Chapter 1901 Evil Monks
Upon awakening, Sally struggled for breath.
Elijah, who was beside her fanning her, sprang into action and helped her to sit up. "It's okay. It's just a
dream."
It took a few seconds for Sally's vision to adjust as she glanced toward the clock.
While only a short time had passed in her dream, it was now nearly five o'clock in the afternoon.
"Drink some water." Elijah brought her water bottle over.
Elijah noticed that Sally had a dislike for drinking water, so he decided to solve the problem by getting
her a water bottle with a straw.
This way, Sally could easily take a few sips whenever she was idle, gradually increasing her water
intake throughout the day.
Sally put the straw in her mouth and quenched her thirst with a few big gulps.
"Are you hungry? The dining hall won't open until a while later. Let me take you out for dinner." Elijah
gently tidied her disheveled hair and spoke to her in a comforting tone. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
Sally said nothing.
After a period of silence, she spoke to Elijah with a hoarse voice, "Elijah, I don't know what to do.
Micah's death cannot be meaningless. Can I take revenge on that lunatic?"
Desperately, she clutched Elijah's arm, her eyes red and bloodshot. "Why should a murderer be
allowed to get away with it? What about Micah? Should his death be in vain?"
"Sally, calm down," Elijah said, embracing her and soothing her back with gentle strokes.
"I can't calm down!" Sally wailed, choking back sobs. "I can't!"
Sally hadn't eaten anything for two days and almost ran out of tears.
She dozed off whenever her tears dried up, only to awaken and find herself relapsing into sobs again.
This circle repeated itself endlessly.
After getting in touch with Athena, Elijah expressed his desire to take Sally to Girard City.
He ended the call and then shared with Sally his intention to take her to leave the monastery and go to
Girard City.
To his surprise, Sally did not refuse.
Rather, she spoke in a detached tone. "Your senior brothers must hate me very much. You left the
monastery for me, causing your mentor to suffer with regret until his death, and Micah also died
indirectly because of me. I have to go. I cannot stay here and keep provoking their anger any longer."
As they made their way to the door, they heard a commotion.
"You can't do this to me! You promised to aid us in contacting the doctor!"
Sally felt a shiver run down her spine, but Elijah hadn't realized what was going on. Read at
