Love Has Its Will

Chapter 495

Chapter 495

“Mr. Cassel, I am not sure about that,” Jim replied. “Should I do an investigation now?”

“Yes, please.”

Soon, Brandon changed his mind. “Forget it.

I’ll go there myself tomorrow. Don’t alert the enemy,” Brandon said.

“Brandon, come to have some fruits in the courtyard.”

Savanna, who was taking the fruits prepared by Lizeth to the courtyard, walked past

Brandon and heard his last sentence.

Brandon nodded and then pointed to his phone. “You go first. I’ll be right there.”

Savanna was close to Brandon, so she heard Jim’s voice from the receiver. “If you go there, will you fall into his trap?”

Finn is sick but sly. Who knows what he has prepared at the airport? Jim thought.

Savanna heard this question, so her heart skipped a beat.

Savanna wondered, what trap?

Who is Brandon talking to over the phone? Is he in danger?

During the supper, Savanna thought a lot and concluded that she should have faith in Brandon.

I should trust my husband who shares the same bed with me. How could I suspect him because of the slanders from some villains?

Savanna thought.

Therefore, Savanna decided to spend more time with Brandon. We should be candid with each other to solve the root problem, Savanna thought.

“Don’t worry. I don’t think that he will predict my move like a prophet!”

Brandon sounded confident and then hung up the phone.

Brandon turned around and saw Savanna standing with a fruit tray behind him.

In the warm yellow light, Savanna looked gentler with her fluffy hair and delicate facial features.

Brandon put away his phone. Then, he embraced Savanna around her slender waist from behind and rested his chin on her shoulder.

“Didn’t I tell you to wait for me in the yard?

Aren’t you tired of standing here?”

Savanna shook her head. Then, she braced herself to ask, “Who did you talk with?”

“Jim. He did some investigation for me.”

“Brandon, are you in trouble? Can you tell me?”

“I met a guy who tried to break us up. I won’t let him succeed,” Brandon said honestly.

“Honey, please believe me. We will still be together when we are eighty years old or too old to move!”

Savanna was moved by Brandon’s sincerity and felt that she had been too impulsive. I will trust Brandon from now on, Savanna swore to herself.

It was two o’clock in the afternoon of the next day.

Brandon received a message from his informer and knew that Finn was in a car heading toward the airport in New York.

he

Why did the sick Finn go to the airport?

Brandon wondered. To find the answer, drove to the airport and arrived there earlier than Finn.

There were not many people at the airport.

Brandon learned from his assistant that Finn did not buy a plane ticket. Brandon thought, then, he came to pick up somebody.

But who?

Brandon was smart. He remembered that he looked similar to Finn. Isn’t my face the locator? Brandon thought.

He looked around with his cold eyes, found a conspicuous position, and stood there.

Brandon didn’t look around. He took out his phone and called Savanna.

“Did you get up? Savanna.”

Savanna, who had just woken up from a nap, yawned and then said with a smile, “How did you know that I had just woken up from a nap?”

“Because the lovers have telepathy with each other.”

Brandon wasn’t shy when he said so at the airport.

Savanna felt shy. “Come on, you know my timetable. You know that I take a nap at noon.”

“What will you do in the afternoon? You may go shopping with Janet or take Roya out for a walk. Don’t entertain foolish ideas,”

Brandon advised.

“Got you,” Savanna obediently responded.

She silently swore to herself that she would never let her imagination run wild again.

I will trust Brandon. Trust is the cornerstone of marriage, Savanna thought.

“Honey, you are so good. I love you.”

Brandon started his sweet attack again.

Savanna blushed at his flirtation. She opened her mouth but was at a loss about what to do.

Should I scold him? Savanna wondered.

The couple had said what they should say but were reluctant to hang up the phone.

They heard each other’s breathing in silence and felt happy.

“Alright. I have to go now,” Brandon said.

Right then, a pair of little hands covered Brandon’s eyes.

Brandon felt the gentle touch on his eyelids and thought, these female hands are tender with a faint fragrance of hand cream.

Then, a girl’s voice sounded, “Who am I?”

Brandon was quick. He instantly hung up the phone.

Savanna, on the other end of the line, vaguely heard the girl’s voice. She tried to convince herself to trust Brandon after suppressing her uneasiness and suspicion.

Savanna thought, I must have misheard.

Never will Brandon cheat on me.

I swore to believe Brandon.

I can not go back on my word.

We promise each other to spend the rest of our lives together. We will happily live together after we become old!

Savanna finally calmed down and took her husband’s advice.

She called Janet. Then, Savanna took Roya out to have fun with Janet.

The airport became crowded now.

Brandon and a strange girl looked at each other in the crowd.

The strange girl wore a white sleeveless shirt, light blue shorts, and shoes of some luxury brand.

The girl wore a ponytail too. Given her simple attire, she looked like the cute and sunny girl next door with her crescent eyes and sweet smile.

However, Brandon didn’t know her at all.

Brandon was confused about why this stranger had covered his eyes.

The girl noticed the confusion shown by

Brandon and asked with displeasure, “Finn, why are you looking at me like that? It seems you don’t know me at all.”

“What did you call me?” Hearing the address, Brandon had an answer in his heart.

“Finn, what’s wrong with you? Why do you look like you don’t know me?” This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

The stranger leaned over, stretched out her tender hand, and placed it on Brandon’s forehead.

“Are you out of your mind because of your sickness?”

Brandon took a step back and cautiously dodged the girl’s hand. “Are you Lilia?” he asked tentatively.
