Chapter 292
Chapter 292
Patricia felt Martha's gaze, so she looked over.
Martha smiled at her, to which Patricia responded by returning her a smile.
When Rose saw her mother's expression, she turned her head to look before snorting, "Mom, aren't you being too polite with her?"
This time, Martha came back to her senses. "I just think she looks familiar, but I can't remember where I saw her from."
Rose was eating before this and initially found the dishes to be up her alley. Nikola sure knew how to enjoy life. Hearing that, however, she raised her head. "You said you've seen Patricia before, Mom?"
It aroused her curiosity. Could her mother bring up something terrible about Patricia and ruin her reputation? In that case, the Arnolds might not want her anymore! Martha shook her head and replied, "She looks familiar, but I don't remember where I've seen her."
…
After Patricia and Isaac finished their meal, they left the restaurant and returned to the banquet hall.
Nikola walked toward them and asked, "Ise, how is it? My kitchen serves good food, don't they?"
After asking, she glanced at the girl beside him. "Are you hungry, babe? Wanna get something to eat?"
Victoria shook her head. "I prefer having these cold meals."
Glancing at the time, Isaac uttered, "I ordered a supercar for you as your birthday present, and it's at the door. If you don't like it, tell me what you want instead." With that, he left with Patricia in his arms. It was obvious that he didn't want to stay any longer.
Nikola was quite disappointed. "Ise, why are you leaving so soon? Percy isn't even coming. I feel lonely."
Isaac replied indifferently, "Your girlfriend is here to accompany you, and so many of your friends are here. Why would you be lonely? Excuse me now."
Although Nikola said so, he was well aware that Ise was never one to enjoy crowded events. Now that he had Tricia with him, he no longer had the intention to stay.
Nikola then raised his voice. "Ise, take it easy. Tricia isn't the Dream Girl I've gifted to you. She can't stand your torture."
Hearing that, Patricia couldn't help widening her eyes. She merely understood half of his sentence. Raising her delicate face at Isaac, she noticed how his side profile was as beautiful as a statue. Every part of it was a work of art. Besides, his mask suited him so well. It was like an accessory to his face, making him look even more outstanding.
"Is Dream Girl your ex-girlfriend?" She suddenly felt bitter and a little regretful for missing out on his past. At the thought of how intimate things might have been for him and Dream Girl, she felt uneasy.
In response, Isaac furrowed his brows. Nikola, that evil brat! How dare he mention this!
"Tell me!"
She withdrew from his arms and strode out of the hotel. Isaac took the coat the waiter handed to him and quickly chased after her, draping it over her shoulders. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Hugging her shoulders tightly, he reminded her, "Tricia, it's cold outside. Wear this."
Patricia pouted, "It's fine if you don't want to tell me. Stop trying to coax me." She put on the coat by herself, then stepped into the car and sat far away from him.
Isaac felt a headache. He raised his bony fingers and gently pinched the center of his brows, then glanced sideways at her.
Sadly, she merely showed him the back of her head, so he called out to her softly, "Tricia…"
Patricia didn't respond and looked out the window. She never imagined that a day like this would come, a day when she would become jealous of another girl. As expected, every girl in love was a fool.
In the past, she used to think that she would become the most sensible and well-behaved girlfriend. However, it seemed that she had become a child in the relationship. She would whine and get upset, waiting for her boyfriend to coax her.
Without a choice, Isaac moved closer to her. He stretched out his long arm and pulled her close to him, gently leaning in to bite her ear. "You've seen her before."
