Chapter 45.
Throughout the night, Vanessa kept thinking about Xavier. She couldn’t get him off her mind.
She wondered the sort of stupidity that came over Lilian that she would be misbehaving towards a caring man like Xavier. A type of man every woman desires to have.
While laid on her bed, she began recalling the past. The first day she set her eyes on him… and how nice she had been since then.
Anyways, not that she’s being jealous of Xavier having a fiance, but she can’t tell what’s wrong with her feelings.
She was already convinced that Xavier will never leave his fiance to her no matter what. Despite the fact he hasn’t been on good terms with Lilian, that won’t urge him to choose her between Lilian.
They are already in love with each other even before she began working for him, and so she believes that nothing can cut that bond.
She has nothing binding her with Xavier, and here is Lilian making different plots for her. Then when her thinking comes to reality… only God knows the hell she will do to her.
She covered herself with the blanket and slept off.

When Xavier arrived home that same night, he went straight to the bathroom to freshen up. He had thought about how easy it was for Nessa to cuddle his children in bed.
He’s so sure that Chloe is the only one who loves her. Tracy and Ben will never love to set their eyes on her no matter what.
All through Vanessa’s stay in his home as a worker, she hasn’t been welcomed by anyone else warmly if not him and Chloe.
But then to get her going into their rooms to cover them is one new thing he can’t tell how it started.
Since he wasn’t able to tell what’s going on, he freshened up so quickly in order to go to bed.
To be precise, he can’t wait to set his eyes again on her in the morning. Taking a good look at her does a great job in his body system.
He had convinced himself several times that there’s something different about Vanessa to other women… and that’s one thing he can’t explain.
Deep in thought, he wasn’t aware when he dozed off.

The children ran Helter skelter in order to get ready for school. Chloe was still asleep in her room.
Tracy didn’t bother waking her up because she was so busy, and so is Ben. She had left her to be handled by her babysitter.
She was so out to prepare their breakfast first before their lunch, and then Ben was so busy with cleaning up everywhere.
Even though she was damn busy, she kept contemplating on the time she spent with the babysitter the past night… the way she slept off for the first time since her mom departed.
Her lips stretched into a wide smile. Now she believes that Vanessa is so kind to them… she is the best just like Chloe had always said.
She was busy washing the plates when a voice called her out. She turned towards the door post to see that it’s Vanessa calling her out.
The smiles on her face were so magnetic that she couldn’t help but return it.
“Good morning ma’am Vanessa.” She greeted her.
Vanessa smiled walking towards her. “Good morning dear, I’m sure you slept well right?”
Tracy nodded. “I did, for the first time after my mum departed I slept like a baby.”
That alone made Nessa so happy. “Are you done with breakfast?” She moved beside her.
“Yes, I’m just getting the other ready for our lunch.” She replied.
She nodded. “You know what, go get ready for school and make sure you wake Chloe because I’m so sure she’s still asleep. You all should take your shower while I get other things ready.”
Happiness filled Tracy’s heart on hearing that, she acceded and dashed out of the kitchen immediately to the stairs since Ben was done with his cleaning.
She got to Chloe’s room to see her brushing her teeth.
“I thought you’re still sleeping.” She referred to her.
Chloe hissed. “I already know how to brush my teeth and take my bath. So I don’t need to wait for her again.” She began brushing again.
She went straight to get her school uniform ready. “I’ll bathe you today. It was an order from your babysitter so she can prepare our meal.”
Chloe turned fully to stare at her sister. “Huh! When did you start obeying my babysitter? Did she use a spell on you?”
She nodded. “Maybe she did. The love, care and attention had meant a lot to me. I am now a lover of her.”
Chloe twisted her lips and sniffed, that’s so incredible to her. She knows so well that her siblings are always ready to criticize her babysitter for no genuine reason.
“You’ll have to watch me bathe myself, I can wash my back but she always does that because my hand is still short.” Chloe explained.
Tracy acceded and watched her remove her clothes, and then she began taking her bath.
She was so excited to see her little sister taking care of herself. “You learned other things huh?”This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
“Yes I did, I can arrange and clean my room. One thing remaining is to wash my clothes.” She replied while the water ran down her back.
Tracy was damn happy. “Next, you’ll learn how to wash dishes. And you’ll be helping me in the kitchen right?”
She wiped her face so she could take a good look at her sister. “Yes, but I’ll always eat some chicken in order to calm my nerves.”
Tracy let out a loud laugh, she wondered about the sort of tricky sister she has.
“It’s okay then, and you won’t eat any when the meal is served.”
“Then I won’t cook with you.” Chloe remarked.
Tracy couldn’t hold her laughter. “Come on Chloe, you need to learn how to cook too. That’s what every female must know.”
Chloe didn’t say a word again until she was done with taking her shower. Then Tracy left to get ready too.

While Vanessa was busy serving their meal on the dining table, she sighted Lilian moving towards the stairs.
She had glared at her like it would eat her up, and then looked off to the stairs.
She only left back to the kitchen so as to go ahead with what she’s doing. There’s no time left for her anymore.
Lilian rang Xavier’s doorbell, and he ordered her into thinking it’s Vanessa. But to his greatest shock… Lilian walked in.
He stood on his feet with a chiseled face. He wasn’t planning to see her, and not in the morning either.
“Good morning Xavier.” She greeted him.
He only nodded. “What again are you here to do Lilian? Thought you’ve gotten a new lover out there that’s taking care of you?”
She pouted her lips. “Don’t tell me you’re trying to kick me out of your house. Or you’ve chosen someone else over me huh?”
“You shut your fucking mouth. I should be asking you that… you left without telling me all because I scolded you for the crime you committed. And here you’re jabbering.” He retorted.
She gasped. “You still can’t believe that I know nothing about Vanessa’s disappearance huh? Look, I just had to leave because you’re molesting me.”
“Please Vanessa… sorry I mean Lilian. This is early morning so I wouldn’t love to argue with you okay.” He said moving to his wardrobe.
Lilian bit her lips in dismay, she wouldn’t believe Xavier is mistaking her name to that of her mere worker.
She isn’t here to yell at anyone, rather to be accepted by him again. Watching another woman take him away from her is one thing she can’t take.
“Xavier, can you please forgive me for everything. I’m sorry and have decided to change.” She pleaded.
Xavier turned to her. “Now you admit that you know everything about her disappearance right?”
Lilian didn’t say a word. “Let’s just call everything the past. Just forgive me okay.”
He turned to her fully. “Who’s the young man I saw you with in a resort yesterday?”
Lilian let her lips open, that question alone caused goose pimples on her skin.
She still can’t believe that Xavier is the one asking that question.
“I don’t get what you mean Xavier. Can you just explain more on this?”
She tried holding up.
Xavier stood opposite her. “Stop pretending that you don’t know what I’m talking about Lilian. I caught you with my own two eyes and that’s the reason I’m shocked to see you here today… Who’s that young man?”
Her feet stiffened at a place, her mouth was agape but she couldn’t say a word again.
All she wants is his forgiveness, not a question to answer.
“I am talking to you Lilian and I need an answer. Who is that young man?” His voice echoed in the room again.
