Moment of Pleasure

Jhonia arrives at the office and cleans her desk as she had always done before she began working. After an hour she sent a message to reschedule an appointment for Kyhe, she then went to print files, and send files to Kyhe. She stood in silence until each file was signed and sent them to the defense department herself! She returned and took a seat with five minutes to spare! Her mind rushed to breakfast!

“Nearce bought you a ring, where is it?” Mrs. Pinnock asked Jhonia to look up immediately because it was just her and Mrs. Pinnock at the table.

“Well?” Mrs. Pinnock asked Jhonia silently stared at her, however, Mrs. Pinnock was looking down at her breakfast as she eats.

“He’s with-it mother, I don’t intend to retrieve it, but you seem to find this ring important. May I know why?” Jhonia said but with the thought of the ring being important to Mrs. Pinnock she questioned it?

“Because the ring was originally purchased by me that day, he after to pay for it for you thus It was already paid for, so his card was not charge for the ring. Technically, this ring belonged to me, and this ring was a gift from me to you. He is yet to know that ring was not purchased by him, and I would like to keep it so. However, I also wish for you to keep it… Please, retrieve it!”

Mrs. Pinnock said replying to Jhonia question. There she explained why she asked it was because that ring belonged to her to begin with, and the truth was that it was not bought by Nearce but his mother… Returning to reality and doing her work! An hour has passed!

“Ah.. ” Jhonia sighed. She looked at the time then checked her emails but nothing, she checked her own mails and nothing she picked her phone and no text from the girls.

“Weird!” Jhonia said looking back at the computer.

“What is weird?” Daeviann asked as she walked over with a set of files, to Jhonia who quickly pulled out the top drawer and picked the handbook lifted by Jaeminy. She opened it quickly and began searching.

“Tell everyone to refresh their computer.” Jhonia said going through the book before she stopped at a number, electricity department.

“Everyone refreshes your computers quickly.” Daeviann said as she realizes the number Jhonia is getting ready to call!

“It’s still the same. Why?”

“Yes, why did we have refresh for?” The employees each asked their questions. While Jhonia picked up the office phone and punched in each number and sent the call out then waited…

“Hello, good morning. I want all generators to be running in less than ten minutes, set up each generator for each department and have them running. This is an emergency.” Jhonia answered the call and said before she stated, and the other person spoke!

“I’m sorry, but we can’t just take orders from anyone.” A male companion responds on the phone.

“This is Secretary Smith from Secretary\President department speaking, if I’m wrong you can come and make sure the President is aware of what I did but! If I’m right, then I will make sure that you are fired for declining orders from the Presidential office. You have seven minutes left!”

Jhonia said, telling him who she was. She then made a deal with him and told him his minutes remaining ended the call! Kyhe was standing aside in the path to his elevator.

“Six…” Jhonia said watching her computer screen and counting the seconds to each minute.

“What’s going on?” Kyhe asked, however Jhonia thought it was Kuwain as she was not paying attention to her surroundings, and the voice difference.

“I have seen it before! But it was when I’m much younger, we will be out of electricity for 9 hours, or more. I could be wrong, but I’m not changing it. By the way Kuwain how are you– Just coming? Mr. Knight?” Jhonia spoke with surety in her voice and with a smile she proceeded with asking as she turned around in her chair but seeing her boss, instead of Kuwain, she cut herself off but shortly finished her question? As she then questions Kyhe presence. Time went by as they stared at each other.

“Time up!” Jhonia said turned back around to see her computer screen blank out! Immediately after the employees of each department were complaining but in the minute the power of the company came back on.

With each department computer coming on, the AC running again. While others were wondering what happened to cause a electricity glitch Kyhe was wondering how did Jhonia past predict now and was right about it. He turned and went to his office forgetting he was heading out and what for. He was just staring at his computer for half an hour, and it was then he recalls he was leaving but was stopped by Jhonia conversation.

“Ah. It was good I remember this.” Jhonia said to herself as she allowed herself to be pulled into memories of her parents, her smile followed by tears she quickly pulled herself together as she remembers she is at work! Suddenly, all their attention was captured by the sound of heels. The woman walked past everyone and to Kyhe’s office.

“It’s happening again.”

“He’s Kyhe Knight the CEO of Sky.”

“He’s so handsome too.”

The employees speak among themselves, Jhonia ignore them and do her work even though she should have stopped that woman and because she didn’t!?! She was waiting for her boss, to probably yelled at her soon but when moments went by and nothing happens… Jhonia began working again, then the elevator ding and open comes a woman with two guard Jhonia stood up wondering why would a middle-aged woman is being escorted by the company guards.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“She must be important but he’s with someone.” Jhonia whispered to herself while looking at her.

She then decided to go and tell him about the woman because she seems to not be rushing. Jhonia used her badge to open the office door. She stepped inside with surprise holding her breath.

“I’m so sorry. Mr. Knight. I didn’t mean to interrupt your moment of pleasure. There’s a middle-aged woman being escort to your office as I speak.” Jhonia apologized as she was not expecting to see or catch Mr. Knight doing sexual activity and in his office. After speaking she took a deep breath with her back turned to them, Jhonia memory rushed back to the night she caught Nearce cheating! The two shared the same position just in different environments.

“You can turn around, Secretary Smith.” Kyhe said to Jhonia, and she stood still.

“I’m truly sorry, Mr. Knight.” Jhonia said her apology as she began opening the door to leave.

“Where is he?” The woman asked.

“Huh?” Jhonia responded to her question asking.

“My son!” The woman said, Jhonia stood with silence before stepping aside allowing her into Kyhe office. Her body trembled from shock as she was reminded by Nearce cheating on her. Jhonia keeps having flashback to every moment Kyhe mentioned family, but he’s doing the same thing Nearce is or not!? The young woman leave shortly after Jhonia was still walking to her desk slowly.

“Are you okay?” Lusinly asked Jhonia looked up and smiled but her tears run down her cheeks.

“Yes, I was reminded by something I wanted to forget. But it’s nothing don’t worry about it.” Jhonia wiped her tears and said with another smile she went to her desk after sitting down turned her head, looking at the screen off glass.

“Ah..” Jhonia let out a loud sigh.
