Alpha’s Second Choice

Chapter 35

‘Get on top baby’, the Demon king’s ragged breathing ordered the slave. Even though the slave was a siren just like his sweet Jolene, she was nowhere close to Jolene’s beauty.

Jolene was a breath of fresh air. Her alluring sweet scent, the challenge in her eyes and her strong will to be free. It made him want her more.

Victor was so lost thinking about Jolene and her beautiful curves when he realised the pale looking slave girl had already slid his length into hers and was moving in a slow pace.

‘Like this, my king?’, she asked innocently, her perky breast on full display.

Victor just gave her a nod of approval as he closed his eyes. He liked to imagine it was Jolene riding him and pleasuring him.

The slave girl looked at the king who had his eyes closed, his face in full ecstasy. The Demon king was still single with no queen ruling by his side. She was merely a slave from the sea kingdom but she was bringing pleasure to the king’s face. Maybe her fate would not be so harsh anymore and she could get taken in as his concubine.

‘Faster baby’, Victor’s deep voice echoed in his private chambers. The slave girl hurriedly did as told as she began picking up the pace, squeezing her walls at the same time to create more suction.

‘Ahh’, Victor grunted as he soon found his release and emptied his seeds deep within her walls. ‘That was amazing, baby’.

The little slave proudly plopped beside the king, content the king considered her work ‘amazing’. ‘Does that mean I no longer have to be a slave?’.

Victor was startled for a second with the brave question. But he just smirked as he turned to face her. He brushed his long hard fingers against her smooth pale skin. ‘Yes’.

The slave’s face lit up in excitement and pure happiness but she was not prepared for what happened next.

‘You are no longer a slave’, the king menacingly laughed as his eyes turned pure black.

The slave girl screamed as Victor still held her down in the bed, the darkness in his eyes started consuming the soul of the slave. As soon as the last bit of blue spirit left from the girl’s lifeless body, Victor exhaled in pure bliss.

A small slave’s soul was only enough to give him a little boost of energy especially when it was a Siren’s. But it was not enough.

None of them felt like Jolene’s. He knew that Jolene was the perfect Siren made only for him in every way. Her enticing lips, luscious curves and unwavering stubbornness. She wanted to be equals and he found that challenging. And the merciless Demon king loved challenges.

A little dull pain left his heart when he remembered the last look she gave him, before she disappeared into the no-man’s border. Jolene had finally learnt to trust him a little, she was giving in and started to ease off. But he broke her trust and scared her away. It was true, absence made the heart grow fonder.

Now he knew, he could never lose her again. Only after he found her first.

Victor could feel it in his dark veins that Jolene was soon going to be next to him again. And this time, he was going to bound her to him. So she will never think of running again or even look at another male. That was the beauty of dark magic and bonds. It was almost as magical as the mate bond in other species like werewolves, werebears and other kinds.

‘Jolene’, he whispered as he lit the dead slave’s body with dark fire.

Dante could still remember Jo covering her face in embarrassment. She had blurted out that she wanted to save him. Luckily, only he heard her amongst the murmurs and gasps of the crowd over the beheading of the convicted guard.

The werewolf king had watched his mate in amusement. His wolf did a backflip in his mind when they heard the sweet words of their mate. She wanted to save them. He did not know how but just the thought alone was heart-warming.

Olivia was obviously not happy and now he had realised his wife had taken a dislike to his mate.

However, it was not a surprise, Olivia was a smart woman. She would have easily figured out why her husband was staring timelessly at a mere omega. There could only be one plausible reason.

Dante was relieved that Don had informed him just on time. He was just returning from the meeting with Tyron. Although the vampire leader was readily willing to help in approaching the Demon king with the mysterious werewolve deaths, Dante still had to be cautious. In origin, vampires descended from the same dark magic as the demons.

The moment Dante heard about the execution, he had sprinted back in his wolf form, stopping at nothing.

With a stroke of luck, he was able to stop the unthinkable from happening.

Stopping the execution alone was not enough. This was far from over. Dante had to cautious around his wife.

Although all the love and respect for her was gone after the infidelity, Olivia was still lawfully the Queen of the werewolf world. A title that did not fade easily.

Theo was begging Dante none stop to take Jo and mate with her. Only if it was that easy. He could not even sense Jo’s wolf spirit. His mate was an omega after all. Rejecting her would kill her, her weak spirits would not be able to tolerate the aftermath of the rejection.

Dante knew what he had to do. He could no longer prolong her stay here. It was unfair on the poor omega who only wanted freedom and to settle in the human world.

The king mind linked his right hand, ‘Caleb, call all the royal healers back from your pack’

‘Roger that’, a reply came.

Dante was still tensed as he sat on his office chair. He had sent Jo to the kingdom’s clinic to get checked. Olivia demanded Jo to be still trialled and punished. But one royal growl from him shut her up real fast.

How did Jo get into trouble so fast? The king wondered. He knew his wife was meticulous, cunning and smart. But he would have never imagined in a million years that his true mate would almost have been beheaded, had he not arrived on time.

This led Dante to wonder what Olivia’s true nature really was. When his wife magically found the antidote for his sister’s poisoning ages ago, he had not question anything. At that time, his priortiy was saving his dying sister and he was only relieved Evelyn survived the horrible ordeal with Olivia’s antidote.

But now, Dante was questioning anything and everything. He knew where he had to start, it would have to be from the very beginning….

‘Okay, I really need to breath now’, Jo wrinkled her nose to her friends. They have been hugging her tightly ever since Dante had ordered her to be released.

After spending hours in the clinic getting checked, the siren finally thought she could relax and be left alone. But boy, was she wrong.

‘We almost thought we lost you’, Lucy cried out, tugging on Jo’s gown. She still had the clinic’s gown. It was a dark blue clinic gown, too baggy for her but it was really comfortable. ‘And all because of me’.

‘Hey, stop it now Lu’, Jo sweetly called her friend. Lu sounded more endearing than Lucy. But her friend’s name was very feminine and pretty, nonetheless. Not anything like hers. Jo in short sounded like a guy’s name but she could not care less. ‘You heard the king, that guard totally deserved it and had it coming for him. Law of karma if you will’.

Lucy nodded slowly.

‘By the way, one of the royal messengers came in earlier and told us that the royal healers were soon arriving. I don’t know what it meant but he told me to pass the message to you, Jo’, Mina quizzically informed her friend.

Shit.

Jo had completely forgotten about that. How was she going to get out of this mess? Dante still believed she was an omega and that she could not accept the rejection because she was weak. When in fact, it was because she could not reveal her real title in the rejection words.

The siren had no intention of revealing herself but at the same time, a small part of her wanted to. She wanted to show her true self to her mate. Dante had saved her a couple of times now. And Jo knew deep within her heart that Dante was a fair king who cared deeply about his kind, unlike the other royals Jo had come across in the realm world.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

‘Man, I just hate Olivia’, Daya stated firmly, crossing her hands.

‘You should not say that out loud Daya. You could get into trouble’, Jo scolded the fairy. ‘It’s just your subconscious mind instating that because of what happened with me. Group friends usually tend to dislike the same person because of mob mentality’.

‘Ugh, Jo. If I did something subconsciously, I think I would know it’, the pink haired fairy rolled her eyes.

‘I-What- OK’, Jo replied in defeat.

‘Nah-ah. DAYA. Your IQ is so embarrassing. Please disown yourself as a fairy so that I don’t have to live in shame’, Mina teased her clueless friend who came charging at her. Soon, the two fairies were engaged in a pillow fight, laughing and giggling.

‘Lu, I will just step outside for some fresh air. I need some lone time’, Jo whispered to Lucy who only gave her a warm smile and nodded.

Jo stepped on the cool grass. She was bare foot and enjoying the coolness under her feet. The grass was really soft and squishy.

She walked more around the pretty royal garden, passing the colour changing fountain on her way again.

The siren lost track of time getting lost deep in thoughts.

The sun was already setting and its orange streaks were scattered all over the sky. It looked like art. She was so busy admiring nature’s beauty that she did not realise that a dark shadow had appeared behind her.

‘We meet again, Jolene’, a deep-toned voice made Jo freeze in the spot. The siren had sat on one of the stone benches in the garden. The earlier cool breeze now felt cold as she realised she was shivering out of raw fear.

Jo knew who it was and prayed she was guessing it wrong. But she wasn’t.

When she turned around, she came face to face with the dark lord.

Belial, the infamous ruthless ruler of the underworld, second only to the demon king.
