I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 320

Chapter 320

Ephraim's mental attack was blocked by Mabel.

While both of them were Divine Masters, Ephraim cultivated under Barsm. Meanwhile, Mabel's mana was gathered from dark energy, which was much more refined and potent.

Ephraim was shocked.

When Jonathan's fist was caught by Ephraim, he twisted it and caused a spiral of electricity to explode from it.

Immediately, Ephraim detected the spiritual energy bursting out of Jonathan's fist. In response, he staggered three steps back.

Jonathan used Shadow Step to dash past Ephraim and charged straight toward the Great Sun Lama like a flash of lightning.

At that moment, the Great Sun Lama was still whipping the cacodemon. Cacodemon didn't have the strength to retaliate and was on the brink of death after being continuously struck by the Great Sun Lama's Divine Whip. That was something Jonathan wasn't going to allow happen.

Swiftly, Ryan and Richie prevented Jonathan from approaching the Great Sun Lama by blocking his path like iron walls.

“Get out of the way!” Jonathan roared and unleashed the power of his Haemocore. He tackled Richie like a ruthless wild bear, pushing the latter away like a raging tsunami.

With all his power unleashed, his strength was equivalent to the final stage of Celestial Soul, which was also the peak of physical strength.

Obviously, as only a final-stage Nascent Soul cultivator, Richie couldn't hold Jonathan back at all. At that moment, his only thought was backing away. Just as he darted backward, he pulled out a revolver and fired two rounds at Jonathan.

Jonathan was shocked, for he didn't expect Richie to possess a gun. Moreover, the latter's shots were accurate.

In that critical moment, he nimbly dodged the bullets.

Richie was aware of Jonathan's background and that the latter had connections with high-ranking officials in Chanaea, which was why he didn't shoot to kill.

Otherwise, with his and Ryan's shooting skills, they would've finished Jonathan off right there and then.

They aimed their revolvers at Jonathan, restricting him from doing anything reckless.

As for Ephraim, he was engaged in an intense battle with Mabel.

While Mabel had the advantage for the moment, it was impossible for her to defeat or subdue Ephraim within a short period of time.

If it weren't for the fact that Ephraim's blood blade was swallowed by the cacodemon, both Mabel and Jonathan would've died already.

A Divine Master's power lay in their ability to develop their brain and generate mana, not their physical strength. Mana-powered magical weapons were unbelievably mighty.

Without his blood blade, Ephraim was pretty weak in terms of actual combat. As a result, he was struggling to fend Mabel off.

Meanwhile, Jonathan was still stuck in a predicament after a few failed attempts of getting past the brothers, so he was getting anxious. Then, he suddenly backed away and arrived next to Mabel. Expeditiously, he sent a Rolling Thunder Punch toward Ephraim's throat to kill him. Once Mabel and I finish him off, we no longer need to fear Ryan and Riche!

Colors drained from Ephraim's countenance when he was faced with Mabel and Jonathan's combined attack.

Immediately, he fled backward.

While Jonathan and Mabel chased after him, Ryan and Richie came to his rescue.

A ferocious battle ensued. Both sides remained fearful and wary of their adversaries, but none of them could cause real harm to the other party.

It was impossible for Jonathan to face Ephraim alone because if the latter combined the power of his fist with spiritual energy, the former would not be able to take it. Thus, Mabel wouldn't let that happen.

Meanwhile, Ephraim wouldn't let Ryan and Richie battle against Mabel alone because they would lose.

However, Jonathan was just a cultivator, so Ryan and Richie could corner him with guns and combat power.

Thymion treated the matter of the cacodemon very seriously, which was why they sent their elites to handle it.

While Ryan and Richie were elites from the government, the Great Sun Lama and Ephraim were civilian elites who volunteered to help.

Jonathan couldn't save the cacodemon. Is the cacodemon going to be beaten to death by the Great Sun Lama? It's not doing good. It's covered in gashing wounds covered. That whip is such a powerful divine weapon! Even a being as tough as the cacodemon can't take it.

Just as the cacodemon was about to die, something strange happened again.

Its cells were mutating, and its wounds began to scab and fall.

The Great Sun Lama was taken aback to see that.

“Not good! This monster can heal its injuries!” Paling, he cracked his whip in the air and wrapped it around the cacodemon's neck.

“Die!” he roared, intending to pull the cacodemon's head off.

Suddenly, the cacodemon opened its red eyes in fury. It abruptly grabbed the Divine Whip and tried to snatch it from the Great Sun Lama.

“Let go, you monster!” he yelled before turning his wrist and gesturing a technique to summon the whip back with his fingers.

The Divine Whip flew out of the cacodemon's hands and returned to the Great Sun Lama.

A streak of black scab fell from the cacodemon's face. Its injuries had all completely healed because its body's cells had evolved again, granting it more power.

The cacodemon growled and pounced toward the Great Sun Lama with greater speed and agility.

On close inspection, its body size had shrunk.

It lunged wildly at the Great Sun Lama, swinging its huge claws.

His expression turned grim as he deftly avoided the cacodemon's attack.

When Jonathan and Mabel saw that the cacodemon was gaining the upper hand, they released a sigh of relief and joy.

On the other hand, Ryan, Richie, and Ephraim panicked.

With their current abilities, even if they tried to help, they wouldn't be of any assistance to the Great Sun Lama.

Back then, Jeff and Beatrix couldn't help Jonathan fight the Lone Demon Beast because the cacodemon was too quick and tough.

Neither rocket missiles nor the blood blade could harm the cacodemon. Thus, Ephraim and the Roper brothers' attacks would not do any harm to it, too.

In reality, even the Great Sun Lama couldn't harm the cacodemon without his Divine Whip.

However, at that moment, even with the Divine Whip, he could barely injure the cacodemon anymore.

Left with no other options, the Great Sun Lama chanted something.

The Divine Whip escaped his hand, zipped through the air, and restrained the cacodemon within the blink of an eye.

As it roared, it struggled to escape its binding.

To keep the cacodemon restricted, the whip expanded and contracted alternately according to the creature's changing size.

Jonathan's and Mabel's expressions darkened.

They could only watch the cacodemon struggle because Ephraim and the Roper brothers would stop them if they tried to help.

However, at that moment, the Great Sun Lama was the most anxious of them all. He could feel the formation within the Divine Whip fluctuating violently, as though it could lose control at any minute.

This cacodemon's strength is terrifying!

He then widened his eyes, emitting horrific light beams. “Look at me, monster!” he bellowed. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

His words compelled the cacodemon to stare into his eyes.

The moment they made eye contact, the cacodemon instantly felt as though it had fallen into a bottomless abyss.

He had essentially created a purgatory in its mind.

The cacodemon felt as if it was being tied to a metal beam within the cold and dark purgatory.

Moments later, it heard thunder crackling in the air before lightning struck him.

The cacodemon felt such excruciating pain that its body spasmed uncontrollably.

Soon, another lightning struck it, then another, and another.

It was an endless lightning storm.

The cacodemon howled in pain.

From Jonathan's and Mabel's perspective, they only saw the cacodemon pausing in its tracks and kneeling down before shrieking in agony.

While there weren't any injuries visible on its body, its screams were more intense compared to before.

It was because the brain was where the soul resided. If the brain thought the body was getting hurt,

then the pain receptors would react accordingly. If the brain thought death was near, then the physical body would become brain-dead as well.

That was why most people died from shock instead of impact when they jumped off a building.

Ephraim and the Roper brothers released a sigh of relief before focusing on preventing their enemies from disturbing the Great Sun Lama.

A cold look flashed past Mabel's eyes before she launched a mental attack on the Great Sun Lama.

It was an ultimate, invisible mental attack that even Ephraim didn't notice until it had been unleashed.

He was shocked by her sudden assault and immediately launched a similar attack toward her.

At the moment, Mabel was focusing all her mana on taking out the Great Sun Lama. Thus, she couldn't defend herself against Ephraim.

Since it was a mental attack, Jonathan could do nothing but watch.

Out of nowhere, Mabel felt immense pain assailing her brain. She stumbled backward and vomited a mouthful of blood. She then sat cross-legged on the ground.

It was necessary for her to calm down and heal the severe wound Ephraim inflicted on her mind. Otherwise, her life would be in danger.

Jonathan was surprised when he saw that.

Meanwhile, the Great Sun Lama was still concentrating on killing the cacodemon when Mabel's mental attack hit him.
