Chapter 32 Chapter 32. Nelly’s POV. ARS202

Two weeks later.

| stood by the window, the cool night air blowing against my face. It had been exactly two weeks since | had last seen Alpha Kex. Ever since the incident with Emily, | had not seen him. | had hoped that he would forgive me and things would go back to normal, but as the days passed, | began to lose hope.

It was difficult to shake the feeling that | had ruined everything. | took a deep breath, trying to clear my head. | needed to focus on the present, not dwell on the past.

| hadn't realized how much | had grown to care for Alpha Kex. | missed him, his company, his presence, even his stern demeanor. | thought we were becoming friends, that | was getting closer to him, but now | know that was a lie.

| was just deceiving myself. Alpha Kex was not the kind of man who could ever be friends with someone like me. He was a ruthless Alpha, one who would never let his guard down. | felt like a fool for thinking otherwise.

Alone tear escaped my eye, and | quickly wiped it away, not wanting anyone to see my weakness. Just then, the door to my room opened, and | knew who it was without turning around.

Aisha had been pleading with me to leave my room, to join her for dinner or go for a walk, but | had refused. | would rather not face the world, | just wanted to be alone.

| heard a throat clearing, and | knew | had been wrong. It wasn’t Aisha at the door. | turned around slowly and saw Alpha Kex standing there, his expression unreadable. My heart sank, and | swallowed the lump in my throat.

“Good evening, Alpha,” | said, bowing my head in respect. But his face remained impassive, his expression impossible to read. | didn’t know what to expect from him.

“Pack your things,” he said, his voice cold and commanding. “We leave first thing in the morning.” With that, he slammed the door behind him, and | let out a breath | didn’t know I'd been holding.

| had no idea what was in store for me, what lay ahead. All | knew was that my world had been turned upside down, and | would never be the same again.

| took out my bag and began to fill it with my belongings. But | had no idea where we were going, what the weather would be like, or what | would need. | was at a loss.

| began to fold my clothes, packing them carefully into the bag. If only things had turned out differently with Astel, | wouldn't be in this situation. | wouldn’t be facing an uncertain future, wondering what lay ahead. My mind was spinning, my thoughts racing.

The door creaked open, and | heard the familiar voice of Aisha. “See who made your delicious di...” she said, her voice cheerful and light. But her words were cut short when she took in the scene before her.

| turned to see a look of shock on her face, and | gave her a weak smile that didn’t reach my eyes. | knew | couldn’t hide the truth from her, no matter how much | wanted to. She would know something was wrong.

The tray of food clattered to the floor as she rushed to my side, her eyes full of concern. “What's going on?” she asked, her voice trembling.

| knew | had to tell her the truth, no matter how painful it would be. “Alpha Kex asked me to pack my things,” | said, my voice barely above a whisper. “We are leaving first thing tomorrow morning.”

Aisha’s face fell, her eyes filling with tears. “But why?” she asked, her voice breaking. I didn’t have an answer for her. Because | am also at a loss.

“Did you guys fight?” she asked, her eyes wide with worry.

| shook my head, unable to find my voice.

“No?” she asked, her voice full of disbelief. “You can’t just say ‘no’, Nelly,” she pleaded. “He’s taking you away, and | don’t even know where.”

Her voice grew angry, her eyes flashing. “| will be fine,” | said, my voice/quivering. “Oh, spare me that shit! We both know you can never be fine with that monster.”

| knew she was scared, and | couldn’t blame her. But | didn’t want her to get in trouble. “Aisha, lower your voice,” | said, trying to keep my voice steady. But she rolled her eyes.

“I'm coming with you, and that’s final,” she said, her voice determined. “You can’t stop me.”
