Arya rushed to the door and pulled it open without prior notice and her lips curved upward into a grin before she bursted out laughing..

Kyle’s face flushed in embarrassment as he got up from the tiled floor..

He slipped while trying to put on his night wear..

“You find this amusing?”

Arya nodded and held onto the walls for support,” it’s not everyday I get to see this Mr Anderson”..

To their amazement, the door was shut behind Arya..

Arya who was a bit startled at first snapped her gaze back to the closed door.

“Why?..

Kyle walked past her to the door, he pulled it with a little force but it was jammed or perhaps locked..

“What is wrong?” Arya asked worriedly..

Kyle placed both hands on his waist and stared back at her..

“It’s locked”

“Locked?!” Arya asked back in horror.

Chloe attempted to step out of the car but was held back by Bryan..

“Give me your phone” He demanded with his hand outstretched to her..

She clutched her purse to her chest in defense, what does he need her phone for?

Bryan sighed and snatched her purse, he threw it back to her once he took her phone..

He tapped on it for a while before he handed it back to her.

“Send me a text before you go to bed” Bryan murmured which she nodded to..

Chloe stepped out of the car with her shopping bags, she waved at him as he sped off..

Meanwhile Chloe’s brothers all looked at each other in bewilderment, they just saw their sister coming down from an expensive car, there was no doubt that it was a guy..

They turned away from the window when they saw her approaching the building..

“I bet he’s a rich man..”

Chloe stepped into the living room only to meet the interrogative stares of her brothers.

She flashed them a smile and placed the shopping bags on a couch..

“Okay spill it you all” Chloe murmured with her hands beneath her bossom, her mind was already prepared for the never ending lecture she was about to receive..

“We just saw you step out of a guy’s car” Arnold spoke out hitting the nail on the head..

Chloe’s lips rounded “Oh yeah.. a friend of mine dropped me off.. and before you assume things bro.. he’s just a friend” She said stressing the word ‘friend’ a bit..

Gerald cleared his throat and stood up from his seat, he walked towards her and patted her head gently..

“Breath silly.. we were just messing with you.. anyway who’s he? have we met him before?”

Chloe picked her shopping bags and started walking away..

“Not cool guys.. I’m heading up, goodnight y’all”

Arya paced around in worry, how on earth were they going to get out of here?

She paused on her tracks when she heard a chuckle from Kyle who sat unbothered at the edge of the bath tub..

“I can’t believe you’re laughing at a time like this”

Kyle shrugged and cleared his throat, his thin long fingers tapped the tub gently in a slow rhythm..

“Why shouldn’t I? it’s really funny to see someone who was laughing at you a while ago in distress”

Arya rolled her eyes, maybe he wasn’t thinking straight or something but this is a shower room, where will they sleep if they don’t get someone to open the door?

“We are both stuck here Kyle, if no one comes in here we are both spending the night in here.. if only Ray could come into the room”

Kyle averted his gaze away from her, the only way out of this place was to go through the window but unfortunately he was scared of heights..

“Relax Arya..”

The next morning..

Arya rubbed her face on a soft spot she found, her eyes slowly opened..

She creased her brows, something wasn’t right here..

“You’re awake?”

And that was it! she turned her head to him and was startled with the closeness they shared at the moment..

She raised her head hurriedly from his chest and sat up and that was when she realized that they were in the bath tub..

“Are you alright?” Kyle asked to which Arya nodded to..

She stepped out of the tub with Kyle’s support and stretched a bit once she was out.

Kyle followed suite, he noticed how she avoided staring directly at him and his lips pulled up into a smirk..

He walked past her to the door for a trial again after their multiple failed efforts to open it last night..

He pulled it open and surprisingly it opened with ease which Kyle found weird, he could tell that something was wrong..

Or perhaps it was locked by someone, but by who?

“Ray” he mouthed..

Arya sighed in relief when the door was opened, she was the first to step out of the shower room..

Meanwhile Ray joked around with his aunt Mia over breakfast..

They were so engrossed in their conversation that they failed to notice the two who just stepped in..

“Did we miss anything special?” Arya asked with a arched eyebrow, seeing the both of them together obviously meant that they were up to something..

Mia chuckled and acted surprise to see them “Oh my! I thought you two were gone for the day”

Kyle could tell that his sister was lying but he wasn’t in the mood to confront her or anything, it was a good thing that she was here..

“Mia, take Arya to the beauty parlor with you today”

Arya was a bit taken aback by the direction of the subject, what has this gotten to do with the beauty parlor?

“What why?” Arya asked in confusion, as far as she know she was good looking..

Kyle nodded and turned around going back to his room..

Chloe yawned lazily and opened her window, she had less than twenty minutes to get ready to leave for Arya’s delight..

Her eyes caught sight of a car parked in front of her building..

She picked up her phone that rang out next to her and raised it to her ear..

“Get dressed and come down in less than twenty minutes..” Bryan ordered and hung up immediately..

“Huh?” Chloe breathed confusedly..

However, she got dressed and went down to meet him just as he had requested of her..

She opened the car’s door and hopped in, Bryan flashed her a small smile..

“Why did you come to pick me up? my brothers are already getting suspicious of me”

Bryan leaned forward to her and a frown settled on Arnold’s forehead as he watched the two in the car..

Bryan who Chloe was with raised his head and met Arnold’s intense stare..

“I think we should go now” Bryan commented helping with her seatbelt..

Chloe’s gaze landed on her house once more, she saw the way the curtains closed and she could tell that someone was there a while ago..

“Hmm”

Bryan slowly drove off, he glanced at her several times wondering how to ask her the question that has been bothering him for a while now..

“Who is Sam?”

Chloe who was lost in her thoughts diverted her gaze to him…

“Huh? oh yeah.. he’s a friend, we work together at Arya’s delight”

Chloe faced him when she heard no response from him..

The silence lasted till they reached their destination..

“Thanks for the free ride” Chloe said and was about to step out of the car when she heard Bryan speak..

“Get off work by three I’ll be here to pick you up”

Chloe nodded and stepped out of the car, Bryan watched her back leaving and his brows creased when he saw a guy who suddenly appeared behind her and closed her eyes with his palm..

“Sam I know that’s you” She said with a wide smile and peeled his hands off her eyes..

Sam chuckled picking something that was stuck in her hair..

“Come on let’s go in”

When he saw her not attempting to take an inch he took her hand in his and pulled her in with him..

Bryan scoffed “Just a friend” he murmured and slowly drove away from the restaurant’s premises..

Arya breathed out in relief when all the sessions were over, she turned towards Mia who was going through her phone..

“Why do I need to go through all of this torture? but I must say my face is glowing more than ever” Arya murmured checking herself out in front of the mirror..

Mia averted her gaze to Arya and was awed “Kyle didn’t tell you anything else?”

Arya shook her head slowly “Was he supposed to?”

Mia paused her lips before she says anymore than necessary..

“Well.. I guess he still hasn’t found the time yet”

A thin line settled on Arya’s forehead, what could Kyle be hiding away from her?…

“We are done ma’am”

Hours later…

Chloe’s phone beeped, she took it as a cue to leave the restaurant, Arya never showed up because she was at the beauty parlor which sounded really weird to her..

“Going somewhere?”

Chloe snapped her gaze to him with a nod and walked out of the restaurant hurriedly..

“I’m here” She got into the car with a small smile, Bryan glanced at the guy he saw this morning with Chloe through the see-through glass..

“Just a friend I see” Bryan murmured with a loud scoff, Chloe followed his line of sight..
