You, Me And Our Genus Twins

Chapter 412

Chapter 412

A crowd started to form around him. Some called the cops while some called an ambulance. It was chaos, but he couldn't care about them. All he wanted was to look for his phone.

But he couldn't find it no matter how hard he tried. He stared dead ahead, pointing somewhere in the distance. I can't die. I have a lot of things I have yet to do. What's going to happen to Rosetta and Bobby if I die?

But death wasn't something that could be changed by an individual's will. No matter how reluctant he was to leave this world, Josiah's consciousness slowly fell into darkness. Before he took his last breath, he finally regretted his decision.

He did marry Rosetta, had a son with her, and lived happily for a decade or so, but once he was dead, his family would be done for. Not like he could do anything, however. He was almost dead. Josiah wanted to do something for his family, but his heart stopped before he could even form another thought.

His eyes were wide open. The doctor who came running after getting that call tried his best for a few minutes before he closed Josiah's eyes. The guy went out with a whimper.

Half an hour later, news of his death reached Rosetta, and she fainted. When she woke up and remembered about Josiah's death, she cried her heart out.

Before Lucian told her the truth, she had no idea her ex-husband died at Josiah's hand, but even after she knew about the truth, there was nothing she could do.

She was Josiah's wife, and they had a child together. They were an actual family. No matter what

Josiah did in the past, it didn't change the fact that he loved and cared for her.

If it weren't for him, she would have lost all hope to live after Lucian's father died. She couldn't even have lasted this long.

After she married Josiah, they had a son, and tragedy seemed to have left her. Once again, she was a happy lady. Rosetta wasn't a greedy woman. All she wanted was for their family to live in peace. That's all I'm asking for, but why is fate so cruel?

She got angrier the more she thought about it, so she called Lucian. When it went through, she screeched hysterically, "How could you do this to me? Josiah's dead! Are you happy now? What about me? What about your brother? Why couldn't you have mercy on us?"

Lucian wanted to kill her right after he took her call. He couldn't understand how he could be so stupid as to fall for her sweet talk in the past.

Wait… Josiah's dead? That's fast. He got out the easy way.

Lucian gleaned a sliver of grim satisfaction from Josiah's death, but he also thought it was a shame. He didn't manage to inflict more pain on him yet. And then he hung up on Rosetta. Not going to waste my time on her.

Rosetta called him again, but Lucian had already blocked her number, much to her dismay.

She relied on Josiah for a living all these years. Rosetta was a full-time housewife who took care of her home and family. She didn't have to do anything else, but now that Josiah was dead, the future seemed

bleak. The house was banged up, and everything was ruined. This is no place to live. Bobby and I are going to be homeless tonight!

She held her phone and struggled to get up. First, she went to the hospital to identify Josiah's body, and then, with the police's help, she took him to the mortuary.

Her son was staying in his school's dorm, so she did not have to worry about him for now. I'll just have to find another house before the holidays start.

While she was dealing with the aftermath of Josiah's death, her landlord noticed the mess his house was in. He came looking for her and yelled at her furiously. Rosetta thought he wanted to kill her for a moment.

A shocked Rosetta paid the landlord a huge sum of money to get out of the lease contract and spent more money to rent another house.

She then realized her bank account only had less than a hundred dollars left. That's not even enough for Bobby for this month. How are we supposed to go on living?

Oh, right. Lucian. She went to his place and told the guards she was Lucian's mother, but the guard denied her entrance.

Rosetta waited outside for a whole day, but she didn't even see Lucian. Just when she thought there was no way out, someone from the insurance agency came and gave her a lot of indemnity money, but the debt collector came swiftly afterward.

A group of burly men showed up, and it scared her. The IOU had Josiah's signature on it, so she

quickly gave the indemnity money to the debt collector.

She finally got the IOU, but there wasn't a lot of money left for her and Bobby. Only a few hundred dollars left.

Bobby was attending the best high school in Dusktown, and he needed more than a few hundred dollars a month just to live. We can't survive with only a few hundred dollars. She had no choice but to seek out Lucian again.

He's one of the richest men in Dusktown. I'm his mother and Bobby is his brother. There's no way we're going to go homeless while he has enough money to run a country.

But she still didn't get to see Lucian no matter how hard she tried. Left with no choice, she transferred Bobby to a regular school and got herself a job.

But it wasn't a great job. She was old and had no job experience, so all she got was the job of a kitchen assistant.

Just one day of working made her body sore. When she got back home, the first thing she did was cry her heart out on the couch. This was the first time in her life she had to suffer so much.

But the worst thing was she couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. She might have to live out the rest of her days working a dead-end job.

Oh my God. What did I do to deserve this? Why do you torture me, God? This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

I have an extremely rich son. Why should I live my life groveling like a maggot that can't even make

enough money to support itself?

And then she remembered what Lucian told her. He said he would make her life a living hell, and she finally understood what he meant.

Ever since Josiah died, her life had been nothing but hell. She lived in pain, agony, and despair, but there was no way out for her. She had to take every day as it came until she took her last agonizing breath and went out with a whimper like her dead husband.
