Chapter 1628 : Good people deserve to die
“Just got here.” Fredrick raised his hand and pressed a switch on the wall beside him, and the room was suddenly white and blinding, “If the room was brighter you wouldn’t be startled.”
Come on, it’s scary to have someone suddenly appear in the room with or without lights on, right?
Winnie squinted her eyes, not quite adjusting to the sudden light.
“What are you doing here?”
“To celebrate you, of course.” Fredrick, out of sight, picks up Winnie’s leftover wine from the table, pours it for himself, and raises his glass to Winnie.
“To your renunciation; your husband would be relieved to know in heaven that I’m sure he wouldn’t want you to live in hatred, and to his kindness that good people deserve to die and have no one to give revenge to.”
He said something extremely sarcastic in a gloomy way, tilted his head and drank a full glass of wine in one go.
Winnie was a little annoyed because a few words had hit home for her.
She also felt that, according to her husband’s personality, he would never let her live in hatred, he was very kind.
But a kind person can’t be let down, and if she doesn’t avenge him, Winnie can’t rest in peace for the rest of her life.
“Why are you unhappy? You’ve been relieved, that’s something to be happy about.”
Fredrick picked up the cup Winnie had used before and poured her another cup and handed it over.
Winnie didn’t take it and walked straight to the bed and sat down, her face pale.
“You don’t have to humiliate me, I’m really tired, and even though I look like Charles White’s deceased, I still haven’t seduced him, and I may not succeed at all, no need to waste my mind on me.”
“Charles White has come to Thailand, do you think it’s you who has failed?”
Fredrick put his glass down and pulled his chair over to sit daintily, “He just didn’t find you.”
“Are you sure he came looking for me?”
Winnie didn’t think it was possible, Charles White had made it clear he wasn’t going to have any feelings for her, and he hadn’t even waited for him at the airport that day, so he couldn’t have come for her.
Fredrick also shook his head: “I’m not sure, but he’s here, you have to take your chances.”
“He doesn’t feel anything for me, I don’t have a chance.”
“Ha, are you stupid?” Fredrick looked at her like she was a fool, “You need to figure out your purpose is not to talk to Charles White about feelings, but to get close, there are no feelings to lust after, are you that stupid?”
“I…” Winnie was dumbfounded by his words, she did get the wrong direction.
Since she knew she looked similar to Charles White’s deceased, she seemed to be relying more on the face and becoming passive.
Fredrick lolled, his arm stretched over the tabletop propping the side of his head, languid as a white furred, blue-eyed Persian cat.
“Winnie, you’re going to be used by wavering like this, and I’m really afraid that one day, you’ll turn on me because of the trifling words of your enemies.”
“No way.” Winnie thought he was talking nonsense. Even if she was not smart enough, she would not be able to trap people in the organization.
The most she could do was give up her hatred.
Fredrick’s blue eyes hid a meaningful light, and after gazing at Winnie for a long time, he suddenly sat up straight.NôvelDrama.Org © content.
“Tomorrow noon Charles White returned to S City, I arranged for you to sit with him, make the best of it.”
Without waiting for Winnie to question, without giving her a chance to refuse, Fredrick went back the way he came, in and out from whence he came.
Winnie chased him to the window, and the figure was already far out, already swallowed up by the night.
It was like the first time they met, when he appeared in her home and suddenly flipped out the window and left, almost like a reenactment of that year, exactly the same.
