Chapter 319
Chapter 319
A little agitated, I didn't want to talk to Aaron. Instead, I looked at Irvin and said, "Let's bring these home
to eat."
Irvin nodded. Still ignoring Aaron, I stood up and wanted to leave, but Aaron stopped me. He was
furious, "What's wrong with you, Arianna? Do you know how much effort we put into finding you?
Someone even-"
"Mr. Reid," Irvin intervened. "If you love her, I think it's best for you to respect her boundaries. She has
suffered far more than you think."
Then, he asked the attendant to wrap up the food, and he held my hand, wanting to send me back to
the car first. I was still shaken from the encounter with Valerie and Andrea, and Aaron's badgering
definitely didn't help to improve my mood.
Seeing the state I was in, Irvin glanced coldly at Aaron who was trailing behind us, and he said, "You
can continue to harass her if you want her to die."
Aaron wasn't listening at all. He grabbed my hand, pulling me to a halt, and asked, "Didn't you already
cure it? Why are you still acting up?"
Then, he looked at Irvin and asked in a cold voice, "What's the matter? I thought she hasn't shown any
symptoms of it since a long time ago!"
Irvin was slightly taken aback. He eyed me with suspicion and asked, "You used to be like this?"
I nodded and turned to Aaron, "I don't want to say anything now. Can you just let me go home first?
Please."
My feelings were getting out of hand without the medicine.
Aaron nodded and glared at Irvin with a murderous look. Irvin snorted, "Don't look at me like that. If you
want to know what happened, you can ask Hendrix."
Then, he helped me into the car and got into the car himself before igniting the engine, leaving Aaron
behind.
Irvin was a speeder. So, it didn't take long for us to arrive home. After taking the medicine, I waited for
a while until I had a little more control over my emotions before looking at him and asked, "Did you get
hold of those two people?"
He was surprised at my sudden question, only nodding after a while, "Someone is keeping an eye on
them."
"I want to see them," I said. I figured that if I couldn't bring down the Moore family in a short time,
getting revenge on Andrea would be just as enough.
Irvin hesitated only for a moment, and he finally nodded, "Okay."
Since I had only taken the medicine, I wasn't worried that I wouldn't be able to control my emotions for
the rest of the night. So, I decided to go straight to the suburbs with Irvin that night.
Looking at the same warehouse that I would never forget for the rest of my life, I reminded myself over
and over again that I shouldn't break down.
"If you can't do it, we can always come back another day," Irvin said. He was looking at me worriedly.
I shook my head and took a deep breath, "I'm fine. Let's go in."
I could finally see the insides of the warehouse clearly when the lights in it were switched on. It wasn't
exactly a big warehouse, and there was a lot of junk.
The ground had been cleaned up. The bloodstain and pieces of broken mirror from that night were
nowhere in sight.
Irvin asked the bodyguards to carry a chair over for me to sit down and then bring the two criminals into
the warehouse.
The two men wore a cap to cover up their faces on that night. So, I couldn't see what they looked like
but only remembered the outline of their faces.
At this moment, they were brought over by Irvin's men. I could finally see their faces clearly this time.
They did not look like terrible people at all, and both looked very honest and sincere. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
But these were the people who tied me up with two ropes so tight that they killed my child.
"Miss Reid, we didn't want to do it to you. We were just doing it for the money! We-"
The two men might have been beaten up so badly before they came. So, they were eager to clear their
names.
I sneered, "Are you really that short of money?"
They nodded vigorously.
I merely nodded at their response. Then, after staring at them for a while, I continued, "Since you're
willing to do anything for money... How about you help me with something and I'll pay you?"
The two men exchanged looks with each other. Then, one of them looked at me and asked, "What is
it?"
