Chapter 41
Her expression went stiff.
Looking at her reflection in the respective steel wall, she fixed her hair and clothes.
The three of them were alone in the elevator.
Finally, Stella had the guts to say, “Good morning.
”
After they exchanged greetings, she lowered her head and moved to a corner as if that would make them forget about her presence.
The air became more and more awkward.
To reduce the tension she was in, she took out her phone, intending to scroll through social media.
Surprisingly, there was a message waiting for her.
Maverick had texted her the address of where they would be meeting about five minutes ago.
Stella’s anger was at an all-time high because of this message.
With a deep frown, she tapped her phone screen hard as she typed two messages in a row.
“Okay!”
“Let’s meet tonight!”
As soon as she hit the send icon twice, two loud chimes broke the silence in the elevator.
The chimes came from Matthew’s pocket.
Stella’s brows instantly knitted as she tilted her head in confusion. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

She looked up at Matthew and then looked down at her phone.
Was this just a coincidence?
Before Stella could figure this out, Fernando turned to her and called in a serious tone, “Stella.
”
“Uh?” Stella replied subconsciously.
She put away her phone in a hurry, straightened her back, and flashed a polite smile.
“How may I help you?”
“One of the company’s branches is currently experiencing some crisis.
We need to travel down there to solve it,” said Fernando seriously.
Stella nodded slightly and quietly waited for him to continue.
“The head of the public relations department had an accident recently and broke her arm, so she can’t come with us.
Mr.
Clark has made you her replacement for the trip,” Fernando explained, rather indifferently.
