The family doctor arrived, examined Linda, and said, "Ms. Felix's immune system is weak, and she hasn't been getting proper rest. The recent weather changes have caused her fever.
"After numerous major surgeries, her immune system hasn't fully recovered, which led to her current condition.
"I'll administer some injections for her fever, and she should be better by this afternoon. Don't worry too much, Mr. Lynch. It's nothing serious."
Samson nodded.
"Alright. Thank you for your help."
Linda's right arm was already swollen, so the injections would need to be administered to her left arm.
She rested against the bed as Samson updated her on what happened after they left the day before.
"Thankfully, what happened yesterday helped Ms. Hale. Otherwise, she would have had to look after someone else's child."
"You're still concerned about others even when you're already in this state?" Samson was exasperated. "Do you know how frantic I was when I couldn't find you yesterday?"
Linda told him, "Arden is a very obsessive person. He wouldn't harm me, so you don't need to worry. Look. I'm fine and right here with you."
"Are you really fine? When you fainted at the hotel yesterday, I was on the edge of a heart attack. If something had happened to you, I wouldn't be able to face your parents."
"You always say these things. I'm fine now, aren't I?"
At that moment, Zoey knocked on the door.
"Mr. Lynch, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Hunter are here. They'd like to see Ms. Felix."
"Alright, got it."
Samson looked at Linda, who was sick in bed. "You'll decide if you want to see them."
"I'm in no condition to meet anyone. Please help me host them."
Linda's feeling utterly drained, not wanting to see anybody.
"Alright. Rest well and try to recover quickly. Lexi has been asking for you all day." "Okay."
On the first floor, Chloe and Lina were hosting William and Luke.
Samson walked down the stairs. "Mr. Wilson, Mr. Hunter, I apologize. Linda has been running a fever since she got back yesterday, and she still hasn't recovered. She is simply too weak to see anyone right now.
"If you have any questions, please let me know, and I'll relay them to her once she feels better."
"Is Linda alright?" Chloe asked.
No one was allowed to go to the second floor except for the family doctor.
"She's fine. It's just that her body resistance is low due to the many surgeries she has had, combined with her lack of rest and high-stress levels," Samson explained, patting her head.
"Linda said she's fine, so you didn't need to rush around. You should get some rest. What am I supposed to tell your sister if she wakes up and you pass out?"
Chloe nodded. "I'll go rest now."
Lina knew that Samson had something to discuss with the men, so she brought Lexi to the room upstairs.
"Mr. Wilson, Mr. Hunter, perhaps you should head back for now."This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
"Is she the one who refused to see us, or are you preventing her from meeting us?" William asked, clearly skeptical of Samson's explanation.
"I don't see why I should lie to you."
"And if I insist on seeing her today?" "That would be quite rude."
