“Oh, God! On her father’s birthday. Oh my God!” Mrs. Pinnock said repeatedly as his silence told her all she needed to know.

What?!” Nearce cut off his mother and said then ask as he was continuing. His mother then cuts him off before he could finish his sentence and finishes it for him before she then asks him.

“He said, “Hey! It’s Kyhe. Sorry, about not wanting to give you the day. I heard it was your father’s birthday today! My condolences. See you on Monday, Secretary Smith.” And I asked her? Your boss, are you… Sleeping with him?” Nearce repeated his and Kyhe’s exact words to his mother.

“Stop! Say from “My” say it slowly!” Mrs. Pinnock stopped him and spoke.

“Wait… That was his respecting the dead of not his own but his employees’ father, how did you think before he as her boss, knows her parents or not with the living? Don’t answer that but continued.” Mrs. Pinnock stopped him again and pointed out a fact to him! After asking she requested him to continue instead of answering her.

“Good! That was him showing care for his employee even if it was just pretense, son. The secretary and her last name are more than enough for you to see it through, but you didn’t so let me ask you this, why would he say, it’s Kyhe if his numbers were saved? You were and still are blinded by your conscience, accept who you are and let her go. “And when were you going to tell me. She was sold to you?” Nearce asked and his mom holt steady not making a single movement… Then she suddenly turned around and walked back to the table.

“When I bought her, I was already aware of the deaths her parents owed and that five million dollars did not come from you nor DOJ, it came from me. My daughter! My Jhonia, she is mine when I paid for her not ours. She is free to date whoever, whenever. She ripped out her heart and gave it to you, but you walked on it over it repeatedly, and I, your mother, without knowing the truth was okay with helping you but now? Now, not anymore. You can’t admit to her inside out and for that you will never be forgiven.” Mrs. Pinnock said to him, she then told him how the so-called brought of Jhonia went. Yet is to date whoever and whenever, after she took out her heart and gave him, but he only walked on it. There she made it clear that she would no longer help him for all that he did to Jhonia he would never be forgiven for it. She then leaves him sitting there alone.

“Fuck!!!” He yelled! Time skipped! Jhonia lay on the extended couch on her back relaxing with her eyes closed, the door open and closed. It was silent for some time, Nearce then walked over to her!

“Go away! I want to be alone.” Jhonia confessed she wanted to be alone.

“You don’t even know who it was!” Nearce said to her, hovering over her. Jhonia turned her back to him, and Nearce decided to sit down. Since now, there was space to sit.

“I’m sorry. … I was wrong, again. I made yet another mistake, again. Forgive me is all I can ask of you. But I know that… You might never forgive me and that’s on me, and for sure now more than ever you must hate me! … I found the ring … The one I brought you when we went out together with mom, she was with her friends, and you were staring at it! There were so much better and more expensive ones there but you liked this one, yet all it had was a tiny red Diamond in the center. I bought it out curiosity but the very next day, you were wearing it on your ring finger. At first, I thought it was because I didn’t get you a ring, so I went and got you one, but you never touch it. I know but it’s too late now, I messed up so much you won’t even glance at me like you use to! You looked at the table where my phone sat when you said you were sleeping with your boss. It’s not true but why did you call him to get you instead of me? It’s hard to forgive me but when I saw you with him, I just couldn’t help but wonder if I was right? Because you went to him and not back to me.”

Nearce apologized as he sat and started stating what he did wrong, expressing things he should have long noticed but only now realized it! Then asked? As he continued to explain. He then waited for her to curse or yelled at him to leave, neither of which happened. He then turned around and glanced over looking at her.

“Are you so upset you won’t even speak with me?” Nearce asked but Jhonia was still silent, so he stood up and looked at her, he then realized she was sleeping and decided to cover her and leave her. Before leaving her room, he places the phone down and places the ring on his pinky finger.

Mrs. Pinnock came from her room and walked to Jhonia room from hers, she opens the door and glimpse her on the couch and decided to not disturb her, she closed the door softly and leave. She was on her way back to her room when she heard Nearce on his phone and his tone of voice was not pleasant.

“Have you lost your God damn mind? … You were nothing but a moment of pleasure to me! … Do you think I care? My wife will be at my side until she decides to leave, putting it on the internet that I’m cheating on my wife? I make sure everyone knows we are getting divorced because I’m an unfaithful husband. The person looking bad then will be you, you seduced me while I was drunk and used it against me. You will be seen as someone who ruined a perfect marriage.” Nearce said over the phone and that much was all his mother heard! She wondered how much did she miss and with whom he speak. She left and went to her room, as she was filled with disappointment in her son, she now finds it difficult now to even trust him.

“Jhonia is so broken now, there is no turning back I hope true love finds her, I wish she will never have to go through the process again, of what I went through.” Mrs. Pinnock spoke to herself as she stared at her husband and herself in a framed photo, as she was seated on her bed.
