“What must I do to save Bella from pains? I should call Theo.”

I brought out my phone in a hurry to dial his number and he answered the call saying, “Why are you disturbing me at work with your calls, this is so irresponsible of you Kyle.” He said.

“Oh save the teaches for later, your adopted sister is in a big mess.” I wondered why he was laughing this hard or has he forgotten about our last decision concerning Bella.

“I can see you called me to crack jokes, I’m the only son and child of the Walcott family, so why did you call?” He asked.

“I wish I’m there right now, I would have placed a knock on your silly head, you forgot the discussion, right? I’m talking of Bella you finally agreed to tell your mom about learning to makeup, the maid.”

“Oh, I almost forgot, what happened to her? Did you get her pregnant?” He threw a foolish question at me on the phone call.

“You silly, she Is in a big mess, I forgot to replace mom’s special plate she broke, you know your mom’s and my mom’s old custom of disciplining maids in the house, she is about going through that.”

“Oh shit, these ladies, let’s quickly stop her. I adopted her yesterday with my mouth, we BS are the ones who stand by our words and protect who we choose, will meet you at the house in five,” He said before ending the call.

I rushed out of the office, postponing all-important meetings and zooming off with speed to the house.

I overheard mom then I dashed in and said, “No, she is innocent, I broke it.” I had to control the way I was breathing so it won’t look like I left work just to stand for her, I know my mom so well.

Then Theo came in immediately and contributed saying, “You silly, can’t you remember we broke it together out of carelessness.”

I decided to play along with Theo, “Oh yes, you know I never wanted to include you in my mess, we are truly the BS.” We hugged ourselves.

“Do you think am joking here?” Mom yelled and we unlock from the hug.

“Ma I’m deeply sorry, we were bored at home so we just played hide and seek while acting as kids we mistakenly broke the plate, we knew the maids won’t tell on us so they shifted the blame to Bella oh sorry this very maid.” Theo added and the maids looked so confused.

How can he be so dumb to mention her name but luckily he changed the words, I continue acting as I dramatise my expressions, “Oh sweet mother, we don’t mean to get you so pissed, forgive your sons.”

At my room, Theo and I were laughing seriously and praising ourselves for a good job.

“I don’t think I can return to work, what about you?” Theo said laying on the bed.

“Same here, why don’t we plan dinner with Bella and her friend?”

“Don’t tell me another maid from here will be added, I shouldn’t have agreed to this.” He added.

I knock him on his head as he complained in pains, “I have been wanting to do this since on the call earlier today, now I believe you can reason well, Bella is a maid doesn’t mean she is from the palace of maids okay.”

“Okay fine, you won but I still owe you a knock I will be giving you soon enough.”

“Till then, our secret hideout will be the best place, so take out the planning and make a selection of good meal and I will bring them myself.”

“Sir I don’t know how to thank you and sir Theo for today,” She said in a cool tone.

“Sure, I will extend your thanks to Theo but words are not enough to thank me you know.” I decided to scare her.

“What then can I thank you with?” She asked.

“It’s very simple dear, a sleepover for night duties, exactly 11 pm come to my room without being seen.”

She became uneasy by my request, I started laughing letting her know I wasn’t serious with all I said and I am a gentleman.

“Oh thank you, sir, I so much appreciate.”

“There you go again with the sir. If you want me to accept your thanks, I want to take you and your friend for dinner from 5 pm tonight, what do you say?”

“I would love to but I will still be working by then.” She responded.

“Oh that’s no big deal, you are done for today, just be at your friend’s place since am not yet worthy to visit your home, 5 pm I will be coming and don’t keep me waiting.”

She nodded giving me her genuine smile that can make my day.

“I think it’s high time I get your contacts so I can call to remind you.” I requested.

“I’m sorry sir but I don’t have a phone, but won’t let you down, I will be at my friend’s place before the time.”

I can’t believe she doesn’t have a phone or is it that I’m not still worthy to get her contacts.

“Just tell me you don’t want me to have your contact yet instead of lying.”

“I’m saying the truth, I have never used a phone, I was planning to get one soon”

Oh, an adult that doesn’t use a phone, 99% of ladies of this age have a phone, I think I need to get her one.

My boss Kyle was around, he opened the door as usual so I sat at the front with him and Lisa too sat at the back and he zoomed off.

Getting to the place, I would use perfect for the home I’m seeing in front of me, it looks like a simple palace, I wish this was my home.

He directed us to sit at the dining saying his friend will be here soon.

“Lisa please let me steal your friend for some minutes before we have dinner,” he asked for Lisa’s permission.

“Sure, you can even steal and never return”

We left the dining.

“I will be quick, I just want to present these two gifts to you Bella” He handed me an envelope and a fancy bag.

I opened the fancy bag first, I was holding an iPhone 12 max, I screamed in excitement and restrain myself from hugging him which he understood.

I wondered what was in the envelope, I opened it and saw a letter from Mrs Walcott home asking me to see her this Friday at a restaurant.

I got a letter from my mentor, indeed Kyle is my everything, I couldn’t resist hugging him and I thanked him, he wiped off the tears from my eyes.

“Bella I want to let you know that I’m in….”

We heard a loud argument from Lisa and Sir Theo, we rushed there seeing Lisa dragging Theo’s ear and they swear at each other.

“You don’t just flirt with girls at the club but break into people’s homes.” Lisa yelled.

If she knew Theo is Kyle’s friend she would go on her knees and start pleading.

Kyle and I couldn’t stop laughing but we had to stop them.
