Chapter 452
Bentley said at once, "Should we just leave now? It doesn't feel very safe for us to remain here." "Don't worry. I'm going to take care of them. You have nothing to be scared of," said Wilbur.
Nonetheless, Xavi and Bentley still looked extremely worried.
Wilbur chuckled. "Don't be so scared. The second you get this over with, you'll be going back to a promotion." "I'm afraid | won't live to see that day," Bentley said in terror.
Skyler smiled. "What the hell are you afraid of? You two work for Cape, don't you? Do you think we wouldn't be able to take on a few hooligans?" "You're right, and we wouldn't be scared if we were in Seechertown. However, we're in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by mountains. We might just die and not even know it," said Xavi.
Wilbur said in a deep voice, "Relax. Someone's coming to get us tomorrow, and no one here is getting away." Neither Xavi nor Bentley knew just how powerful Wilbur actually was, but Faye had called them saying that Wilbur was there to specifically take care of this and all they had to do was listen to him.
Both men were terrified, but they knew it was not their place to say more.
After finishing their meal, Xavi and Bentley fled into their rooms without wasting another second.
Wilbur and Skyler chatted among themselves in their room every now and then, all the way until it was past ten at night.
The town was completely quiet then, with most of its residents having gone to sleep.
Just then, over ten cars pulled up in front of the inn. Around 40 people emerged from the cars, and all of them were armed with sticks and batons as they barged into the inn.
The innkeeper and the bellboy were scared out of their wits, hiding themselves at once.
The group of assailants completely destroyed the reception desk before heading toward Wilbur's room.
Wilbur looked over at Skyler. "Here's your chance to shine. Get them good." "I was just waiting for you to say that, Boss! I've wanted to take these bastards down for a while myself." Skyler got up and walked out of the room after that. He lit a cigarette, leaning against the wall as he smoked it.
Very soon, the group of people entered the hallway. They spotted Skyler, and a bald man shouted, "That's him! Beat him up!" The rest of the group charged over, brandishing their weapons.
Skyler flicked his wrist, and the cigarette shot out between his fingers with the smoking end aimed right at the bald man's eye.
The bald man cried out in agony, clutching his eye and falling over.
Skyler strode forward after that, cracking his knuckles. Following that ca relentless attack as Skyler rained a plethora of attacks at them, and the entire group was lying on the ground within a matter of minutes.
The bald man looked at Skyler in terror. Skyler seemed like a phantom to him. He could not even see a single punch that Skyler threw.
After all, Skyler was an Ambience level cultivator. It was far too easy to take down a group of regular people.
Just as the bald man was reeling in shock, Skyler walked up to him and broke one of his legs with a harsh stomp.
The bald man cried out in agony once again, his wails ringing through the hallway.
Skyler said, "At least take a better look at what you're dealing with before you do something this stupid. Go back and tell Felix about this. Let's see if he has the nerve to chere himself." Following that, Skyler turned back into the room. "Was that good enough, Boss?" "Pretty decent. That'll do, then," Wilbur replied. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Skyler shrugged. "That was hardly a challenge at all." Wilbur merely chuckled.
Just then, the bald man fled the scene along with the rest of the group, limping to their cars before they disappeared from sight.
The innkeeper and the bellboy could hardly believe their eyes.
Weren't those people from Felix's mine protection team? No one usually dared to mess with them, and there had been over 40 of them just now. How had they ended up in such a sorry state within minutes of going upstairs? The innkeeper and bellboy had just been worrying about whoever had offended Felix, but it seemed like Felix had met his match this time.
