Two days later!

“Did you hear High View was sold? Omg will they finally change how things used to run?” Employees were talking when Tillayu entered the room.

“No, things won’t change but if you keep slacking on your work like you used to I will fire you.” Tyu stated to them, in shock they stare at her but then they all began laughing.

“Hey, do you think that because your cousin is one of the most important people in this city makes you boss, or allow you to boss us around? The hotel was sold to a man and not you! Haha, guys let’s go.” One of the employees responded to Tyu, instead of firing them she kept calm. The door opened and a male figure entered..

“It will be announced tonight I guess see you all there.” Tyu said, as she was about to turn around she heard him speak!

“Someone who doesn’t respect others doesn’t need to be here for tonight! Fire her.” Kuwain said to Tyu, she turned completely and started smiling.

“It’s okay, we can fire her after the event… There is something I would like to discuss with you, I’m glad you came.” Tillayu said to him, smiling away as she told him she’s happy he is there.

“No, fire her before noon. Let’s go.” Kuwain said and together they left for the office. The employees began speaking to themselves about what just transpired and the fact that their new boss is someone they mistreated. Meanwhile!

“Lusinly! Can you come and do me a quick favor?” Jhonia called Lusinly and asked? She rushed to Jhonia’s desk and leaned towards her facing her computer and overlooked her open email. Jhonia quickly gave her the file!

“Send it to the President’s office.” Jhonia said to her and clear her computer screen, she then sigh with the thought Lusinly didn’t see her email from Mrs. Pinnock! Lusinly went up and knocked on the door before entering.

“President, Secretary Smith asked that I deliver these documents to you.” Lusinly said putting down the file then turned to leave.

“Wait. Why are you delivering these files, is it your job to do so?” Kyhe asked her, as he glared up at Lusinly who stood in fear.

“Speak!” Kyhe said to her and she nodded immediately.

“I don’t know. Secretary Smith, seems to be upset about something or maybe she’s upset with you.” Lusinly said telling him and then mumbled her ending words.

“Speak properly.” Kyhe said to her in an upset tone of voice.

“Sorry, it’s just that since you left her in your office monday she has been upset!” Lusinly said. Kyhe memories rush back to a few days ago.

“Its what’s wrong with you? If she is a good employee as you said, then think back to when she became upset. Like the day, the conversation you and her had, when she started sending her work to you by someone else. If she’s upset? It’s because you did something not the other way around! Use me for example when it comes on to the time my dad dies or on his birthday, I don’t want to see anyone I lock myself away from the world cry or get drunk.” Tillayu words replayed in his head.

“Do you know why she’s upset?” Kyhe asked and Lusinly opened her eyes wider at him!

“Ah President, shouldn’t you know what happened?” Lusinly asked him and instantly he looked up at her!

“Leave… And tell her I said, she should be the one to deliver whatever it is concerning her job to me, herself! Understood?” Kyhe said to her, taking a moment before stating to her then asked?

“Yes. President.” Lusinly rushed from his office immediately and down to Jhonia, she took a deep breath and smiled.

“Jh… on… i… a!!! President Knight said, you send the files yourself! Also, I don’t want to be fired so please!”

Lusinly draws out Jhonia’s name then tells Jhonia in her own way, of what Kyhe said then adds her reason for Jhonia to send the files herself! After another smile Lusinly went to her seat! Kuwain stepped off the employee elevator and walked towards Kyhe office.

“Secretary Smith.” Kuwain said before, passing her by.

“Mr Dow– Kuwain.” Jhonia said, cutting herself off! Kuwain smiled and went to Kyhe office. Lusinly was peeping at her co-worker computer when she remember what she saw on Jhonia’s computer, she got up immediately and rushed around her co-workers and up to the President’s office and knocked before opening the door and taking one inside.

“I forgot to say because I thought it was important! President Secretary Smith’s father’s birthday is next Thursday.”

“Secretary Smith’s father’s birthday is next Thursday.”

Kuwain and Lusinly said together. Kyhe thought he was hearing double because the two of them spoke at once.

“Close the door behind you!” Kyhe said and Lusinly did as she was told and stepped further inside.

“Explain what you said, just now one at a time.” Kyhe said, looking at both of them!

“I was collecting the file she wanted me to send to you when I saw her open email. The person was telling her to celebrate her father’s birthday, over the weekend since she won’t have next Thursday.” Lusinly said to him and explained what she saw from her side, Kyhe then turns to Kuwain who is on his phone.

“Lusinly, I think you should go now. What I’m about to say to your President, I believe it’s best if you don’t hear it.” Kuwain said to her, as he looked at her and explained, then looked up at Kyhe, after a moment.

“It’s okay you may go.” Kyhe said to her, Lusinly nodded and left. After some time, Kuwain sat out on the extended sofa.

“Did she ask you for Thursday and you said, no?” Kuwain asked him and Kyhe, who was getting up, sat back in his chair.

“I raised a question about what she needs the day for? But she refused to say so… Then… That’s when I told her no.” Kyhe said he asked for the reason but she didn’t say, he took a moment with one word he became silent then said to him. Kuwain slammed his hands on the table before him, then stood up!

“After all she did for you and Sky. You said, No! In the space of four months she did more than anyone in here did and you said, No! Kyhe you said No!” Kuwain got upset saying similar words he used with Tyu, stating he said no Kuwain was really angry with him because he knew something he didn’t.

“Why are you getting upset about it, are you dating her?” Kyhe asked with guilt waving over him with a heavy heart.

“Her father is dead, and Thursday Kyhe, Thursday is his birthday. She will be celebrating her dead father’s birthday because it’s all she can do. And you said, No! You said no and to the dead. What did she do that made you say no to her?” Kuwain lowered his voice as he told Kyhe Jhonia, father is dead. He then explained what she would be doing because that’s all she can do but he said no and He wanted to know what she did for his no, so he asked him.

“I told you why I said, no. Next Thursdays– Never mind! Thanks for telling me.” Kyhe said to Kuwain who is leaning forward to him, with his hands on Kyhe’s desk. Kyhe was going to speak about why he didn’t want to give her the day but he cut himself off and said to him, That Thursday is Sky’s anniversary.

“What do you plan to do?” Kuwain asked him, and he got up and took his jacket as he began putting it on, he looked up at Kuwain.

“I will fix it, let’s have a day drink.” Kyhe said to Kuwain, however, Kuwain was not okay with the way he said that he would fix it.

“And how do you plan to fix it? By chance saying sorry?” Kuwain questioned him, Kyhe sigh loudly and picked his phone from his desk, then walked to the door.

“If you don’t wish to drink with me, say so and don’t find excuses to have me change my mind. I said, I would fix it and I will.” Kyhe said leaving him there standing in his office, he walked down and past Jhonia. After reaching his elevator with his finger print press he waited for the elevator. He then looked back at Jhonia but Kuwain was already there making her smile. Kyhe frowned and stepped on the elevator.

“How else would he know he’s dead if he wasn’t with her, he even ignored my question about it.” Kyhe said and grimaced at the thoughts he is having. He felt hurt that Kuwain got to her first, the heavy heart feeling returned and tears peaked into his eyes as the door closed them off from eyes.
