Julianna’s Pov:-
If looks could kill, I would be buried six feet underground. His eyes were fixed on me, rage-filled and ready to lung on me. I gulped hard, staring at him. My legs were rooted to the spot and My heart kept pounding against my ribcage.
You’re doomed, Julia! My subconscious muttered inside my head.
I know, I replied back while staring at him with fearful eyes.
I hear Penelope clearing her throat. “I-I have this… this work outside… see you later, Julia… let’s go mom… I need your help…”
They’re escaping, something I wish I could do. His fiery eyes were set on me, not moving to Penelope nor Flora, it made me feel like my whole body was on fire, I don’t know why his gaze is affecting me so much but it scares me. His aura is damn scary when he’s angry, it makes me want to run in the opposite direction.
I was all alone with the angry devil in the kitchen, he took a step ahead towards me and automatically my legs stepped back. My heart kept pounding in my chest as he kept stepping ahead and my legs moving back until my back hit the wall.
The air around us was thick, no matter how deep I inhaled, I felt like there’s not much air and I was breathless. His expression was dark and angry, his blue eyes narrowed at me and I sensed him irritated.
Apologise, Julia, my subconscious yelled inside my head.
You can get out of this situation if you apologise to him.
No, I will not! I replied stubbornly.
I was breathing vigorously as his body was so close to me, my heart kept beating as it would jump out of my chest if he moved any closer to me. I’m trying my best to calm my breathing and not let his intimidation work on me but I was miserably failing in it.
I pressed my back to the wall and looked all the way up at his face, I was barely reaching his chest. He still had that hard expression on his face which said he’s pissed.
“M-Mr. Vasiliev,” I swallowed hard while trying hard to not look at his eyes,
“Demon! Monster?” He repeated what I just said with a hint of amusement in his tone, “What more names do you have for me, Miss Mitchell,”
I glanced at him, is he mocking me?
“Oh, I ha-have many, Mr Va-Vasiliev,” I stuttered but put a smile at the corner of my lips. His eyes were locked with mine.
“Do you wanna know?” I asked with an innocent smile,
“Well, no, I’m not interested, Miss Mitchell… people call me with different names…” he replied moving a bit closer to me,
“Some call me Heartless killer… some call me, Ruthless don..” he continued while my heart kept pounding inside my chest and panic was pushing my confidence down.
“Bloodthirsty demon… the list goes on… I have many names, Miss Mitchell,” he said, looking straight into my eyes. My throat dried up hearing it, people call him all these! My mind had a hard time processing it.
He stared at my face with a small smirk playing on the corner of his lips, I flinched as his cold fingertip touched my cheek.
“You look pale… Did I scare you, Miss Mitchell,” He asked, smirking at me.
Bastard!
“Ab-Absolutely not,” I responded grabbing his hand and moving it away from my face,
“You should be…” he spoke and suddenly his demeanour changed, his features clouded and his aura grew colder while he glanced at his hand which touched my cheek earlier.
I stayed still and made no further attempt, I watched him turn around and storm out of the kitchen. As soon as he’s out of my sight, I exhaled a deep breath I was holding back, I noticed how shaken I was.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
His presence has this effect on me that I never experienced before, no matter how much I deny it, I’m damn scared of him. The fact that he’s a king of the underworld mafia and could do anything that he wanted scared the hell out of me.
I have to be careful with him, he’s not Flora nor Penelope to talk to me nicely. He’s a freaking Russian don, who could kill me in a second if I piss him off.

The whole day went by, I was busy in the kitchen. I didn’t see Nikolai after what happened earlier today. I still felt the fear and tried my best to shake it off but I couldn’t. I didn’t see him at lunch nor at dinner, which I’m thankful for since I hated being nervous around him.
I was walking back to my room, ah, correction, the room I was held captive in. The whole mansion was quiet, it was pretty late, Penelope and Flora both went to their rooms. I had to clean the kitchen before going back to bed as The Russian Don ordered me to.
The hallway was dark and silent, I was humming to one of my favourite songs and opened the door of my room. An hour later, I was sitting on my bed, staring into space while sighing. I miss Stella, I don’t know where she is? Or what she’s doing?
She doesn’t deserve to be held captive for something I did. I feel guilty.
Tears filled my eyes, I don’t know what I expected from Nikolai when I went to him to ask him to let her go, but I didn’t receive anything. I miss my family and her, I don’t know if I will ever see them again.
I let my tears roll down my cheek, I sobbed while remembering my parents and Stella. Half an hour passed, and I felt my throat dry and felt thirsty. I hiccupped like a kid while getting down from my bed in search of water.
I found a mug on the coffee table and walked towards it, but I found it empty. A sigh left my lips, I took the mug and walked towards the door. I yawed as I felt sleepy while walking through the hallway, heading towards the stairs.
I felt cold and the empty hallway was slightly scaring me. Those horror movies I saw began to rush to my mind, my legs began to move faster towards the kitchen. My heart was pounding inside my chest, no rational and logical thoughts could calm me.
Shut up, I know those are movies but come on, Ghosts are real, what if those souls who Nikolai killed are wandering in his mansion to take revenge on him, I replied to my subconscious which was yelling at me to calm down.
What if they are hiding in the darkness and waiting for someone,
Oh my god, what if they sense my hatred for Nikolai and choose me!
FUCK! FUCK!
I quickly began filling my mug and looking around.
God, please save me from these evil ghosts, please let them get to Nikolai, not me. That mother fucker deserves it. I’m an innocent soul who never hurt a fly till now, please punish that evil Nikolai for hurting me.
Please god!
I kept praying while filling the mug.
As I filled the mug, I hurriedly tried to get out of the kitchen but slipped and fell down. I hit my knee and was hissing in pain but suddenly I heard something.
GHOST! NO!
I DON’T WANT TO DIE
RUN! JULIA!
I quickly got up and was about to run from there but from the corner of my eyes, I saw something. My legs stopped, no matter how many times I told myself to run from there but my body wasn’t listening.
I walked towards the back window of the kitchen; my heart was pounding inside my chest. I slowly pushed the window and I saw a group of men standing far from the mansion, near the woods.
These two groups of men were standing opposite each other, four of them stood behind a tall man. From behind he looked like Nikolai, I tried to see him clearly and recognised him as indeed Nikolai.
In front of Nikolai stood a tall man, behind him were two men. Looked like they were talking about something, discussing something. What are they talking about? At this time? And far from the mansion?
I was curious.
I kept watching them as they continued to talk. Suddenly, Nikolai pulled a gun from his pants pockets and shot the tall man standing in front of him. A gasp left my lips, and my hands moved to my mouth.
I watched him shooting that man’s men in just the blink of an eye. Their bodies collapsed to the ground at a time and blood was scattered on his clothes. My eyes were widened, my hands covered my mouth in fear of making any sound that could grab his attention. My heart was pounding against my chest in pure fear.
He killed three men!
