His Destructive, Toxic Love

Chapter 154

Casper offered her an extra million-wasn't that a given? Eliza wouldn't appreciate it anyway.

In Welton International, Casper sat by the large bay window, his gaze distant and lost, the cigarette in his fingers burning dangerously close to his skin.

Dillon knocked and entered, "Mr. Casper."

Casper finally stubbed out the untouched cigarette. "Is it ready?"

"The divorce agreement is drafted. As you requested, a villa in the southern district, twenty million in cash. Please, have a look." Dillon handed over the divorce papers to Casper. "Additionally, there's the matter of Rose's medical expenses. The hospital bills are nearing a million; this..."

"I'll cover those expenses until she recovers."

Dillon nodded. "Understood."

Eliza received the divorce papers. He hadn't given her much. He hadn't intended to give her much.

"That'll do."

He raised his hand, and Dillon quickly handed him a pen. Casper hesitated for a moment before he signed his name.

Dillon collected the papers. "Once Ms. Eliza is discharged, I'll take them for her signature."

"Leave it there. I'll give it to her myself." Casper lowered his head and lit another cigarette, but he didn't smoke it; he just held it between his fingers.

Dillon sealed the leather pouch and placed it on his desk. "Alright, Mr. Casper."

Casper held his phone, typing a message and then deleting it.

He was actually quite a dull person. Apart from work, it was just more work. He had lived so fully the past year solely because of vengeful obsession. He didn't know if it was for Nova or just revenge for the sake of revenge.

He typed out many messages and then erased them, wrote more, and then deleted them, and in the end, he

photo album. Most of the photo's were of him and his grandfather. They were candid shots taken by his secretary at home and in the hospital.

He had an album locked with a password, containing two photos.

One was his wedding photo with Eliza. She had on an old wedding dress that many had worn and was smiling happily, and Casper looked unhappy with a stiff expression. He clearly disliked this photo, yet he saved it in his album for some reason.

The other was a candid shot he took. In the photo, a girl wore a cap and a mask. Her ponytail was tied high, and she was smiling, her eyes shaped like crescents as she waved goodbye to him. He could no longer distinguish whether this girl was Nova or someone else. She was like an illusion. A character made up-someone who had once been inPublished by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

his world but had never existed.

Dillon left the office, running into Faithe. She grabbed him, cautiously probing, "How's Mr. Casper's mood? I won't be walking into a storm, will I?"

"Going through a divorce, no one's mood would be great." Dillon shook his head.

Faithe was stunned. He was going through a divorce? Was Casper divorcing Eliza? This was huge news.

"Really? Can I trust this news?"

"I drafted the divorce papers with the lawyer. Mr. Casper has already signed. He's just waiting for Eliza to sign, then they can file for divorce."

Faithe bit her lip, suppressing the ecstasy in her heart. "I see."

"I'll get back to my tasks then."

"Alright, Dillon."

Faithe, holding documents needing signatures, lingered at the door of the CEO's office for a while, then turned back to her desk and picked up the phone to make a call...
