Chapter 236
Chapter 236
In the black car, it was strangely quiet.
Scarlett couldn’t help but secretly look at Travis.
Driving with one hand, his slender fingers deftly adjusting the steering wheel, he navigated the car.
There was no expression on his handsome face, and he didn’t ask who that person just now was
He didn’t seem to be interested in her private matters. He just needed to ensure that her heart stayed
by his side.
Just as Scarlett was guessing what he was thinking. Travis suddenly asked her. “Is that man
Sebastian?”
Scarlett softly humed and did not say anything else.
“Why do you have so many lovers?” Travis asked.
Scarlett:
What did he mean?
Scarlett was a little angry and asked, “Are you very interested in my past?”
Travis seemed to think carefully for a moment before replying coldly, “No…”
Then why was he asking?
Scarlett ground her teeth and turned to look out of the window.
The car quickly returned to the villa. Scarlett got out of the car and went straight to the bedroom.
Before closing the door. Travis voice came from behind. “Don’t lock the door.”
Just as Scarlett was about to tell him to stop spooking her in the middle of the night, Travis closed the
door with a bang. followed by the sound of the door being locked.
Scarlett:
She was anxious to see Susan, who must have endured much pain and suffering to become the boss
of the nightclub after her death and Cosmo’s betrayal.
After tossing and turning all night. Scarlett only managed to get a little sleep in the early morning. When
she finally opened her eyes, it was already noon.
She narrowed her eyes and saw a maid in a work uniform smiling gently at her.
“Young Madam, you’re awake?”
Scarlett frowned What Young Madam?
The maid walked in and bent down to ask her. “What would you like to eat for lunch?”
Scarlett came back to her senses and asked, “Are you a nanny that Travis hired?”
The maid shook her head. “We work in the Weber family. Mr. Weber knew that Young Master Travis
had returned, so he transferred us to work here.”
Young Master’
Scarlett frowned even more deeply. Wasn’t Travis a designer? How did he become a Young Master
now?
The maid did not explain much and smiled at her. “Then Young Madam, how about I prepare some
western food for you?”
Scarlett nodded lightly. “Thank you.”
The maid nodded and turned to leave
Scarlett lifted the quilt, washed up, changed her clothes, then sought to question Travis about it.
He left early in the morning, so Scarlett had no choice but to give up since he was no longer in the
villa.
Anyway, whether Travis was a designer or a young master, it had nothing to do with her.
She took her mobile phone and called a car, going straight to the nightclub.
The Mercedes-Benz that Travis had given her was still parked in the parking lot of the nightclub.
Seeing that the nightclub staff had yet to go to work, Scarlett sat back in the Mercedes-Benz and
waited.
At approximately seven o’clock in the evening, Scarlett noticed the neon lights illuminated and, without
hesitation, opened the elevator door.
As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she noticed a group of security guards shoving a man, with
all eyes in the vicinity
fixed on him.
Even though the man had his back to Scarlett, she recognized he was Cosmo instantly!
At this moment, Cosmo was kneeling on the ground, shouting at the people in the room.
“Susan, I know I was wrong. Please forgive me, okay?”
The security guard at the side scolded, “Susan told you to get out. Don’t force us to beat you!”
“Susan… Susan, my mother has cancer, and I was let go from my job. I also need funds to purchase
formula for my baby. Considering we’ve been together for so many years, could you please show some
compassion and give me a hand?”
“If you are really a beggar, it doesn’t matter if I give you some money and send you away, but you are
not…”
A beautiful voice slowly came, with some tiredness, indifference, and ruthlessness.
“You are a f*cking scum!”
“Susan!”
“Shut his mouth and make him disappear from my sight!”
When the security guards heard the order, they immediately carried Cosmo and dragged him into the
elevator.
“Tsk. what a pain in the ass!”
Scarlett looked toward the source of the voice and saw a familiar figure leaning against the bar
counter.
The figure had a graceful silhouette, her long, curly hair cascading down to her waist. She held a
slender cigarette between her delicate white fingers, while her other hand toyed with the goblet.
She tilted her head slightly and stared at the red wine in the goblet, like a goddess, overlooking the
other world. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
Under the dim light, her entire being appeared incredibly dreamlike.
When Scarlett saw Susan like this, her nose ached and her eyes reddened.
She stood there in a daze and called out softly.
“Susan!”
The noise in the club should have been enough to drown out this weak volume, yet it still managed to
reach Susan’s most
sensitive nerves.
Susan pushed back the hair from her chest and slowly turned her head to look out the elevator. There,
she saw a woman, tears streaming down her face, staring at her.
