The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 203

Chapter 203

Wesley saw that Meredith was so heartless and didn't want to help him, so he immediately changed his

face. "Meredith, what do you think you are? Do you really think Derek likes you? You're hurting me now

and think you won't be abandoned one day. I will teach you a lesson in the future..."

Before Wesley could say the following words, he was strangled by Derek, who had a fierce look on his

face.

He didn't plan for this bastard to say those words to Meredith.

He took the phone back and kicked Wesley, who was lying on the ground. Derek frowned and looked at

the phone. "Meredith, it was an accident."

The man's voice came from the receiver, calming Meredith's anger at Wesley's threat.

"You... Attacked the Masons?"

Meredith asked softly. Ever since she was released from prison, she had been trying to make the

Masons pay the price. She didn't expect that she would eventually depend on Derek.

"Yes, the people at the sanatorium were sent by the Masons. I can't let them hurt you anymore." Derek

said, "Do you have mercy?"

Derek felt that Meredith attached great importance to the family, and from her meticulous care for her

mother, she was very attached to her family.

So, Derek didn't want to make any decisions about what to do with Wesley.

"No, I want them to pay the price."

Meredith held her cell phone and burst into tears.

How could she have mercy for them?

All her feelings for the Masons and her father had been worn away in three years. Now that they were

unlucky, how could she be unhappy?

However, waves of grievances still emerged from the bottom of her heart.

She had thought countless times about what she had done wrong to make her father hate her so much

and treat her so cruelly. In Wesley's heart, she might not even be as important as a relative of Clara.

But now, in the face of Wesley's plea for mercy, her heart relieved, but once unwillingness was

temporarily difficult to erase, making her unable to stop tears.

"Meredith?" Derek listened to the messy breathing in the receiver and was a little worried. He called her

name.

"Yeah, I'm fine. He, just do whatever you want. He and I, and the Masons, have nothing to do with each

other anymore."

After Derek heard her words, he frowned. Meredith's voice was muffled as if she was crying. Perhaps,

she cared about her father but she pretended not.

"Damian, he's all yours. I'll go out for a while."

Derek glanced at Wesley, who was sitting on the ground and was powerless to resist. Now he cared

more about Meredith than this man.

The car stopped at the entrance of the hospital after a whiff of speed.

Derek didn't stop at all and hurried upstairs. As expected, Meredith was taking care of Amelia in the

ward.

However, she was sitting by the bed, motionless, with her head down and her slender shoulders

twitching, looking extremely lovable.

Derek suddenly felt a pain in his chest. Maybe he shouldn't have let Meredith know about this and dealt

with Wesley directly.

"Meredith, are you okay?" Derek stepped forward and took the sobbing woman into his arms.

Meredith did not expect Derek to come. She widened her red and swollen eyes, exposed them to him,

and quickly lowered her head.

"I'm fine."

After all, Meredith didn't want to expose all her weaknesses.

She had never told anyone in detail what the Masons had done.

"Don't be afraid. I'm here. I won't let him hurt you again."

Derek looked at Meredith's bravado and felt helpless and in love. He touched her long hair and

comforted her.

Meredith listened to Derek's words. His arms were so warm, so generous, as if she would never be

hurt by the outside world inside. Suddenly, her emotions could not be controlled, and the suppressed

cry broke out again.

"Why? They did that to me. I really don't understand. I'm his daughter, too. Why should I sacrifice so NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

much for Ava's mistakes..."

"I really can't figure it out. Has he never thought of me as his daughter in his heart? Doesn't even my

mother's company for so many years mean nothing?"

Meredith couldn't help but say what she was thinking. Her voice was even hoarse, but she didn't notice

it at all. She was just venting her pain.

Derek could not help but increase the strength in his hand, in order to ease her pain. He only now knew

what Meredith was crying for. All these years, she had been living too hard, and the feeling of being

completely denied and abandoned by her family was something he did not dare to imagine.

"In the future, no one can bully you anymore. Don't cry."

Derek's words, like magic, made Meredith feel much less depressed. Only then did she realize that her

tears had already soaked the man's shirt, so she quickly stepped back a little.

"Um... I see."

Derek didn't care about her behavior and held her in his arms until Meredith calmed down a little. "That

man, I haven't dealt with him yet, and Ava and Clara, they're all at your disposal."

After listening, Meredith nodded. "I don't want to see them again. As for the rest... I want Ava to be

punished."

In the end, Meredith did not want to use the power of Derek to do anything illegal, but Ava was the

culprit, she had to pay the price, and those who committed perjury, could not be spared.

"Okay, do as you say." Derek nodded, agreeing with Meredith in his heart.

If it happened to an ordinary person, the person might vent the anger and do a lot of excessive things,

but Meredith was able to remain rational. She was still kind and soft-hearted after all.

"I'll find a lawyer and have them file a new lawsuit, so you don't have to show up. You have to take care

of auntie, and you're not fit for it. You can't go back and forth because of our child."

Meredith nodded. Although it was a pity that she couldn't see Ava being punished with her own eyes,

she was in a special situation and could only do so. Besides, compared to revenge, she wanted to

seize what she still had and cherish every minute she spent with her mother.

"Thank you for this." After a long time, Meredith finally opened her mouth. She really thanked Derek. If

it wasn't him, she wouldn't have known when she could have done this with her strength alone.

Derek shook his head. Meredith looked at the little black stubble on the man's chin and felt more and

more moved. These days, Derek was busy with her things. It was impossible not to be touched.

So, a bold idea came to mind. Meredith stood on tiptoe and pulled out a strand of Derek's hair. "Borrow

this for a while."
