Devoted To You

Chapter 28 After three years, he was so close to her for the first time

It was clear that she had put his company in a difficult position, but why was she still unhappy?

Susan had asked herself on the way here, but no one had told her exactly why that was.

“You should be happy.” Alex reminded her.

Susan sat down feebly, rubbed her head, and said mournfully, “Yes, I should be happy.”

But she wasn’t happy, instead, she was a little annoyed.

Alex understood and watched quietly as she agonized over the situation.

Susan rubbed her head, and then looked at the bruised and battered Alex next to her, and only then did she remember what she had come for.

Looking at these bruises on his face, she touched down and asked, “Are you okay here, what did the doctor say? ”

“Just recuperate well …”

He didn’t dodge it, he just hissed softly when she touched it. Susan froze for a moment and then quickly withdrew her hand.

“I’m sorry.” She didn’t look too good either.

Alex, however, understood and did not say anything.

The room was silent for a moment, Susan suddenly said, “You’d better talk to him, after all, he is your father.”

Alex heard the words, there was a flash of hostility under his eyes.

Susan saw the situation and closed her mouth, looking at the sky outside, so she took her things and said softly, “I’ll leave now if there’s nothing else, it’s too late I’m afraid something will happen.”

He nodded and said flatly, “I’ll send you back.”

Susan shook her head, “No need, I can go back by myself.”

“I’ll take you back, it’s idle anyway.” He stood up, did not change his clothes, and directly took the keys out of the drawer.

Susan was silent for a moment before she slowly followed him, asking tentatively, “Why don’t you go ahead and ease the relationship there, I can just go back by myself.”

“It’s okay.” He said without turning his head, not feeling anything about his father.

She bowed her head and followed him out of the hospital’s gate.

Alex went towards the garage, she stood still, thought for a while, and got into a cab on the side of the road.

After reporting the location, she sent a text message to Alex before turning her phone off.

She didn’t care what his mood was, Susan just felt that she had done enough to get to this point.

As for other things, they are no longer relevant to her.

Susan looked out of the window a passing view, the heart has a feeling.

The car arrived there, and the driver in front of her kindly reminded her, Susan returned to her senses, took out the money from the bag, and handed it over.

The phone was accidentally opened by her and there was nothing, no phone calls or text messages. She was relieved and thought she was overthinking it.

When she returned to her newly rented place, tiredness invaded her. She walked into the hallway breathlessly, and then a familiar embrace flung towards her.

Susan didn’t have time to react, her back was already against the wall and she was confined in the arms of someone.

She looked at the person in front of her and said unhappily, “You …”

He lowered his head and kissed her, his tongue easily breaking through her teeth and directly taking advantage of her.

Susan saw the person in front of her, her face turned red, not sure if she was angry, or because she was shy.

She opened her eyes and tried to push him away, but it provoked his breath even more. The last thing she could not do was hammer him with her fists.

Chandler, however, did not care, and grabbed her hand and placed it on his chest. The gradually increasing strength made her stop and did not struggle anymore.

In the half-light, half-dark alleyway entrance, the two people embraced together, and no one came to disturb.

It was only when she was almost out of breath that Chandler released her. Looking at her flushed face and confused eyes, he couldn’t help but take her in his arms.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

After three years, he was so close to her for the first time.

The two of them felt each other’s heartbeat, Susan finally took a breath, looked at the person in front of her, and then thought about what had just happened.

She raised her hand and left a bright red mark on his face.

Susan’s face was red, and her eyes glared at the man in front of her. She watched him laugh and almost gritted her teeth.

“What are you laughing at, what’s so funny?!” Susan questioned in a cold voice.

But the man in front of her, still smiling, that smile stung her eyes.

Seeing that he didn’t say anything, Susan coldly hummed and turned around to leave the place.

Chandler pulled her back and said sincerely, “I’m sorry.”

“I’m sorry?” She looked back at the man as if she had heard a big joke, not understanding what he was thinking.

Looking at his humble way, Susan couldn’t help the anger in her heart, “Apologize? Why did Mr. Walker apologize to me?”

“I know you won’t forgive me …” before he could finish, he heard Susan’s sharp cold laugh. Her sarcastic words were like a knife that wanted to poke several holes in him.
