Triplets for the Billionaire novel (Oliver Gusto)

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Since she gave a positive response to Lewis’s proposal, Katherine knew she had to sit her kids down and tell them about it. She had it in mind to do so when the triplets were present and preferably after her mother’s wedding but her children were smart enough to recognize an engagement ring.

She sighed when she saw those tiny faces, staring at her expectantly. “We are going to discuss this later. You all need to prepare for school.”

“But we don’t like Lewis,” Sammy said.

“I thought I just spoke to you about being nice.”

“I don’t like him, mommy.” Sebastian voiced out.

“Why?” She asked, staring at Sebastian and subsequently at Sammy who seemed pissed.

“I don’t like him and Natasha.” Sebby referred to Lewis and his elder sister.

“There has to be a reason you all don’t like him and I want to know why.”

Sebastian said nothing while Samuel shrugged.

“Not you both looking so innocent right now. Lewis loves you all and even buys toys for you.”

“The toys are in the playroom, we never play with them,” Sammy mumbled.

“See, Lewis is a good man and mama loves him. You all have to accept that.” Not seeing a positive response on her childrens' faces, she exhaled. “We will have this discussion later when your sister is with us.” She said, after which she led the boys to the adjoined bathroom.

Once Kathie was done cleaning and dressing up for her boys, Alice, the nanny took them downstairs for breakfast while Katherine got Sophie ready. Just like Sammy, Sophie was not a morning person either. After two minutes of persuading, Kathie succeeded in getting her off the bed.

“Good morning, mama.” She greeted in Katherine’s arms, robbing her eyes with the back of her hands.

“Good morning, my love.” She kissed her little girl’s forehead.

“Did you sleep well?”

Sophie shook her head immediately which earned a chuckle from her mother.

“You want to sleep some more?”

Sophie nodded.

Katherine smiled, “You will sleep some more after school. You are almost late for school so let’s get you ready.”

“How was your date?”

“It was fine.” Katherine showed her daughter her finger. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Sophie frowned, started at the ring, at her mom and back at the ring. “Lewis gave you?”

She nodded.

“Why?” The little girl asked.

“He wants me to be his wife.”

“I don’t like that.”

“Why?”

“Because Lewis is ugly.”

“Sophie, even the blind can testify that Lewis is very handsome. Tell me your reason or you will forever hold your peace.”

Sophie shrugged. “Ugly does not only mean his face”

Katherine sighed. “We will talk about this with your brothers when you get back from school.”

Kathie got her baby girl ready for school after which Sophie went downstairs for breakfast.

Kathie changed her clothes, retouched her hair, and then made her way downstairs too. By then the kids were done eating. She helped them in packing their lunch bags and before they knew it, She was driving them to school. The ride was filled with her babies making funny conversations about the cartoon they had watched the previous day.

Since they turned six, the triplets stopped their mom and nanny from walking them to class anytime they dropped them off at school. According to them, it was an embarrassing act since they were now grown.

After receiving hugs and kisses from their mom, they hurried to their classes.

“Don’t forget to give the cookie to Kiki as you apologize to her.” Sammy stared at his mom, still not convinced about the whole apology thing.

“I don’t mind following you to the class so you can do it in my face.”

“What? No! That will be embarrassing.”

Katherine replied to her Son with creased eyebrows.

Sammy exhaled. “Fine, I’ll apologize to her during lunchtime.”

“Good.” Kathie smiled, pulling him in for a hug. “I love you.”

“I love you too, mama.” He hugged her back and collected his forehead kiss before making his way to the class.

Katherine Peters was almost home when her phone buzzed. Seeing that it was her best friend who was calling, She connected her phone to the speaker, and then answered the call.

“Hi love, I just got to work but called to check up on you before I start anything. How are you?” Michelle’s voice came through.

“I’m fine babes.”

“You sure?”

“Yes, I think so.”

“I’m trying not to go crazy with everything happening. I hardly got any sleep last night. And I woke up to the kids questioning the ring on my finger. They are not happy with Lewis's proposal. I don’t know why they never seem to like him and they couldn’t even give me one good reason to prove their point.”

“You’ve got to take it easy, Kathie. Don’t be too hard on them or on yourself. You raised them all by yourself without a father figure so it’s normal for them to be nervous about it all.”

“Yeah, I just wish they would give Lewis the chance to make it up to them and stop assuming things about him.”

Michelle chuckled, “kids will always be kids. Just give them time, and they will adjust. They are probably scared about Lewis taking all the attention from them.”

“Yeah, I’ll still sit them down and talk some sense to them.”

“So have you decided what will happen next Saturday?”

“You don’t mind ditching my mom’s wedding, do you?” Katherine asked hopefully.

“You know your mom and I are never on good terms. If I would be at the party then it’s because of you so who am I if you tell me not to come?”

Katherine chuckled. “My Mom definitely got on the bad side of so many people.”

“She pissed me off with her sassy behavior.”

“She pisses me off ten times daily.”

Michelle chuckled, “So what’s the plan?”
