Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 108

Scott’s face was right in front of her. She had never seen his face this up close before. Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Any closer, and she would have accidentally kissed him.

Naomi was stunned for a while looking into his deep-set eyelids. She blinked and looked at their posture, realizing that she had been sleeping on his shoulder.

She immediately said, “I’m so sorry.”

Then, she leaned back against the window, putting distance between them. She looked out of the window.

She was almost home. After a turn, she would reach her neighborhood.

Recalling the sound she heard a moment ago, she reached for her bag and fished for her phone. She turned on the screen and saw the message.

[Charles: Have you reached home?]

Naomi looked at the time and realized it was only 18 minutes away before the clock struck midnight. She never got home this late before.

Charles was worried.

She quickly replied.

[Naomi: I’m in the neighborhood.]

Usually, when Naomi said that she would send him a message, Charles would not send a check in on her again. However, it was too late in the night, and he was worried.

Seeing her reply, Charles was relieved. He replied, [Okay, then. Have a good rest. See you tomorrow.]

When Naomi was replying to Charles’ message, the car slowly drove into the neighborhood. Naomi read Charles’ reply before putting her phone back into her bag.

When the car came to a halt, Naomi said to Scott, “Text me once you book the flight tickets.”

Her tone was no longer gentle. It sounded a little distant, even.

“Mh,” replied Scott emotionlessly.

Naomi looked at his expression slowly darkening. His expressions were harder to read. She had no idea what was on his mind.

She opened the car door and got out of the car.

The car headlights shone ahead. Naomi had her bag hanging on one shoulder. She walked into the dark staircase and vanished from his sight.

Scott said, “Let’s go.”

“Okay.” The chauffeur made a turn and drove the car out of the neighborhood.

Scott leaned back against the chair and closed his eyes.

Charles…

Naomi’s hand had been recovering well. Some of her scabs were peeling off, but she still could not work. She was afraid that her barely recovered hand would get hurt once more, so Quentin did not arrange much work for her.

When Chandler was around, Quentin got her to accompany him around Horizon City. After Chandler left, he got her to take a good rest and slowly pack up to head over to Herland with everyone three days later.

However, Scott told her that they would be heading over earlier. She did not know if he told Chandler or Quentin about this.

She wondered if Quentin knew about it, so she called Quentin after breakfast to ask him about it.

“He didn’t tell me, and neither did Master Chandler. The person in charge of this even didn’t tell me either. Did something happen?”

Quentin’s first thought was the same as Naomi’s. The moment they heard that she had to go earlier, they thought that something had happened.

“No. He said he was going to take me to see a few friends.”

Quentin smiled.

Naomi and Scott were husband and wife. With his wide connections, it was only normal that he took her along to meet other friends.

Quentin said with a smile, “It’s fine. Go. I can handle it here in the museum. Don’t worry.”

Naomi got even more baffled when she heard how Quentin said that it was not a big deal, or barely a matter to be concerned about at all.
