Chapter 218
Chapter 218
Stephanie’s body tensed up, immediately looking towards the doorway.
She was embarrassed, “Why are you awake?”
Vincent, clad in sleek navy silk pajamas with a half–open collar, showcasing alluring collarbones and pale skin, looked seductively sexy.
He raised an eyebrow at Stephanie, making a confused noise, It seems like I shouldn’t be awake.”
Stephanie opened her mouth, giving a hint of a smile, “That’s not what I meant.”
Approaching her, Vincent stood by her side, leaning down with one hand on the chair’s back and the other on the table.
“What does that mean?”
Stephanie gazed up at him. “Did…you hear everything? This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
“Of course. Vincent answered.
Tm that. Hacker Yern,” she murmured.
Vincent deeply looked into her eyes I should’ve known this. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“You didn’t ask!” she said.
Vincent was rendered speechless.
Stephanie bit her lip. “So, do you have anything hiding from me?”
Vincent smirked, then straightened up. “No.” Then he turned towards the door and walked away.
Witnessing his behavior, Stephanie felt certain that he was keeping something from her..
Quickly trailing him, she said, “Vincent, you must have another identity hidden from me! Tell me!”
Rushing into the bedroom, Vincent slipped under the covers.
Stephanie climbed into the bed, moving closer, blinking. “Tell me, are you hiding some secret identity from me too?”
Vincent pulled the blanket over his head, muffled, “No.”
Stephanie didn’t buy this, attempting to grab the blanket, but he held on firmly, making it impossible to move.
She wriggled into the blanket which was as his wished.
Wrapping her up with blanket, Vincent rolled over to pin her down.
Stephanie stared at the man above her, eyes widening. “You’ve wrapped me up like a burrito in a tortilla!”
Suddenly feeling a chill on her legs, the lower part of the blanker was lifted.
Realizing what he was going to do, Stephanie blushed, “Vincent You sexaholic”
This is just our daily activity,” Vincent whispered against her lips. “Remember when you hacked into the Fletcher Croup. Stephie!
Stephanie was speechless.
At that time, Douglas sought her out, claiming that he was in so much pain because of Vincent’s oppression.
Hence, in an attempt to stand up for Douglas, she hacked into the Fletcher Group’s security system, displaying “Impotent Vincent‘ on all computer screens,
Luckily, Vincent managed to control and upgrade the security system.
Aware of the skilled figures within the Fletcher Group, Stephanie refrained from further actions, fearing being caught.
Bringing up the past now, Stephanie knew her guilt.
Looking at the man above her, a mischievous smile playing on her lips, she said. “I’m too scared to admit my identity because of those foolish past actions
Vincent responded, “So?”
“So I was feeling pretty guilty?
Stephanie let out a soft hum from his mouth.
He smiled. “Am I impotent?”
Biting her lower lip, Stephante said, “No.”
Vincent chuckled, “Really?”
“Absolutely!”
“Am I good?”
Stephanie, with trembling eyelashes, “Yes, you’re…good, you’re the best! Vincent, are you…Hacker Flash?”
Vincent grinned mischievously, “Why don’t you find out yourse with your body under mine!”
In the wee hours, the room echoed with the faint moaning of the girl, which sounds delicate and fragmented. Stephanie was exhausted, so when she woke up in the morning, it was already nine o’clock,
As she got up, Vincent had already headed to the Fletcher Group as there was an urgent meeting scheduled.
Stephanie quickly freshened up, changed her clothes, and drove to the research institute.
Upon reaching the laboratory, she was pleasantly surprised to see the mice used in the experimental drug ratio study showing signs of recovery. Seeing hope, her mood was brightened instantly.
To play it safe, she decided not to tell Vincent yet. In case something went wrong halfway, she was afraid he would be disappointed.
After all, the higher the hope, the greater the disappointment.
Nevertheless, she called Ronan to share the good news,
The moment the call connected, Stephanie’s voice carried excitement, “Master!”
Roman’s eyes lit up, “Stephic, what’s the good news? Are you pregnant?”
Before Stephanie could respond, someone grabbed the phone on the other side.
G.
“Why are you snatching my phone, you old man?”
“Because you keep talking rubbish!”
“When did Lever talk rubbish? Everything I say is quote!”
“Nonsense“” the man exclaimed.
“Hey, give me back the phone!”
Denver’s voice chimed in. “Stephie, have you succeeded in the research?”
“Some progress has been made, still in the experimental phase.
Denver sighed. “Seems like some diseases still need Western medicine to cure! Stephie, your combination of Eastern and Western medicine is impressive!”
“Way better than you, old man!*
“Shut up!
“Give me back my phone. I want to talk to Stephie. Hey, why are you pushing me?
Denver continued, “Stephie, we’re continuing with the Myriad Poison Herb project, and you keep working on your end. If there’s any news, contact me promptly.
Get it.” After ending the call, Stephanie breathed a sigh of relief It felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Though it was just a small step forward, she started to feel relaxed.
If the experiment stabilized, then with little effort, she would feel much more relaxed.
At that moment, a picture popped up on her phone.
Stephanie tapped to open it, and it was a photo of Sable’s injured leg he had sent.
The wound looked infected.
Stephanie messaged him, [Are you taking a bath again?]
Sable. [I couldn’t resist taking one last night, didn’t expect it to get infected. I feel a bit feverish.]
Stephanie edited, [Send me your room number, I’ll come check on you]
But as she typed, she remembered Vincent’s jealous expression
So, she deleted each word one by one.
She replied, I’ll send a doctor to check on you.“)
After she texting Sable didn’t reply anymore.
An hour later, she tried calling him, but no one answered.
Feeling not right, Stephanie glanced at the stable experiment data and decided to pack her bag, put on her coat, and leave
the research institute for the hotel.
She asked about Sable’s room at the front desk, but they said they couldn’t disclose the guest’s privacy
B
Stephanie explained the situation, and the front desk promptly informed the manager.
Taking the room key, the manager accompanied Stephanie upstairs.
Opening the door to Sable’s room, Stephanie hurried in to see him lying in bed covered with blankets, his cheeks flushed, eyes tightly shut.
She placed her hand on the man’s forehead, feeling the heat. He had a high fever.
Squatting down, she softly said. “Sable, wake up.”
After a few calls, Sable furrowed his brows.
“Should I take you to the hospital?” Stephanie asked.
Sable open one eye, his brown eyes dull and lacking luster. “I don’t want to go, just buy some medicine.”
Stephanie nodded and turned to the manager, “Get some antibiotics and fever reducers.”
The manager quickly arranged someone to buy the medicines, understanding the importance of this guest in the presidential suite.
As Stephanie moved to fetch water, the man clasped her wrist, stopping her.
