Chapter 705: This Is None of Your Business
The bodyguard wanted to retaliate, but found himself not only immobilized, but his bones nearly shattered. He looked at Tina in shock. How powerful! Despite her young age, why was her internal strength so formidable? Who exactly was she? Tina's cold eyes fixed on him as she asked in an icy tone, "What were you about to do?"
For some reason, meeting Tina's gaze felt like being watched by a wolf. This man, who had been a bodyguard for the Bailey family for over twenty years, was skilled in martial arts and possessed considerable internal strength, yet in front of this girl, he felt utterly inferior, not even one ten-thousandth as capable.
The bodyguard paused for a moment before speaking, "I apologize, I was presumptuous."
Tina glanced at him, shook off his hand, and casually took out a tissue from her pocket to wipe her hands. She seemed to flick her wrist lightly, but the bodyguard was thrown several meters away. It was only by using his internal strength that he managed to stabilize himself.
Looking up at Tina again, the bodyguard walked over to Ella Bailey and whispered, "Miss, let's go back."
"Slap!"
As soon as the bodyguard spoke, Ella Bailey slapped him, furious, "You worthless thing! I told you to cripple those two old fools, and you go weak at the knees over a pretty face? What use do I have for you?"
The bodyguard, having been struck, dared not show any displeasure and softly advised, "Miss, this person is very strong. With her here, we won't succeed today. Let's return and plan further."
"Hmph! When I want something, there's no room for long-term planning. You're useless and you dare teach me how to conduct my affairs?"
Ella Bailey glared at the bodyguard, then turned to Tina, "I want to see what she can do to me!"
With that, she stepped forward and raised her hand to strike Tina, but before she could land a blow, Tina kicked her.
"Bang!"
Ella Bailey was sent flying several meters into a wall, spewing blood immediately.
"Miss!"
The bodyguard's expression changed as he quickly helped Ella Bailey up. She clutched her chest, her face a mix of disbelief and shock, unable to react in time to Tina's kick. Ella, however, was no ordinary woman; she was the precious daughter of the hidden Bailey family, trained in martial arts from a young age and a standout in internal strength within her family, with few equals.
Yet today, she had been incapacitated before she could even react.
"Who are you?"
Ella Bailey eyed Tina warily. Since when did Elsa know such a formidable person? She was completely unaware.
"I am your grandfather!"
Tina looked at her expressionlessly.
Ella Bailey's face grew uglier as she stared at Tina, "Don't think you can act arrogantly in front of me just because you know a few moves. I am a daughter of the Bailey family, and Elsa has offended the Bailey family, the hidden clan! Be wise and stay out of this."
Tina, hands in her pockets, her eyes hooded and her bangs falling to obscure half her face, making it difficult to read her expression, spoke in a voice as cold as the ice of winter, "What if I insist on meddling in this affair?"
The hidden clan? Excellent. She had let Dorothy Russell go precisely to deal with the hidden clan. Here was one already heading her way. Ella Bailey squinted, "Then you won't survive tomorrow!"
"Ha!"
Tina laughed, "All my life, many have told me I wouldn't live to see tomorrow-too many to count. I'm still here, alive and well. Do you want to know if they are still alive?"
Ella Bailey remained silent.
Tina stepped forward, coming face to face with Ella Bailey, and spoke indifferently, "They-are all still alive. Some are in my dog kennel, being bitten by dogs daily; some are in my wolf yard, keeping company with wolves; and others are in my lab, turned into living specimens."
She paused, then lifted her eyes to Ella Bailey.
"Where do you want to go?"
Ella Bailey felt a sudden panic within her, not knowing why, but she believed what this girl said was true.
She was too strong, no match for her on her own.
Ella Bailey's thoughts whirled, and then she spoke, "You can protect Elsa once, but can you protect her for a lifetime? What she holds is coveted by the hidden families, not just my Bailey family. Many families are after her. No matter how strong you are, can you stand against the hidden families? I advise you not to interfere, lest you bring trouble upon yourself!"
She wasn't foolish; knowing the strength of her opponent, yet she still chose to confront her!
Her only goal was to obtain what Elsa held, not to invite trouble upon herself.
Especially a trouble as formidable as this.
Tina remained silent, just watching her.
But with that look alone, Ella Bailey understood-the matter concerning Elsa was something this girl would handle.
She narrowed her eyes and finally said, "Have the guts to tell me your name."
"Tina Reed!"
Tina responded promptly.
Ella Bailey said, "Fine! You wait, this isn't over yet. Since you want to interfere, be ready to face the wrath of the hidden families!" With that, Ella Bailey left with the help of her bodyguards.
After they left, Sophia tilted her head, puzzled, "Tina, why didn't you teach the bad guy a harsh lesson today?"
Usually, Tina would severely punish the wrongdoers.
Today, however, she only kicked once.
Sophia didn't understand the significance of that kick; she only knew it was a kick.
Tina patted Sophia's head, smiling, "I'm keeping the bad guy for a reason."
She looked in the direction where Ella Bailey had disappeared, her eyes slightly narrowed.
"Miss Reed, thank you."
It wasn't until Ella Bailey was out of sight that Elsa realized.
She hadn't expected Tina to be so formidable as to directly drive away Ella Bailey.
She knew how powerful Ella Bailey was, unable to contend with her, which had led to their family's downfall.
Tina softened her icy gaze, speaking gently, "It's not safe for you to stay here anymore; pack your things and come with me now."
"Yes, I know it's not safe here, but I don't want to trouble you," Elsa said.
"I know you're capable, Miss Reed, but I've offended people who are not ordinary; they are very powerful, and if it weren't for what I have, I would probably be dead already."
Elsa sighed, "I'm very grateful you could help us during our tough times, but really, you shouldn't bother with this anymore."
Just then, several cars drove in.
Cole got out of one and approached Tina with respect, saying, "Serena, the house has been cleaned, we can move there now." Tina nodded.
"There's a sick man inside; carry him to the car, and take what's useful from the house, throw away what's not."
"Yes."
Cole, without another word, had his men enter the house and carry out Elsa's husband.
Seeing this, Elsa hurriedly said, "Miss Reed..."
Before she could finish, Tina cut her off, "Elsa, even if you don't consider yourself, think about your daughter. She's still young, and seeing her mother mistreated all day, imagine the stress she feels. And this place isn't suitable for your husband's treatment."
Elsa thought of her husband's legs, sadly lowering her head, "It's my fault, my husband's disability is because of me, I..."
"I can cure him!"
Tina interrupted her.
Elsa suddenly looked up, "You, you can cure him? His legs are ruined; a car ran directly over them, breaking them..."
"Trust me! I can!"This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
