Anisa (2)
Alfredo rushed into the room, looking worried. He glanced at Raven and Anisa, then said in a hushed tone, “I’ve got some news that could change everything.”
Raven and Anisa leaned in, eager to hear what he had to say.
“What’s going on?” Raven asked.
Alfredo focused on Anisa and said, “It’s about Martinez, Anisa’s uncle.”
Anisa’s eyes widened, and she leaned forward.
“What about him?”
Alfredo took a deep breath before explaining, “Martinez wasn’t killed in the line of duty like we thought.
He was undercover, investigating a big crime group led by Don Rizzo.”
Anisa gasped, surprised by the revelation. “You mean my father’s connection to Don Rizzo is deeper than we knew?”
Alfredo nodded seriously. “Yes, it seems that way. Martinez was gathering evidence against Don Rizzo and your father, Ramos Escobar. He had info that could bring down their criminal operation.”
Anisa furrowed her brows, trying to understand. “So, they killed my uncle to protect Don Rizzo and my father?”
Alfredo nodded again. “Exactly. They wanted to silence anyone who threatened them. Martinez was getting too close to exposing them.”
Anisa felt overwhelmed by the new information. “My father has been involved in a lot criminal stuff, and I had no clue?”
Alfredo reassured her, “We want your father and Don Rizzo to face the consequences for what they did, not just to Martinez, but for all their crimes.”
“Sorry, but who is Martinez?” Raven asked, curiosity written on her face.
“Well…. uhm… my uncle is Martinez and he was in the army many years ago before he died suddenly.
Everyone thought he died in duty but now hearing that he didn’t makes a whole lot of sense.
My uncle was a hero and my role model. He thought me a lot while growing up and told me never to be like my father, but then I didn’t know what he meant by that.
I guess now I do.” Anisa said, a sad expression on her face.
“Anisa, you didn’t know that your father was a bad man because he kept those things from you. Maybe he thought that if you knew, you would hate him or worse abandon him.” Raven said.
“No, my father had always been a selfish man from the moment I knew him. He never treated my mother right and kept cheating on her with that his young mistress who I so hate.” Anisa said.
“So Ramos killed his own brother to cover up for Don Rizzo’s crimes?” Raven asked.
“Yeah.” Alfredo said.
“According to my findings, Martinez found some reliable evidence that could lead to Don Rizzo’s arrest, so he went to discuss with your father Ramos and the next we heard was that your uncle died in the line of duty.” Alfredo said.
“So it was the fact that my uncle had an evidence that could permanently lock up Don Rizzo for good that got my uncle killed?” She said.
“That’s very likely.” Alfredo said.
“My….. father knew I loved my uncle…. he knew that I really loved my uncle and he took that away from me….” Anisa said, tears rolling down her face.
“So there’s a chance that your mother knows somethings as she had lived with your father longer than anyone. So there’s a chance that if she tried to leave him, your father would have your mother killed to cover up his tracks as well as Don Rizzo.” Raven said.
Anisa wiped away her tears and asked.
“But who the hell is this person called Don Rizzo?” Anisa asked.
Alfredo leaned forward, ready to explain.
“Don Rizzo is a dangerous guy. He’s like a big boss in the world of crime. He does all sorts of bad things, like illegal deals, drugs, and more. He’s got a lot of power and connections.”
“And now he’s into politics.” Raven said.
Anisa frowned, anger building inside her.
“So, my father was working with this Don Rizzo guy on some really bad stuff?”
Alfredo nodded sadly. “It seems that way. They were hiding their bad deeds, and your uncle was getting too close to exposing them.”
Raven added, “Anisa, we’re here to make sure they don’t get away with any of it. We want to bring them down, no matter what.”
Anisa clenched her fists, determination in her eyes. “I want justice for my uncle, and I want to stop my father from doing more harm.”
Alfredo nodded, impressed by her strength. “We’re with you, Anisa. We’ll do whatever it takes to make things right.”
“And your mother isn’t safe with your father and I’m sure she knows that but she won’t leave because of you.” Raven said.
“Then we would have to make her leave my father.” Anisa said.
“How?” Raven asked.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“My mother hates my father, but she always had a plan to one day leave him and quietly disappear.
“So I think all we have to do now is convince her to leave my father and disappear quietly with me.” Anisa said.
Raven glanced at the clock. “We need to move fast. Anisa, we should find a way to contact your mother discreetly. She might have important information too.”
Anisa nodded, the weight of the situation sinking in. “I hope she’s safe, and I hope she’s willing to help.”
Alfredo assured her, “We’ll figure it out. We have a plan to keep you safe and expose the truth.”
“But how do we contact my mother without my father knowing? My father always has guards following my mother.” she asked.
“Really…. so it means your mother knows a lot of things we could use to take down Ramos your father once and for all as well as his political allies Don Rizzo.” Raven said.
“You mean political ally.” Anisa corrected Raven.
“Nope, political allies.” Raven said.
Anisa curious about Raven’s statement asked.
“But you said my father is working with Don Rizzo. So who are the other political allies you are talking about?” she asked.
Raven leaned in and replied, “Well, in the world of politics, people often form alliances and partnerships. Your father may have other political friends who are connected to Don Rizzo indirectly.”
Anisa’s eyes widened as she began to grasp the complexity of the situation. “So, my father’s political career might be linked to even more shady people?”
Alfredo nodded, adding,
“Exactly, Anisa. We need to uncover these connections and expose the whole network.”
Raven continued, “But first, let’s focus on getting in touch with your mother. We’ll need her help to convince her.”
Anisa nodded, determination in her eyes.
“I’ll find a way to reach out to her discreetly. She’ll know what to do.”
Raven smiled at Anisa’s resolve. “Good. We’re in this together, and we’ll support you every step of the way.”
“Do you know your mother’s number very well?” Alfredo asked.
“Yeah…” Anisa said.
