Chapter 26
Trista’s point of view
When I opened my eyes again, I was chained to a chair with some filthy old material strewn about me. It appeared to be an abandoned fabric warehouse.
A group of men sat around a square table to play cards. When they heard, they raised their heads and looked about.
I sought to free myself from the rope that was tied behind me. I reflexively shrank back when I saw them approaching, but the rope around my hands and feet was tightly bound.
“What is your name?”
Why did you keep me here all this time?
They put on masks and appear ferocious. One of them extended his hand and lifted my chin. “It looks good.”
They don’t want to harm me in any way.
“It’s no surprise Donald will like you.” The kidnapper lifted my chin and peered.
“Don’t worry, my brothers will never humiliate you as long as your man is prepared to let us live.”
My man?
I paused for a moment to reflect. Do you mean Donald?
“You mistook….”
Misunderstood!
Donald and I are ordinary relations! We met less than ten times!
“We’re going to call Donald right now. Inform him of your position and allow him to assist us!” The man increased his strength, and I felt that he was ready to pinch my chin broken.
My phone was brought by an accomplice. When the kidnapper clicked it, he discovered a password lock. Then he put my finger on the home key to unlock it, opened the address book, and discovered “Donald’s” contact information!
When the phone was dialed, the room fell silent, and everyone held their breath waiting for the outcome.
Will Donald respond? Will he look for me if he discovers I’m missing?
“Sorry, the number you phoned is now in use; please redial later….”
With the chilling reminder from the phone, the kidnapper was unable to hang up and called several times more. Donald, on the other hand, was always on the phone. The kidnapper reprimanded me violently, grasped my chin hand, and tried once more “Is he always so occupied? He’s unconcerned about your life or death?”
“Pain,” he nearly broke my chin.
“Why don’t we look for someone else first, boss?” A younger brother proposed it.
“Others?”
“If Donald doesn’t pick up the phone, we’ll need to pay a particular fare to getaway…. This lady is Leonard’s daughter, the eldest lady of the moon group! Isn’t it wiser to take the chance to make a profit just in case?”
The kidnapper paused for a bit and smiled, “Okay, you were enlightened? Simply follow your instructions! Call her family!”
“Hey, big brother….” I want to inform them that my family doesn’t care about my life or death.
The kidnappers had yelled angrily, “Shut up!”
I carefully closed my mouth.
“I found it, boss. It says ‘Dad.’ Leonard should be the one. That’s correct.” A kidnapper discovered a target in the address book.
“Call!” The kidnapper, who was led by, gladly commanded.
After dialing the phone…. it was connected within a few seconds.
“Trista, are you ready? You have no right to call!” The mobile phone emitted a ferocious female voice. I knew it was Fanny as soon as I heard it!
The abductor pressed a short knife against my face and urged me to cooperate obediently, or he would cut multiple knives into my face!
All I can say is, “Is my father present? I’d like to speak with him about something.”
“Will you be conscious that you have a father? Isn’t it arrogant right now?”
The kidnapper gave me a wink and signaled for me. “I was kidnapped….” was the only thing I could say.
“Kidnapping?” Fanny was taken aback. “What exactly are you doing? Don’t expect your father to be concerned about you!”
“I was really Kidnapped….”
“Really?” Fanny was taken aback. “Heaven’s got eyes! Finally, it’s your turn to get rewarded! Trista, I didn’t think you’d have today!”
When the kidnappers heard this, they were all taken aback.
The kidnapper seized the phone and asked, “Who the hell are you?”
“I’m her mother!” she exclaims.
“Listen, your daughter is in my grasp right now. If you know the truth, prepare 10 million dollars and deposit it where I specify by 4 p. m., otherwise….”
“Isn’t it true that you’re the kidnapper? Tie her up right away! Yes, indeed! The body should be cleaned up and buried as far away from here as possible!
The kidnappers were stunned.
“Trista, pay close attention. Someone is now willing to enslave you. You should express gratitude to them. You should repay them with your body. e are concerned about the group’s inheritance rights.!” Fanny sounded overjoyed. ” Mr. kidnapper. We were concerned that she would return to rob the fortune. Now, you can eliminate all our worries. You must see to it that she dies. The more tragically she dies, the better! Mr. kidnapper, please!”
After then, she hung up the phone.
“…. What really is the situation?” The kidnapper looked at his phone, then at me, and said, “hmm…. We only want a small sum of money and will not harm you…. Your mother is cruel enough to disregard your safety….”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
He couldn’t help but murmur when the kidnapper said this “Why are the wealthy so frugal? Don’t care about their daughter’s life?”
Although I don’t care what Fanny said in everyday life, hearing such comments at this important juncture makes me a bit uneasy.
This is my clan. Even though I’ve been alive for over ten years, I have no interest in anything!
“What should I do now, boss?” The younger brother inquired, a little nervously.
“Call Donald once more!”
There is no other option now!
“Boss, it’s still on the phone….” stated a younger brother as he dialed the phone.
“What’s the problem?” The kidnapper was agitated and irritable as he went about “What is the meaning of this kidnapping? What will others think of us as a gangster! Call again”
After a few phone conversations, the younger brother returned frustrated. “Why don’t we find someone else, boss? She is the swift family’s eldest girl. Should her buddies be well-off?”
“Her family doesn’t care if she lives or dies, and her pals fart!”
Suddenly, the younger brother yelled, “my boss! Look! She has a sibling!”
I don’t have a brother
I instantly remembered the name: brother Emos.
When I was a kid, Emos was like a big brother to me. Because he was a year older than me, I constantly added the term “brother” to his remarks to appear more amicable.
