Chapter 555 Out of Debt, Out of Burden

After Abbot finished speaking, the air solidified for a second. If it were in the past, Rebecca would have

panicked or said something to defend herself. But now, she was very calm.

She looked directly at him and said seriously, "I can go to buy clothes with you, but you have to

promise me one thing."

Abbot frowned, "What?"

Rebecca said, "Introduce Matthew to me."

Abbot was speechless.

Seeing him keep silent, she smiled, "My grandmother said that matchmakers will have more good

luck."

Abbot muttered in a deep voice expressionlessly, "I should be rewarded more than just good luck. If I

generously introduce the woman I like to another man, I should be granted a chance to become a god."

Rebecca couldn't hear his murmur, so she asked, "What are you saying?"

Abbot suppressed the jealousy in his eyes and said, "Let's go in to have the meal right now."

Then, he stepped toward the hotel.

When he walked in front, Rebecca silently put on his coat. After taking a few steps, she suddenly

thought of something, so she paused her steps and said, "Abbot."

Hearing this, Abbot turned his head back. When he saw her wearing his jacket, his heart skipped a

beat before he asked, "What's wrong?"

Rebecca replied, "My coat is left at the venue of the film festival."

To hide his unnaturalness, Abbot raised his fist in front of his mouth and coughed, saying, "I'll call my

assistant to go there to get it and send it to your company tomorrow."

Rebecca grinned, "Thank you!"

Then, she stepped up the steps.

When they walked side by side, Abbot turned his head to look at her and said, "You changed a lot after

paying back the money. You sound more confident now."

Rebecca replied, "Out of debt, out of burden. I feel like walking in the cloud now."

Abbot pursed his thin lips and said in a deep voice, "I have a good investment project. The profit will be

high, and the risk is low."

Rebecca refused, "I will not invest. I have no money."

Abbot said, "I can lend money to you. You will not need to pay me interest."

Rebecca shook her head firmly and said solemnly, "No, I don't want to live inferiorly anymore."

Abbot was at a loss for words.

After a few seconds, when he was thinking about how to refute, Rebecca stepped into the hotel.

Seeing this, he hurriedly caught up with her.

When they pushed open the door of the private room, Colin was pouring water for Faye.

Hearing the door opening, he turned his head back. And he raised his eyebrows when he saw the suit

jacket on Rebecca.

Rebecca calmly entered the private room, pulled out a chair, and sat down. Then, she asked casually,

"I remember Aniston is an artist from Farrell Media, right?"

Colin nodded, "Yes."

Rebecca smiled, "Mr. Farrell, can you help me get her autograph? She looks righteous, so I like her."

Colin said, "I'm not familiar with the female stars in the company. You can ask Faye to get one for you."

Rebecca said, "OK."

When the conversation ended, the waiter began to serve the dishes one after another.

Abbot had been angered by Rebecca just now, so he wanted to pick a quarrel to vent his anger, asking,

"I haven't ordered, but the dishes have already started to be served?"

Colin knew he was deliberately finding fault, so he leaned back and said with a half-smile, "If you don't

want to eat, you can leave."

Abbot walked over to Colin, sat down with a sullen face, and said in a deep voice, "Are you saying this

on purpose?"

Colin smiled, "Have you lost in an argument again?"

Abbot snorted, refusing to answer the question.

Colin shifted his butt, leaned toward Abbot, and said, "Beg me, and I'll give you some advice."

Abbot sneered, "You said that it would be fine to deal with it in the same way as doing business. But

now, it seems to have little effect."

Colin said, "I've told you the theory, and it is your job to put it into practice. You know the method but

can't use it flexibly. How could you blame me?"

Before Abbot could retort, Colin changed the topic and asked, "I heard Aunt Carlotta and Uncle Jadon

went back to your old house for dinner this evening?"

Abbot replied absentmindedly, "Yes."

Colin picked up the pot, poured a cup of water for Abbot, pushed it to him, and asked, "Do you know

why Uncle Jadon's pursuit of Aunt Carlotta went on so smoothly?"

Abbot said, "Because Aunt Carlotta is blind." This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Colin raised his eyebrows lightly and said, "Are you sure Uncle Jadon is your biological uncle?"

Abbot picked up the cup, took a sip, and said, "I am not sure. We're going to have a paternity test

tomorrow morning."

Colin nodded sternly, "Good to hear that you know you should resort to science. Judging from your IQ, I

thought you would just go to ask your father about it."

Abbot was speechless.

After about ten seconds, he looked at Colin and said, "Colin, why are you so eloquent?"

Colin smiled confidently, "Because my EQ and IQ coexist. I am too excellent."

Abbot said, "I take back my last sentence. Forget what I asked."

Colin's smile grew bigger. Then, he kicked him under the table and said in a faint voice that only the

two of them could hear, "Next, you won't do anything but help her in her career. Let nature take its

way."

Abbot didn't understand, so he asked, "Why?"

Colin said meaningfully, "Just do as I said."
