Chapter 33
Emmett
“Good evening, how may I help you?” The hotel staff asked.
“Hello, we need two rooms with two queen beds in each,” I said, handing her my credit card.
“Okay, let me just check my availability…” She said, clicking away on her keyboard.
I could hear Kelly yawning behind me. Thorin was on high alert, ready to kill anyone who even dared to look in his direction. And Jonas, well, he was just getting on my very last nerve. I would have rather taken a pup on this journey than him.
“Okay, it looks like I only have two rooms remaining. One has two queen beds and another has a single king.” She said, making a wincing face as if she were truly sorry.
It was past three in the morning. We had been cramped in a tiny plane for over fourteen hours today with only one rest stop on the way. We had to land in a field upon our arrival and walk the ten miles to get here because it was near a human city and we couldn’t risk being seen shifting. And she dares to pretend as if she actually cares about the matter.
“You don’t have anything else with two beds?” I asked, more like pleaded.
“We’ll take them.” Kelly interjected, rubbing her eyes.
“Alright, you will be in rooms three-o-one and three-o-two. Three-o-one has the king.” She said, handing us our room keys.
“Thanks.” I grunted, taking them from her.
We made our way to the elevators and rode it in silence. There was one big unspoken question that needed to be addressed still.
“So who is sleeping with who?” Jonas bluntly asked.
“Figure it out boys.” Kelly said, snatching the keycard for the king bed from me. “One of you with me.” She said as she entered the room, flipping the lock so the door would stay open for whoever was about to follow.
“Flip for it?” Jonas asked.
“Nyet,” Thorin said sternly, swiping the other card from me and grabbing Jonas by his shirt collar. “I trust you will keep princess honorable?” He said as he practically shoved Jonas into the other room.
“Of course.” I nodded.
“The walls are thin, Comrad,” he warned.
“There won’t be any issues,” I reiterated.
He grunted in response, letting his door slam shut behind him. Well, tonight just got a lot better. I made my way inside our room, I could hear the water running.
“It’s Emmett, can I come in?” I linked Kelly from outside the bathroom door.
“Its unlocked.” She linked back.
“Hey-” I said, my words running dry when I saw Kelly’s naked silhouette through the tempered glass shower door.
“I’m surprised you three figured out the sleeping aggangments so quickly.” She said as she washed her hair, her back to me.
“Thorin made that decision. I dont think he trusts Jonas around you.” I said.
“Hm.” She chuckled. “But he trusts the ‘evil plant doctor’ apparently.”
“Oh no, not at all. He warned me that the walls are thin.” I laughed dryly.
“Hand me my towel?” She asked, turning off the water.
I nodded and handed it to her over the top of the shower door, trying not to look at her perfect figure while doing so.
“Thanks.” She said, wrapping it around herself and stepping out.
She squeezed her hair out into the sink a few times, trying to get the excess water out. That gave me an idea, a way to spend more one on one time with Kelly while also not being murdered by the terrifying Russian next door. I grabbed the blowdryer provided by the hotel and plugged it in, turning it on high at high heat. Kelly had a soft blush creeping up on her as I began drying her hair, watching her through the mirror we were both facing. Her hair was silky soft, giving my fingers no trouble as I gently combed through her golden locks.
“There, all dry.” I said, setting down the dryer when her hair was warmed and fluffy again.
“So considerate.” She smiled. “We should really get some sleep though.”
“Go ahead, I’m just going to rinse off and I’ll be in there.”
“Dont take too long.” She winked before surrying out of the bathroom.
I stripped down and rinsed off, quickly rubbing one out so I hopefully wouldn’t wake up with morning wood next to Kelly. I didnt like my odds though. I dried off and dressed, throwing on my boxers. When I came back out, Kelly was already fast asleep on her stomach under the covers, lightly snoring in the middle of the bed. I laughed to myself before turning off the lights and carefully sliding into the bed where I could without waking Kelly.
When I woke up the next morning, I felt hot, like, really hot. I was about to kick off the covers when I realized it wasn’t the blankets making me hot, but Kelly. She was wrapped around me like a vice, still fast asleep. Once I knew the source of my discomfort, I started to relax, soaking up every minute I could with her. Especially since I noticed her back was bare, her chest pressed against mine. Although being naked was not something any werewolf batted an eye at, I felt like a teen again with the girl who was sleeping on top of me.All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Fresh coffee!!” Jonas yelled from outside our door, pounding on it like an animal. Kelly g*****d and began to stir awake, pulling away from me, much to my disappointment. “Rise and shine!” He yelled, followed by the sound of a slap and Russian expletives.
“Good morning beautiful.” I said, turning on my side to look at her.
“Good morning.” She smiled sleepily.
“Sleep okay?”
“Wonderfully. You’re an excellent pillow.” She smirked.
“And you are an excellent blanket.” I smirked back.
“What time is it?” Kelly yawned, stretching out under the covers.
“Just past eight.” I said, looking at my phone. My face fell when I saw I had four missed calls from King Carson.
“What is it?” Kelly asked, her face falling. “It’s my father, isnt it?”
“You should probably check your phone,” I said, sitting up in bed.
“Hard pass.” She said, getting up and getting dressed back into yesterday’s clothes. “Nothing he says will change my mind. Now let’s get moving before Thorin kills Jonas.”
“Can we wait until after he kills him?”
“Get dressed.” She said, playfully tossing my clothes at me.

Jonas
“Here you are, my lady,” I said, handing Kelly a steaming cup of coffee.
“Thanks.” She smiled, taking a small sip from it.
“Did I get it right?” I asked.
“Hmm…almost, you might need to try again.” Kelly joked, nudging me gently.
“We should get moving.” Thorin said, from right behind me, making me jump. Goddess he was quiet.
“Lead the way.” Kelly nodded, following Thorin’s lead.
Emmett trailed behind them, a smug look on his face all morning. I cant even blame him for it either. If I got to room up with Kelly I would probably have that same look. Instead, I got an angry Russian who nearly killed me in the middle of the night. I guess I should have warned him that I sometimes sleep walk. It might have been less awkward when I climbed into bed with him. Or so he says. It was hard to understand him when he started speaking Russian while his knee was pressing into my head, pinning me to the floor.
“We should arrive in Brazil by nightfall,” Thorin said as we began to load into the plane. “We make one stop along way.”
Kelly sat up front with Thorin this time. Which means I was graced with Emmett’s wonderful presence. I swear that guy hated me. I didn’t mind the close quarters yesterday when I was next to Kelly, but now I was seriously thinking of riding on one of the wings like Thorin threatened last night.
“Too late for a bathroom break?” I said as we began taking off, trying to cut some of the tension in the back seat. I think I only made it worse. Hopefully, tensions will ease once we arrive in Brazil.
