The police quickly took control of the simation, and before long, the bar was back to normal Thanks to a bunch of witnesses and me videos, Yasmine and Lucy only needed to make a statement and sort out a bit of compensation with the bar owner before they could leave As they stepped out of the police station, they saw Chuck's car park right out front. Spotting them, Chuck rolled down the window and waved happily. "Hey ladies, hop in!"
Yasmine caught a glimpse of Yonas in the back seat through the lowered window. She hesitated, but before she could think too much about it, Lucy was already tugging on her hand, leading her toward the car.
"This is perfect! I was worried about getting a ride this late," Lucy exclaimed as she dove into the passenger seat, leaving Yasmine the back one.
Yasmine opened the door and felt her heart race at the sight of Yonas' long legs clad in his expensive, neatly pressed suit pants.
Once inside, the vibe was different from her last ride with Yonas. Chuck had upbeat music playing, and Lucy was dancing along to the rhythm. Everything felt a lot lighter
this time.
Yasmine turned to Yonas and said, "Thanks for calling the cops today, Mr. Russell."
Yonas glanced at her, calm with a hint of amusement in his eyes. "I thought you might be upset I didn't jump in to help.
Yasmine knew when someone like Yonas said he wanted to be friends, it was just talk. Given the situation today, if he stepped in to help her, it would definitely hurt his reputation. And once word got out, it would create quite a buzz in the city. Seeing the understanding in her eyes, Yonas felt a slight twinge of disappointment. He wasn't worried about making headlines; he just wanted to know if she still had that same spirit as before.
Chuck glanced at the rearview mirror and suggested, "Guys, since we've all had some excitement tonight, are you hungry? I've got a grill in my trunk. Let's grab some food and hit the beach for a late-night snack."

Tm in! Count me in!" Lucy cheered, practically bouncing in her seat at the thought of some good barbecue. Chuck's cooking was something she hadn't had in ages.
Yonas nodded in agreement. "Sounds good."
That left Yasmine. Normally, she didn't stay out late, but after the chaos in the bar, she was sleepless now, so she nodded in agreement.
It was summer, and the cool ocean breeze felt refreshing. The four of them got out of the car and found a nice spot on the beach to set up the grill.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
Lucy rummaged through Chuck's trunk until she found a box of sparklers. She burst with excitement as she twirled them around on the beach while Chuck focused on grilling. Only Yasmine and Yonas sat quietly off to the side with not much to do. Yasmine curled her legs up on the sand, watching Lucy play with the sparklers. A smile tugged at her lips. It had been a long time since she'd enjoyed such simple yet beautiful
moments.
The ocean breeze played with her hair, and a few strands drifted a little too close for comfort. Just when she was about to tuck them behind her ear, a large hand moved in and did it for her.
Yonas pulled out a hair tie from somewhere and gently gathered her hair back, tying it up carefully. His warm hand occasionally brushed against her neck, making her ears. flush bright red in an instant.
