Chapter 1184: Returning Slowly (2)
It’s not dinner time yet, it’s still early.
Adam also sat on the couch and watched the two children fiddling with the adult Lego, pointing every now and then.
As Paulita put the pieces together, she ran over and sat on Adam’s lap, lazily pushing the Lego into Adam’s hands and asking him to help her put it together.
“Daddy, my hands hurt, can you help me put this Lego bag together!”
Adam just smiled warmly, “Lego is what you want to put together, on a whim, ah, put together some bags and then you don’t want to put it together?”
“What do you mean by a heartbeat?”
“Three hot spots.” Adam said this but assumed the part Paulita had half-spelled and continued spelling.
Paulita winked and laughed cheekily, “I don’t have a soft spot in my heart for daddy!”.
Adam laughed at his little mistress and was coaxed into smiling, “You’ve had too much strawberry shortcake today, your little mouth is so sweet. Tell me, what do you want daddy to buy you again?”.
Paulita put her little hand over her little mouth and said with ridiculously arched eyes, “Daddy, I want the telescope to see the stars.”
It’s the astronomical telescope.
“Yes, buy it.” Adam agreed with alacrity.
“Dad, when are we leaving?”
Adam said as he helped Paulita assemble the Lego in his hands, “After lunch, this afternoon Daddy will show you the counter and you can pick it out yourself.”
Paulita threw her arms around Adam’s neck and gave her daddy a kiss on the cheek, “Thank you, Daddy!”.
Micaela watched the heartwarming scene and said to Estrella with a smile, “Adam is very affectionate with his children, Paulita buys him everything he likes to play with.”
Estrella said, “Yes, children are like little angels, always wanting to give them the best, and when you and Nico have a child, you will be willing to give him anything as long as it is good. By the way, how have you and Nico been doing?”
“We agreed that for the time being, we would get along as normal friends first, and that after that, there’s no rush.”
Adam hadn’t been talking to them, but when he heard Micaela’s “The day will come,” he couldn’t help but scoff, “Can you be patient for the day, will that Nico guy let you?”
As soon as Adam spoke, the sound of a car engine came from the courtyard of The Villas at Repulse Bay.
Adam had a melon look on his face, “Speak of the devil, see, I told you it was time for red rain to fall from the sky if this guy could have anything like patience.”
Nico stepped out of a long-legged silver-gray Bugatti.
Inside the house, Estrella leaned close to Micaela and let out a laugh, “Someone’s in a hurry to get warm.”Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
Micaela raised an eyebrow, “People who eat hot tofu get burned nine times out of ten.”
Adam pulled Paulita off his lap and stood up, “They’re all here too, let’s eat!”.
The two children also raised their little hands and said they were hungry.
Estrella said, “I will go to the kitchen and have the cook serve.”
Micaela then took the two children to wash their hands.
Nico looks for Micaela as soon as he enters the house and sees Micaela at the sink squeezing hand sanitizer for the two children and helping them roll up their sleeves.
Paulita smiled sweetly at Micaela, like a mother and daughter, and winked at her, “Aunt Micaela, would you like to come over more often, I know you play the piano very well, I’m learning too, can we talk more?”
“Great, Paulita is so good, she can play the piano at seven years old…”
Paulita said proudly with her little chin up, “My teacher says Paulita is the most talented little girl she has ever met and she could be a pianist in the future, Aunt Micaela, maybe you will ask me to sign an autograph for you!”
“Really, Paulita is amazing, then Paulita should give Tia Micaela tickets to her concerts when she becomes a pianist in the future. ”
“Okay, it’s a deal! Later, after dinner, Aunt Micaela will spar with me, okay?”
Micaela smiled and consented, “Sure, a sparring match is a sparring match, no need to cry for the loser.”
Paulita growled, “Who cries is a puppy.”
The images are warm and discreet.
Nico burst out and said in a nasty tone, “Fu, your daughter has a mother, why is that shitty kid of yours always picking on our Micaela?”
Adam slowly straightened up the twins, “Micaela is Paulita’s godmother, it’s normal for Paulita to cling to her, but you, what about your Micaela, the name is not correct, what proof do you have that Micaela is from your family?”
“…”
Hiss-
Nico wanted to rip Adam’s mouth off, “Can you speak human, shut up if you can’t?”.
Adam raised an eyebrow and said, “I just heard Micaela say that people who eat hot tofu get burned nine times out of ten, so calm down, Micaela is not a cabbage like Estrella, you have to wear gloves when you pick up a hot potato. ”
“How can someone like you who arches a small cabbage understand the thrill of climbing Mt. Everest. It’s a snow mountain and I’ve warmed it up.”
Adam gave her a thumbs up, expressionless, “Outstanding.”
Soon after, Micaela came out after washing her hands with the two children.
Nico walked over and pulled Paulita aside, “Go, go, go, go find your own mother, I’ll hold if you go to the airport and identify your mother, what about your father?”.
Paulita nodded and wrinkled her little eyebrow, “Uncle Nico, do you have any sense, fighting with a child for a favor?”.
“You’re just like your father. If I don’t watch out for you, you could have Micaela tomorrow. ”
Micaela looked at Nico with an impatient face and said amused, “Nico, Paulita is only a seven year old, are you exaggerating?”
Nico put his arm around Micaela and approached the table, “Don’t let her fool you, she’s just trying to trick you into mothering her with that pretty face. I’ve seen this kind of children many times.”
Paulita looks at Nico: “I have a mother! Ha! You have to stop belittling me in front of Aunt Micaela!”.
And she buzzes.
Nico: “You’re the only one who can hum, hum, hum! I can do it too. Go, go sit with your own mother.”
Paulita was sent to sit on the other side of the room, looking at Nico with indignation.
Nico sat down next to Micaela and just stared at Paulita with wide, dry eyes, not letting anyone escape.
Paulita said, “If I didn’t have Estrella, how would Aunt Micaela be with a stinky guy like you. She only smells good with my father.”
“You called me a smelly uncle, do you know the law of true fragrance, brat.”
“Hmph, you’re the big brat, I’m seven years old, no calling me a brat, this is my house!”
Paulita was very poised, very self-possessed, but Nico was not one to bow down under a roof and said arrogantly, “Seven years old? Do you know how old your uncle is? He’s the same age as your father, so you have to respect him as much as your father, understand?”.
Paulita gave an inexpressive “Oh,” “I know how to respect the old and love the young.”
Respect for the old and love for the young.
“Who are you calling old?” Nico gritted his teeth.
Adam stroked his daughter’s little head, “Yes, you have to respect the old and the young, especially with this grumpy, wifeless Uncle Nico, who is already poor without a wife, so you have to be considerate.”
Nico grabbed a handful of crates and slammed them into Adam’s arms, “Who’s talking about not having a wife?”
