Was he attractive? The answer was affirmative. After all, Abbot was rich and good-looking and had a
good figure.
Rebecca didn't reply to Faye, but she answered silently in her heart.
Faye waited for a few seconds, but Rebecca did not say a word, so she said with a smile, "Abbot is a
good person. You might as well consider dating him."
Rebecca felt torn, so she raised her hand to scratch her head and said, "It's troublesome."
Faye said, "When you tricked and flirted with him, you didn't find it troublesome. Why?"
Rebecca said, "If I had known I would lose the bait along with the fish, I would not have played the trick
on him no matter what."
Faye chuckled, "There are many kinds of medicines in this world, but you can never get the regret
medicine."
Then, she added, "You regret it now. But maybe after a while, you will thank yourself for that decision."
Rebecca pursed her lips and said in a muffled voice, "I'll go home now. Let's stop chatting. Bye."
Then, she quickly hung up the phone.
Hearing the busy tone, Faye smiled, put away the phone, and continued talking to Jake.
Jake's injuries were serious, so his body was covered with bandages. At first glance, he looked like an
Egyptian mummy.
Faye looked down at him and asked, "Have you made up your mind?"
Jake replied in a deep voice, "Yeah."
Faye said, "Tiffany is dead, so you can continue running the psych clinic. No one can threaten you
anymore."
Jake said with a smile in his eyes, "No."
Faye said, "You don't have to leave Cocanel even if you don't want to run the clinic."
Jake smiled, "Faye, you changed."
Faye asked suspiciously, "What do you mean?"
Jake grinned, "You became very human."
Faye was stunned for a moment and then smiled. She did not deny it but said, "Colin should take the C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.
credit."
Jake said, "It's great. I'm glad to see you become like this."
Faye smiled, "I hope you will meet the person who can make you open your heart soon."
Jake smiled lightly in silence.
Seeing him being so decisive to leave, she stopped persuading him although she was somewhat
reluctant to let him leave.
People should not restrain their lovers or friends in the name that it was for the latter's good.
If two people were in a good relationship, they should unconditionally support and sincerely help each
other, making both better and better.
After chatting with Jake for a while, Faye said goodbye to him and left.
Coming out of the ward and closing the door, she saw Alexander squatting in the corner while smoking
a cigarette.
There were a lot of cigarette butts scattered at his feet. Seeing her, he hurriedly stubbed out the
cigarette between his fingers, stood up, and said, "I'll clean up these cigarette butts later."
Faye asked, "Why don't you go in?"
Alexander kept silent with a serious face.
Faye said, "Jake has decided to leave Cocanel when he recovers."
Alexander lowered his head, stepped on the cigarette butts on the ground, and said, "I know."
Faye chuckled, "You're not a kid. If you want to make friends with him, don't be bashful!"
Alexander showed a gloomy face. After a long time, he raised his eyes and asked, "Faye, do you
respect all kinds of feelings?"
Faye smiled, "As long as it doesn't violate public morals or my principles, I respect all kinds of feelings."
Alexander pouted and said, "Well, I see."
Faye said, "Take good care of Jake and yourself. Don't hesitate to call me if you need my help."
Alexander nodded, "I will."
At the same time, Abbot was driving home. Thinking about his performance just now and Rebecca's
reaction, he showed a proud face.
Stopping the car in front of the red light, he called Colin.
After the phone rang for a few seconds, Colin picked it up.
Before Abbot could speak, he took the lead in joking, "Please start your performance."
Hearing his words, Abbot tutted on the phone, "Colin, can you speak human language?"
Colin smiled, "I think Rebecca was looking at you with a weird look in her eyes tonight."
Hearing this, Abbot couldn't help grinning to his ears. But he pretended to be calm and asked, "You
also notice it?"
Colin suppressed his laughter and said, "Yeah."
Abbot said, "The dating advice from you and my uncle is quite useful."
Colin said, "Tell me your accomplishment tonight."
Abbot tapped his slender fingers on the steering wheel, looked at the red light ahead, and deliberately
said casually, "There is nothing special to say."
The smile on Colin's face grew bigger when he said, "If so, I won't ask about it anymore."
Hearing this, Abbot coughed and said, "If you are indeed very curious, I can tell you something
although I am reluctant to do so."
Colin decided to do him a rare favor, so he said with a sneer, "I happen to feel bored now. Come on.
Tell me what happened."
Abbot put on airs and said, "Beg me."
