Chapter 455 Never Fall For His Tricks.
Lysanne guided Tiffany towards this direction purposefully.
Tiffany was a little hesitated. “Lyss, Lysa seems to be discussing something there. Will we be disturbing them if we go over now?”
With a gentle smile on her face that didn’t quite reach her eyes, Lysanne said, “Of course not. Don’t you want to meet more people? It’s your birthday party tonight, and everyone who’s here came to wish you. well. Naturally, you should greet them too.”
“You’re right.” Tiffany, the innocent soul, agreed and sincerely followed along.
Lysander first swept her gaze backwards seeing how Lysanne suddenly pulled Tiffany over, but she did not spot Josiah.
She wasn’t sure why these two had come, but she had no interest in engaging in a conversation with them. Hence, she merely glanced at them indifferently, showing no additional reaction.
Lysanne was not aware and greeted them with a nod before turning to Whitney. “So it’s Ms. Spears. I wonder if you still remember me?”
Whitney’s train of thought was abruptly interrupted, so she was a little annoyed. However, she didn’t let her displeasure show, and still maintained some courtesy. She asked, “May I know who you are?”
“I am Lysanne Thome.”
Whitney immediately remembered her. “Oh, so it’s Ms. Thorne.”
Lysanne was slightly pleased. “Guerra Group has had some dealings with your investment company before. I must say Ms. Spears left quite an impression on me.”
Whitney snapped back from her melancholy and confusion. Then, she adhered to social etiquette, and complimented her, “Indeed, Ms. Thorne. You’ve become even more beautiful since the last time we met.”
Now, Lysanne found herself in an awkward position. It seemed that Whitney didn’t pay her much attention either.
This woman did nothing more than complimenting her looks.
This kind of praises were rather superficial, and somewhat perfunctory.
Lysanne suppressed her discontent, and gently guided Tiffany forward like a caring older sister. She said, “Ms. Spears, this is Ms. Lanister, I assume no introduction is needed? Tiffany, this is Ms. Spears, a well- known investment banking elite in the industry.”
“Hello, Ms. Spears.” Tiffany greeted Whitney shyly, her face tinged with a hint of bashfulness. She looked like a young girl who had yet to experience much of the world.
Gently, Whitney responded, “Hello, Ms. Lanister, happy birthday.”
“Thank you.”
Lysanne added, “Ms. Spears, you should be aware of the connection between Tiffany and Josiah, right?”

And so, Lysanne naturally assumed Tiffany’s role as the host, striking up a conversation with Whitney.
The way she spoke suggested a deep familiarity with Tiffany. It was as if she had already assumed the role of making decisions on her behalf.
Daphne found Lysanne’s behavior unbearable, and rolled her eyes towards the ceiling without a word.
In the meantime. Whitney found herself unable to break away from Lysaline in a short period of time.
“Her attitude was rather decent today. Let’s find another opportunity to invite her out next time.”
Daphne reluctantly nodded her head.
After resting for a bit, Tiffany managed to regain some composure. Her gaze shifted, and she noticed Lysander.
After encountering someone she was relatively familiar with, her mood instantly brightened considerably. She politely greeted them, “Lysa, Daphne, thank you for coming to my birthday party.”
Together, Lysander and Daphne offered their sincere yet simple blessing. “Happy birthday.”
“Thank you. Tiffany replied with a sweet smile. She remembered her role for the day, and took the initiative to introduce herself, “Lyss has already been helping me to get to know everyone. Although I’m not familiar with all of you yet, I will definitely make an effort to socialize and aim to assist Jose in the future.”
These words were clearly taught to her by Lysanne.
Lysander’s eyes lowered, and she was unable to contain herself that she offered Tiffany a piece of advice, “Ms. Lanister, perhaps you should seek Josiah’s opinion on this matter.”
Tiffany had clearly never given this issue much thought. After pondering for a while, she still responded. casually. “I understand that you mean well. You want to tell me that Lyss and Jose had a past, but they’ve already let go of it. So, I think I should be magnanimous too.”
Lysander was concerned that this was another “lesson” from Lysanne, so she gently suggested, “Actually, this isn’t something you should worry about. It’s an issue a man should resolve before getting married.”
Daphne was standing by the side nodded her head in agreement. She chimed in, “Absolutely, you’re young. You mustn’t fall for an older man’s tricks.”
“Jose is only eight years older than me,” Tiffany said seriously while batting her large eyes. “And I truly believe that he has let go of the past.”
Daphne, known for her bluntness, couldn’t help but interject, “If Josiah is trustworthy, then pigs might fly. Don’t be fooled by his presentable Appearance. In fact, he’s nothing but a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He was once incredibly tender and considerate to his ex–wife, but it turned out to be all an act.”
“Ex–wife?” Tiffany was utterly confused, and asked ifi disarray, “Was he previously married to Lyss?”
The fact that Lysander had once been married to Josiah was never widely publicized. Therefore, Tiffany was naturally unaware of it as she had always lived in seclusion since childhood.
Daphne realized she had misspoken, and hastily tried to steer the conversation away before Tiffany could discover the truth. That’s not the point. The point hat men can’t be relied upon. In a blink of an eye,

they might get involved with other women-”
Her words abruptly ceased when she noticed another figure suddenly appearing on the side.
Josiah had somehow managed to approach them unnoticed. His footsteps were so light that no one had paid any attention until he had
“Ms. Spears, I owe your compioned himself next to Tiffany. He turned to Whitney, and greeted her.
“Ms. Spears, I owe your company a lot for handling the accounts for our last project. It really saved me a lot of trouble.”
