Vanessa cleared her throat once she was out of Kyle’s car, he was considerate enough to drop her off at her house..

Ray jumped into Arya’s embrace, she was gone for only two hours and it felt like forever..

“Ray did you cause trouble again?”

Bryan sighed in relief when Chloe slowly opened her eyes, he placed the bottle of water harshly on the table and he stared down at her.

“What was that? you scared the hell out of me!”

Chloe took in deep breaths trying to recall what happened, when she remembered, she held Bryan’s hands..

“Did you really meant what you said a while ago?” Chloe asked..

Bryan stared down at their hands and nodded, he pulled his hands away from hers and returned back to his seat..

“I’m sorry I passed out, i was just so overwhelming” Chloe apologized..

“Don’t call me Chloe anymore, call me babe because as from now onwards you’re my pretend boyfriend” She jested with a smile, she couldn’t resist the offer even if she was held at gun point to refute it..

Dylan sighed in relief that she accepted, he had thought it will be a lot harder to get her approval..

“Great! and yeah! I need a date to accompany me tomorrow night, will you be chanced?”

Chloe smiled gleefully “just drop the time and location and I’ll be there but just to be clear about this whole deal.. you’re not allowed to touch me.. don’t even think about me or stare at me for too long”

Arya raised the magazine she was pretending to read over her face as soon as the door opened, her brows furrowed when she heard no sound afterwards..

She brought down the magazine a bit to take a peek and to her surprise Kyle’s face was only an inch away from hers..

Arya was startled by his behaviour, a gasp escaped her lips, how can a grownup be so immature?

“Jeez Kyle! what was that for?”

Kyle chuckled at her expression, he walked away from her and pulled off his tie..

“I was also wondering why you were reading a magazine upside down”

Her gaze fell on the magazine and indeed it was upside down just like he said.

“Or else you’re trying to avoid me, still thinking about what happened earlier?” he added.

Arya’s gaze fell on the box next to her “What is this?”

She asked obviously trying to divert the conversation elsewhere..

Kyle rested his gaze briefly at the boss and turned around to the closet..

“Tomorrow night is my company’s project launching and that box contains a dress for my date.. my mum got it”

Arya sighed and smiled “Your mum is considerate and I’m sure Vanessa would love it”

Kyle paused for a while when he heard her speak, he picked out his PJ and turned around walking to her..

“How did you know that it belongs to Vanessa? who told you?”

Arya raised a brow at his question, wasn’t it obvious? why asking her?

“Well she has been the one accompanying you to various event as your date.. don’t think too much I’ve seen you two on several occasions on the news”

Kyle hummed in reply, he picked the box and placed it into the closet..

“Will you be cool with it?”

Arya nodded and picked up her magazine going through it once more.

“Totally, after all our marriage is a secret and fake one, so no one except us will know about it, and Vanessa really deserve to go with you since this project was possible with her help.. and oh! congratulations on your new project.”

Arya picked her phone that just vibrated next to her, she narrowed her eyes at the screen when she saw the notification that popped up.

“Wow! it’s definitely pretty but expensive ”

Kyle’s attention diverted to her once more,”what is that?”

Arya turned her phone to him “This is a dress called the flying princess, since it was designed every girls dream is to get it.. but sadly it’s one of a kind and it was sold today”

Arya sighed “Sadly yes.. but it costs forty million dollars which is way too expensive..”

Kyle chuckled and left for the shower room, immediately he was gone Arya’s eyes darted to the closed door..

She rubbed her palms gently on her black pants, was it her head playing with her? or is Kyle acting a little different today..
