It was really a perfunctory response.
Rebecca stared at him and took a deep breath. "Abbot, I suspect you have been playing dumb
before."
Stirring the porridge with a spoon, Abbot paused for a second. He then said with a serious and sincere
expression, "No. Absolutely not."
Rebecca sneered in disbelief.
Abbot scooped a spoonful of porridge to Rebecca's mouth. “Have some porridge.”
Rebecca tilted her head to one side. "I'm full."
Abbot raised his eyebrows. "Are you sure?"
After last night, pressing her lips together Rebecca understood Abbot's implication immediately. After a
long time, she said, "Colin was right."
Abbot asked confusedly, "What?"
Rebecca said, "You are a lecher."
Hearing this, Abbot was not offended but nodded solemnly. "Actually, I have had a hard time over the
years."
Rebecca was speechless.
Abbot looked at Rebecca and smiled. "So, Ms. Black, I'm sorry that I have to trouble you in the
following days. Just think of it as a good deed."
Rebecca glared at him furiously.
Abbot said, "Don't worry. Nowadays, love is not bound by any rules. After this week, if you really want
to break up with me, I won't force you."
Looking at his face, Rebecca was completely silent.
As for Colin, after ending the call with Abbot, he turned his phone upside down in his hand and then
smiled thoughtfully.
When Faye saw Colin's meaningful smile when she came out from the bathroom, she raised her
eyebrows curiously, "What's the matter?"
Colin turned his head and said meaningfully, "Abbot and Rebecca are together."
Faye was stunned for a moment, and then smiled. "I see."
Colin ridiculed, "You best friend has a boyfriend now. Why are you not surprised?"
Faye stepped forward to the wardrobe and replied with a smile, "It meets my expectation."
Colin leaned back slightly with his hands supporting the chair behind him. "Indeed."
Faye took out a suit from the wardrobe and turned to Colin. "Aren't you going to work?"
Colin replied, "I have something to ask Ethan, so I'll meet him first and then go to the company."
Faye nodded without doubt, carrying a suit into the bathroom.
Looking at the closed door of the bathroom, Colin raised his eyebrows.
Having gotten married for such a long time, Faye still didn't change her clothes in front of him. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
After a while, Faye came out, and Colin happened to be neatly dressed.
They looked at each other. Colin went to Faye and bowed to give her a kiss. "Have lunch together?"
Faye smiled. "OK."
Coming out of Fennth Community, Colin watched Faye leave and took out his phone to dial Andy's
number.
The phone was connected, and Colin said in a low voice, "Come out."
A little later Andy drove out from the basement.
He parked the car in front of Colin and got off to open the door for Colin.
Seeing Andy's movement, Colin waved his hand.
At the motion of Colin's hand, Andy immediately understood and got back in the car.
A few minutes later, they hit the road. Colin unbuttoned two buttons on his suit jacket and said in an
indifferent voice, "Go to Tanner's house."
Andy answered, "OK, Mr. Farrell."
The car cruised on the road. Colin turned his head to look out of the window, as calm as usual.
After about one hour, Andy parked the car at the gate of Tanner's community.
He turned to look at Colin. "Mr. Farell, do you need me to go with you?"
Colin looked up. "No. You drive to somewhere convert."
Andy nodded. "OK. I will."
Colin opened the door and got off.
After getting off, Colin didn't go to Tanner's house directly, but made a phone call to him.
Tanner answered the phone after a while and inhaled deeply. "Hello. Mr. Farrell."
Colin asked in a low and attractive voice, "Is it convenient for you? Let's have a talk."
Tanner replied, "Yes."
Colin continued, "Are you at home?"
Tanner said, "Yes."
Colin nodded. "OK, I'm at the gate. Please open the door for me later."
After hanging up, Colin entered the housing estate and took the elevator upstairs.
When Colin walked out of the elevator, Tanner was already waiting in the corridor.
Tanner was dressed in cotton and linen pajamas. Tiredness could be seen from his face. He had not
slept all night.
Colin strode out of the elevator and said with a smile, "Didn't you sleep well last night?"
Tanner managed to produce a dim smile and didn't say a word.
Sometimes, adults didn't have to say too much.
Tanner didn't answer, so Colin didn't continue to ask him, and stepped into the door directly.
Colin went ahead, followed by Tanner.
They entered the door in tandem. Tanner went to the refrigerator and took out a bottle of mineral water.
After unscrewing the lid, he handed the bottle to Colin.
Colin expressed his thanks and took it, but he didn't drink the water.
Tanner stood in front of the coffee table to see Colin. He raised his hand to wipe his weary face. "Mr.
Farrell, just speak out whatever you want to say."
