Chapter 103 Spider Gang
Chapter 103 Spider Gang
"No, you can't!"
Hearing Maxwell mention what happened that night, Metis, with her charming face scowling, suddenly
shuddered.
Metis dared not to recall what she had suffered from that night.
"Metis, if you hadn't needled me, I wouldn't have done that." sighed Maxwell, not knowing what to do.
"Shut up!" quivered Metis, staring angrily at Maxwell.
If her sight were harmful, Maxwell could have been in tatters. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
"Dragon! Remember! I will never let you off! I'll pay back the pain I suffered from that night as much as
possible!" snarled Metis, crossing her arms across her chest.
She was so wrathful as if she could kill at any moment, which sent the atmosphere in the car tenser.
Gazing at her charming face, Maxwell seemed speechless. Gorgeous and tender as Metis appeared to
be, she was, in fact, such a vicious soul!
Regardless the potential danger, too many people lost their life.
"Metis, you can directly come at me, but do not harm others." said Maxwell, smoking deeply.
"Instead, I'm quite curious about Greta." sneered Metis, gluing her eyes on Maxwell.
His expression suddenly changed when he heard the name Greta, which targeted at his weakness.
Scowling at Metis, Maxwell suddenly pinched her tender throat!
"How dare you, Metis! If you dare to make a move, believe it or not, I would take down your palace!"
roared Maxwell, with his voice trembling in the air.
"Huh, it seems you have a crush on her... So what, you wanna throttle me?" sniffed Metis, who
remained calm all the time with her attractive eyes gazing at Maxwell.
"Now your home base is in the target of twenty intercontinental missiles. See, TWENTY missiles! It
would be enough to crush you if your base is fired." sniggered Metis.
Startled, Maxwell couldn't have imagined that Metis was such a demon that she had already hatched a
plot and even foresaw his attack.
He gritted his teeth... He had rarely been restricted by others, but Metis was such a formidable enemy
who predicted all his upcoming actions.
"What on earth do you want?" uttered Maxwell.
"I arrived in Ocean City not for killing you. Your life is in my hand. I don't want to take it that early now."
said Metis.
"Then for what? Leave Ocean City in chaos?" said Maxwell, blinking his eyes which went deep.
"Ocean city is useless to me. I don't see any benefits if I caused uproar here." beamed Metis, "I'm just
here for one thing. Once I get it, I'll leave soon."
"Just for one thing?" asked Maxwell, bewildering.
If Metis just revealed her goal, Maxwell would not take it seriously, but when she said just for getting
one thing, how could he believe in it?
Only a fool could believe that it was solely for one object that the Goddess of Wisdom from Dark World
travelled far to Ocean City.
"Right! I'll leave after getting it." chortled the Goddess of Wisdom. Her smile was so calm that no one
could figure out her real purpose.
"Just drive" she whispered, with her pleasant smell penetrating into his nose.
…
In the villa, Greta watched TV for a long time in her bedroom. Opening the door, Maxwell went in.
"Did you send her to the hotel?" asked Greta.
Maxwell nodded. He appeared calm, but an unveiling uneasiness remained in his eyes.
"I'm sleepy now, Ms. Greta. I should take a nap in my bedroom." he said, went back and gave a phone
call.
A young man answered his call. "Keep an eye on Metis. Her arrival here is with some detrimental
purpose..." said Maxwell firmly.
"Yes, sir!"
After hanging up, Maxwell stood by the window. A blast of wind at night came with coolness. Maxwell
gazed through the window, with a touch of worry in his eyes.
…
One day in the afternoon, after Maxwell finished the housework, Leila removed the bandage on her
underbelly. The wound had already been recovered. Then she flexed her body and went out.
"What're you going to do?" Maxwell asked her to stop.
"My wound is nearly recovered. No one has protected Ms. Greta these days, but at least I can ensure
her safety." glanced Leila at him scornfully. It should be Maxwell, Greta's man, who made sure Greta
was safe.
Whereas, who could imagine that Maxwell was such a jerk that Greta had got to employ Leila as her
bodyguard to ensure her safety.
"What's the use of safety? Versatile as you are, you still failed to protect her completely." muttered
Maxwell.
Though he complained in a low voice, it didn't prevent Leila from catching his words. She turned
around, giving him an indifferent glimpse and saying, "Unlike someone who only knows how to hide
behind a lady and to seek help from her, I tried my best to ensure her safety."
Then, she strode outside the villa.
Maxwell stared at her figure, gradually smiling.
Firm and persistent, two security guards stood still at the entrance of Sandoval Tower.
Suddenly, two men in colorful shirt approached there offensively.
Reaching their hands, two guards stopped them, saying politely, "Sorry sir, please tell me why you are
here, because outsiders are not allowed to enter the Sandoval Group these days."
This was a new regulation implemented by the Sandoval Group, where the Sandoval Group attempted
to avoid the chaos from strangers because of an increase of violence rate in Ocean City.
"Damn! I have friends here. Can't I even see them?" said one of the men in colorful shirt, feeling
indignant.
"No, you are not allowed unless one of our staff here bring you in." said the guard, without permission.
"Fuck off!" uttered another man indifferently, suddenly pushing the guard away.
"Bump!" The man reached his hand all of a sudden and snapped at the guard.
"How dare you, such a guard dog! No one dares to behave badly in front of me in Spider Gang." yelled
that man, hit the underbelly of the guard and kick him meters away with his mouth spitting blood.
"Stop!" All of a sudden the leader of guard yelled, followed by 10 other guards galloping here.
"All right...Damn powerful! Huh! I will never let you off!" warned the two men, squinting at the
approaching guards eye to eye.
They fled soon and disappeared into the distance in a minute just as other guards put two injured
guards back to their feet again.
After the tumult, everything quickly came back to normal.
However, unexpectedly, the square saw a gradual decrease of crowds in front of the entrance of the
Sandoval Tower.
In an instant, a flood of people gathered faraway and aggressively drew near the Sandoval Tower.
Standing by the French window, Greta overlooked the scenery through the window. Her eyes suddenly
focused on the square where the entrance of the Sandoval Tower was closely blocked by a swarm of
people.
A group of guards dashed from the entrance, blocking the door and facing off the crowd. The
atmosphere then intensified, like a bomb about to explode.
However, controlled by a gang of riots, two guards at the entrance, with their heads pressed down,
were kicked and punched fiercely by two men in colorful shirts, and soon they were tarnished with
blood and injuries.
Seeing that, Greta pressed her eyebrows seriously and reckoned that they were here for uproar.
