CHAPTER FORTY
Tamara’s FEET instantly went limp as he read the contents of the document that had just been handed over to her. She cried at once, it was true. Hana’s child is David’s son, not Adriel’s, and Tamara knows why his children lie, they just wanted to get rid of Hana in the first place. And the documents he held became the final evidence for her.
Jeffran even kneeled to apologize to Hana, because he felt incompetent to take care of his two sons, his own flesh and blood. Even though he himself applied for a DNA test in the first place, this is a punishment for his family. His fault was also immediately marrying Hana to Adriel, his two children really had this all planned behind his back.
“Mommy and Daddy have seen the results, which means the story Rita told me is true. Mommy and Daddy must know it too.” Hana looked down at the sleeping baby.
“Then? Are you really going to part with Adriel? He’d be crazy if you really left him, he even trembled when he told mommy everything, he really didn’t want to part with you.” Tamara said in a trembling voice, “mommy apologizes for all this, mommy please don’t divorce Adriel.”
“But we can’t sacrifice David’s feelings either, because it’s his son.” Jeffran interrupted, he was now also thinking about David’s feelings for the second child, after all it was David’s son and Hana’s.Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
“Therefore, I will still divorce Adriel. I will not stay at your house anymore, I have contacted Mama. Mommy please persuade Adriel to sign the divorce documents, it will not happen if Adriel doesn’t agree.”
It was a little quiet there, even though there were a few people passing by in the hospital hallway. On the other hand Tamara and Jeffran don’t want Hana to separate, but on the other hand they also think about David’s situation, so why do they only ask Hana? Isn’t that too selfish for both of them? It was like that from the start. All the Vikrama family cornered Hana too much.
“I know it’s difficult, but I’ve thought it through mom, I’m sorry.” Hana continued with her head lowered, she kissed the baby’s cheek softly.
“Mommy can persuade Adriel, sorry Mommy forced you. But, can you come to Adriel’s trial tomorrow, represent Mommy to attend. Mommy needs to keep David here.” Tamara’s final break up, never mind. “But, let us give severance pay every month later, after all he is our grandson. Our responsibility.”
“But Mom it’s…”
“There’s no denying this, mommy really apologizes to you. And thanks for all this time.” Tamara hugged Hana’s body slowly, he again cried on Hana’s shoulder which was slightly shaking.
“Sorry , Mommy.”
“No mom, I should be the one apologizing.”
The final hammer has rung, the judge’s final verdict is unanimous. On the right side of the courtroom, Adriel with one attorney only accepted the verdict gracefully. While on the left side there is one lawyer without Vania there, because she is still in treatment.
Adriel was sentenced to three years of probation on the charges he received. While Vania will be locked up for five years, even though Jeffran doesn’t accept it all, because after all he has injured three people at once.
With their hands tied in front, Adriel and two cops guarded her behind. Right when Adriel came out of the courtroom the reporters immediately surrounded him, questions such as the reason Adriel did it kept coming out but Adriel couldn’t help but keep silent.
On the other hand Hana is also inseparable from the reporters, fortunately she failed to bring the baby to come with her. It’s just that the questions asked of her are slightly different, only one. Is it true that she is the wife of Adriel Vikrama?
Jeffran and the driver who drove them tried to protect Hana who could only look down because she was a little afraid of the reporters who surrounded her, the camera flash that kept on highlighting her made her very uncomfortable, so Hana could breathe a sigh of relief when she managed to enter the car with Jeffran and of course the Vikrama family’s private chauffeur. Mr. Adi.
“We’re going to the hospital.” Jeffran orders the driver, he must immediately notify his wife directly that Adriel will receive a three-year prison sentence.
Hana’s eyes were now on the prisoners’ bus which was now starting to move to the prison house which was south of the city center, quite far considering it was a home for criminals. From one of the bus windows, Hana could see Adriel’s expression, which looked gloomy. There was a little pity in his heart, but Hana tried to be strong, he wouldn’t be weak just because Adriel put on an expression like that.
“Hana are you okay?” Jeffran touched Hana’s shoulder making her realize, Hana smiled a little.
“I’m okay dad.” Hana looked out the window again to enjoy the city atmosphere, or rather saw the bus carrying Adriel was getting further and further away from the car he was driving.
“Hana.” Called Jeffran once again, but this time something was odd. With his head drooping weakly down Jeffran looked at his cellphone which was on and there was an incoming call there.
“Daddy why? Is something wrong?” Hana asked quite worriedly.
“Mommy wants to talk to you.” Jeffran gave his cell phone, just as Hana took it. Jeffran’s hands immediately clasped tightly asking God to pray if Hana could see.
“Mommy?” Hana said slowly, his heart felt anxious when all he heard was the cry of the baby and also of Tamara.
“Mommy will make a video call, wait for Hana- na .”
BEEP
Tamara turned off the phone, not long after that an invitation for a video call came back on Jeffran’s cell phone.
“David?” it turned out that David’s face was there, David was already aware of it. But something strange happened to Hana.
“Hana-na, why are you looking down? I’ve seen the baby. I’m glad you two are safe.” David’s voice sounded very heavy, the smile was slightly visible even though it was blocked by the breathing apparatus.
“Yes he is very handsome like you.” Hana replied by returning David’s smile.
“Have you played it?”
Hana shook her head.
“Why?”.
“I just don’t know what to name it.”
“May i name it?”
Hana nodded.
“Andy, give him the name Andy. As for the surname, I won’t force you to give the surname Lee or Jung.”
“That’s a nice name-I like it. Thank you, now rest.” Hana looked down at the screen, he could see how heavy David’s breath was.
David smiled even more.
“Looks like I’ll be resting for a very long time Hana-na, please take good care of Andy elf.” David’s voice was getting louder.
“No David, what do you mean no-sob. Don’t say things like that.”
“Hahhhh-hahhh Hana-na-”
“David! What happened! Mommy?”
Hana panicked even more when he heard Tamara and his baby’s cries getting louder.
“Remember this is Hana-na, I–hahhhh. I love you so much, and don’t blame yourself hahhh-for all this. I love you, take care of yourselves.”
David smiled, and the video call ended with a feeling of concern that enveloped Hana now.
“No! David! David!” Hana sobbed with his hand dialing the number again but there was no answer. “No, David. Don’t joke. Sox-please don’t joke.”
It was like a dream. Hana hoped that what was in his mind didn’t happen at all. Really his mind can not be invited to think positively, the worst thing is now attached to the main brain.
“Mr. Adi, please speed up.” Jeffran ordered the driver.
“Please David, don’t go.” Hana couldn’t help but cry this time.
