Chapter 59
Chapter 59
The car quickly arrived at Pinecrest Manor.
As soon as the car stopped, Celeste didn’t hesitate to jump out and storm off, slamming the door
behind her.
Liam looked at the woman with his brow furrowed
Owen caught on and whispered, “Mr. Reed, you’re the one who stopped Ms. Denton’s lawyer’s letter
Why don’t you just tell your wife?”
Liam, anhoyed, responded, “Tell her? Didn’t you see her attitude? Would she even listen to me?”
Owen was speechless, thinking when it comes to talking tone and attitude, his boss himself isn’t
exactly easy to deal with either.
He used to think only women were two-faced, but now he realized his boss was the same.
He once overheard his boss calling his wife to entertain guests, claiming it was to teach her a lesson,
but then secretly went to back her up, using the excuse of buying her dessert.
“By the way,” Liam remembered something just before getting out of the car, “find out what she was
doing at the hospital on the day of the rear-end collision on the elevated road.”
“Alright”
When Liam returned to the villa, the nanny immediately presented him with clothes and shoes.
“Where is she?” Liam asked.
The nanny
answered, “Madam went straight upstairs when she came back, not saying a word.”
Liam glanced upstairs, elegantly untied his tie, and casually said, “Prepare some delicious food, tidy up
the room, and call her down.”
The nanny hesitated, “Is Madam coming back to live here?”
Lram glared at her, “This is her home, isn’t it? Shouldn’t she come back to live here?”
The nanny immediately shook her head, “Sir, I didn’t mean that…”
Liam waved his hand, “Hurry up and clean, make a few more dishes.”
An hour later. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Liam looked at the table full of delicacies and then glanced upstairs.
The nanny went up to call her, but she didn’t come down for a long time. What was this woman
thinking?
Finally, there was some movement upstairs, and Liam sat up straight.
The nanny’s voice came from downstairs, “Sir, Madam said she’s on a diet and won’t eat.”
Liam frowned, “Diet? Don’t believe her lies! Tell her to come down!”
The nanny ran upstairs again and soon came back down, stammering, “Sir, Madam, Madam said…”
Liam, impatient, asked, “What did she say?”
The nanny nervously relayed Celeste’s words, “Madam said that looking at your face, she can’t eat…”
Liam’s eye twitched.
“Alright, I don’t care!”
Worried about Trisha’s situation, Celeste returned to her room and immediately called Trisha.
Trisha’s condition had improved a lot, and she asked about Celeste’s current situation over the phone.
Celeste acted nonchalant, “I’m fine. Liam just doesn’t want the news of our marriage crisis to spread
and affect his competition for the inheritance, so he asked me to come back and play along”
“Is that all?” Trisha was somewhat incredulous, “Liam is so cunning and vicious, are you sure he
doesn’t have any other motives?* Celeste propped her chin and lay on the bed, “Who cares? He
promised me five million dollars after the divorce, and the agreement is signed. I’ll just bear with it.”
“Five million dollars?” Trisha was surprised, “Won’t you become a rich woman after your divorce? Is
Liam willing to part with that much?” Celeste fantasized about her life with five million dollars, squinting
her eyes, “He’s getting off cheap with five million. With Liam’s temper, who else could put up with him
besides me?”
Trisha agreed, “If he wasn’t rich, who would marry him? He has terrible character!”
