Chloe came out of the mall with four shopping bags, she stopped walking when she felt her phone vibrate in her pants pocket.

“Who could it be?”

She placed the bags next to her feet on the ground and raised her phone to her ear..

“Big bro will you quit bugging me? I’m busy, I’ll talk to you later bye!..”

Chloe disconnected the call with a loud huff, suddenly a man crotched down in front of her and snatched two of her shopping bags before taking off to his heels..

Chloe’s eyes widened, she picked the other two bags and started screaming “Thief! Thief!” She yelled out running after him but to her amazement, he stopped next to a familiar car and handed the bags to the driver and in return he got some cash and left..

Chloe’s lips parted in confusion, she ran to the car that was about to move..

“Hey!”

Her eyes rounded in shock when she saw who was driving the car..

“You? have you resulted into stealing? whatever, i don’t care! hand me my bags”

Bryan had a roguish grin on his lips “Well get in, I want to take you somewhere”

Chloe opened the car’s door and sat down next to him..

“I know what you’re trying to do Mr Alexander and I’m definitely not interested” Chloe clarified and snapped her gaze to the other side..

Bryan laughed out at her assumptions, he placed his head on the steering wheel unable to control his laughter..

“I don’t get what’s so funny”

“Trust me.. I’ve seen a lot of women and you are definitely not my taste in women at all” Bryan concluded and leaned forward to her..

Chloe backed down as he came closer to her “What are you doing?”

Bryan snorted and helped her with her seatbelt “Get those naughty thoughts out of your head”

Chloe flushed red in embarrassment, the car slowly moved out of the mall..

Arya got a call from the hospital where are father was at..

“What happened to him?”

She left the maid in charge of Ray and left for the hospital immediately..

Immediately she got to the hospital, she was ushered into his ward by the nurse in charge of his wellbeing..

“Mr Carter woke up a few minutes ago but can’t seem to speak a word or move his body”

Arya ran to his bed to confirm if what the nurse said was true, and to her surprise his brown eyes were really opened which looked dull..

“Dad! you’re awake!” She exclaimed and took his frail hands in hers..

Tears stained the corner of her eyes, even if he can’t talk to her right now, him being awake was just more than enough to her..

“Ma’am please come with me.. the doctor has a word to say to you”

Arya wiped her eyes with the back of her palm and planted a kiss on his forehead after which she left the ward..

As soon as she was gone with the nurse, the man on the bed blinked his eyes and turned his head to the direction of the closed door.

“Arrange everything as soon as possible” Karl ordered over the phone and hung up.

Tomorrow night was his company’s project launching and a few preparations we’re being made towards it..

There was a brief knock on his door before the door was pushed open.

“Come in” Kyle’s unbothered tone came again and a lady stepped into his office with a smile..

Kyle didn’t need to raise his head to know who it was, he simply shut down his laptop and looked up to her.

“It’s a good thing you’re here”

Vanessa took a sit in front of him, they were currently separated by a broad brown wooden desk..

“Yeah I couldn’t resist to come after you asked for my presence”

“As you know about the project launching tomorrow night, I need a date and a suitable outfit, that’s if you don’t mind” Kyle murmured and he didn’t fail to see the sparks that were ignited in Vanessa’s eyes..

Her lips pulled up into a small grin, so this was the reason he called her? what about Arya? oh wait! maybe he found out that she isn’t too classy to be taken to a public place like that, she thought inwardly..

“Of course I don’t mind” Vanessa replied hurriedly, has Kyle taken a liking to her?

Vanessa was on cloud nine all throughout the ride, she was sitting next to him in the car, what more could she ask for?

They arrived at the mall and the driver came forward and opened the door for them to step out..

Vanessa for once wished a fan could spot her or something but to her utter dismay nothing of that sought happened..

They walked into the mall and were ushered in by the manager himself..

“It’s nice to have you here Mr Anderson.. please this way”

Kyle took a seat that he was offered, a variety of suites and tuxedos were wheeled to him for him to pick something of his taste..

Vanessa took this as an opportunity to show him how much she cared about him..

“I think this will fit you better Kyle.. why don’t you try it on?”

Kyle waved them off “I’m not here for suite or tuxedos..”

Vanessa and the manager raised a brow, what could he want then?

“Kyle? then what do you want?” Vanessa asked in curiosity..

Kyle snapped his head to the manager “I need a dress.. for my date”

Vanessa’s cheeks flushed pink, she raised her hands over her lips to hide the smile that was growing larger on her face by the seconds that passed by..

“Oh right away Mr Anderson! but can you give us a brief description of what you want exactly?”

Vanessa diverted her gaze to Kyle, if Kyle answers the managers question she’ll take it as a feeling that Kyle has a thing for her, she thought inwardly with crossed fingers”

She adhered to him and turned around slowly to him..

The manager giggled at the scene in front of him..

“You can sit back now Vanessa..” Kyle said and returned his gaze back to the manager..

“I hope you got what i was trying to show you” Kyle said to the manager to see him nod eagerly..

“Of course Mr Anderson! I got the perfect dress for your date, it’s one of a kind and we have it, tailored by a famous brand.. she calls this masterpiece, the flying princess”

Vanessa’s eyes rounded in shock, the flying princess? she heard about the dress a few days ago and how expensive it was..

The manager brought forward a magazine and handed it to Kyle, he pointed at a dress in the magazine..

“Have a look at the dress.. it costs only a little amount” The manager said with a toothy smile.

Kyle’s eyes fell on the price tag and his chin pulled up a bit by the round figure..

“A little indeed, pack it up”

Chloe stepped out of Bryan’s car and stretched a bit, he stepped out and stood before her as they stared at the eatery in front of them.

“Why spend so much here? when you can actually come to Arya’s delight and get a discount from me?”

Bryan nudged her back pushing her in “That would actually look weird and your boss might interpret it wrongly”

Chloe snorted and walked into the eatery, she pulled a seat out for herself and sat down..

“Let me guess.. you booked the whole restaurant?” she asked to see Bryan nod in affirmation..

“Rich jerks!”

Bryan cleared his throat to gain Chloe’s attention, he really had an urgent matter to speak with her about..

“Beat it! I know you want to say something.. I’m all ears” Chloe said pushing her hair behind her ears..

Bryan chuckled at her behavior and his face turned serious once more..
