Chapter 644 I Want to Make up with You
Colin's voice message was sent out, but Faye didn't reply immediately.
After a few minutes, Faye replied, "Go to bed early. Good night."
When Colin saw Faye's text, his lips curved upward. His fingertips moved across the screen, and he
replied, "Good night, honey."
After sending the text to Faye, Colin looked at Ethan with a smile on his face.
Seeing this, Ethan raised his eyebrows. "Did you two make up?"
"It's just a matter of time."
"I don't think that's what you said."
Colin chuckled and turned to push the car door. "Faye told me to go to bed early, so I won't ask you to
stay longer."
Ethan was lost for words.
Colin stepped out of the car. He took two steps, then turned back to the driver's side and knocked on
the window.
Ethan rolled down the window and asked in a low voice, "What?"
Colin put one hand on the window and said with a half-smile, "You don't understand when you're single.
That's what couples do. We don't go to bed angry."
Before Colin could finish his words, Ethan rolled up the window. He looked ahead, spun the steering
wheel and put his foot on the gas.
Colin laughed angrily, took out his phone and sent Ethan a text, "Jealous?"
Ethan replied, "Fuck off."
The next day.
Colin didn't close his eyes for almost the whole night. At daybreak, he got up and walked into the
bathroom to take a shower.
After washing up, Colin wore a bathrobe and walked over to the bedside table. He bent down, picked
up his phone, checked the time, and straightened up to wipe his hair.
At 7:40 in the morning, Colin arrived at the company on time for the morning meeting.
After the morning meeting, Colin strode back to the office. Robert followed him and said in a deep
voice, "Mr. Farrell, the police just called. They said that Hugh had turned himself in."
"I see."
"The Farrell Group has completely fallen into the hands of Brandon."
A hint of sarcasm came out of Colin's eyes as he heard this. "What about Hank?"
"I was about to tell you that just last night, Hank was sent away, along with Nylah."
Colin sneered. "Is he willing to go?"
Robert told the truth, "He probably has no choice."
Hank was a real wimp for the first half of his life.
He had great ambition, but he lacked the strength to fulfil it.
He was not that mediocre. In fact, he could be considered a standout among his peers.
It was a shame that he had a family like that and a rival like Colin.
He was meant be a stepping stone for others.
Seeing that Colin didn't speak, Robert lowered his voice and asked, "What are we going to do with
Brandon?"
Colin squinted his eyes and said in a cold voice, "At this point, if we don't do anything, I'm afraid I'll turn
into another Hank."
"Got it."
Colin said slowly, "His den is in Bomsville. We should uproot it."
"I've finished what you had asked me to investigate."
"Send all those things to Maxwell later. He knows what to do."
Having been working for Colin for so many years, Robert knew him too well.
Colin wouldn't do anything that would break the law. People who didn't know Colin would think he didn't
have the strength, but Robert understood that he was consolidating at every step.
In fact, there were many businessmen like Colin.
People with higher status were more low-key and introverted.
For example, though Ethan was bad-tempered, he had never been involved in any murder cases.
Colin finished his words and walked into the office.
He had just sat down, and Robert was about to make tea for him when there was a knock at the door.
Colin leaned his back into the chair and said in a deep voice, "Come in."
Then the office door was pushed open from the outside. Faye stood at the door with her high heels on.
Colin's hand on the desk curled slightly as he met Faye's eyes.
Faye asked, "Do you have a minute?"
Colin said to Robert, "Let yourself out." From NôvelDrama.Org.
