Chapter 0032
Tobias arrived at the hospital within a record-breaking time. He rushed towards the receptionist, asking about Celestine's condition.
"Miss White's room is located on the seventh floor. Room number 26." The receptionist replied, informing him that the doctors were still with her as her condition was still a bit unstable and her visitors would have to wait a bit. "I see, thank you." With that said, Tobias turned on his heels and made his way towards the elevator, his steps full of purpose and his mind a jumble mess.
What the hell had possessed Celestine to do such a thing?
He hadn't the faintest idea.
But he really hoped she was okay and would recover from this without any serious issues, because only then could they treat or face whatever had pushed her to take such a drastic action.
When he arrived on the seventh floor, Tobias was quick to locate the room.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Fiona, who was seated in the hallway, noticed him instantly and the moment she saw his face, her frowns deepened.
"Brother," She whispered and rushed into his arms, seeking comfort. When she pulled back, she examined his face and noticed the slight bruises. "W-what happened to your face?"
"Its nothing." Tobias swatted off her concern like he did to the thoughts of Helios being around Amara. "Have you spoken to the doctors yet?" He asked, his tone was calm and controlled despite his raging emotions.
Fiona shook her head. "They're still examining Celeste," She glanced back in the direction of Celestine's room and released a shaky breath. "God, I should have seen the signs... I should have..." She choked on the rest of her words and buried her face in her brother's shirt.
Tobias sighed and gently patted her back. "Don't blame yourself. Everything's gonna be okay." He glanced at Celestine's room and muttered. "Why I heaven's name would she do something like this?"
"I found messages on her phone." Fiona stated, her words aiming to answer Tobias's question. Seeing as Fiona was the one who had found Celestine, Tobias listened closely. "They all had awful and threatening words." She confessed and when she pulled away, there were tears in her eyes. "Those messages were so full of hatred and spite. I couldn't believe someone would write such terrible words, especially to someone as sweet as Celeste." She clenched her fist. "I'm sure Amara was the one who sent those messages." Tobias's eyes narrowed. "What?"
"Isn't it obvious? That bitch is annoyed that you divorced her to be with Celeste, so she's now trying to ruin Celeste's life by sending her threats." Fiona reasoned. "I'm positive it was her. If not that bitch, them who else would-"
"Enough," Tobias suddenly interrupted her, sounding irritated by the sound of her constant yapping. "Don't you know what defaming is? If you keep running your mouth pointlessly without evidence, don't you know that can get you into serious trouble?" Fiona blinked in surprise, clearly taken aback by her brother's reaction. "Are you saying Amara isn't the one behind those messages? Don't forget, she was so spiteful that she pushed both Celeste and I into the pool back at Hilton, who's to say she wouldn't-" "She didn't push you two into the pool, Fiona." Tobias interrupted calmly, but the stare he gave Fiona told her that he knew everything.
And that he did. After watching the video from Hilton for more than ten times, Tobias had come to the conclusion that Amara had indeed not pushed Neither Celestine or Fiona.
From an angle, it might have
seemed like that, but upon when he
got his hand on the full video,
provided by security cameras that were around that area, it was clear to Tobias that his sister and Tobias
velove
Celestine had not been pushed, but rather, the former fell into the pool after a failed attempt of pushing Amara and the latter, Celestine had purposely thrown herself into the pool.
Till date, he still couldn't understand Celestine's reason for doing that.
"She didn't." He repeated. "I know what happened that day, Fiona, so don't think you can lie to me. Amara did not push anyone into the pool and it was in fact you who started the entire thing."
Fiona's face became pale and for
moment, she was speechless. "I was
only trying to teach her a lesson brother. That despicable witch not only tricked grandfather into
marrying her into our family, she net
also made grandfather make
Celestine's life difficult. Do you know how much Celeste suffered because of that bitch? And even now, she's still suffering, why? Because she loves you?" Fiona shook her head. "Celestine doesn't deserve this."
Fiona's words left an impact on Tobias. He glanced at Celestine's room and felt guilt creep up his chest.
"So, you see, this entire situation is
because of her." Fiona continued. "Amara should have been held responsible for Celestine's suffering years ago, but she's wasn't, because she had grandfather wrapped around her fingers, but you can't let her get away with this, brother, because if she does, Celestine would only continue to suffer."
Taking her brother's hand, Fiona stared into Tobias's eyes and asked. "Don't you pity Celestine? She's going through all this all because of the fact that she loves you, so, can't you make things right? Brother?" Tobias was silent for a few seconds before he gently withdrew his hand from Fiona's.
"I am going to make things right. I'll cover all the medical bills and whatever treatment Celestine may need. You can tell her parents not to worry and that everything will be fine." Tobias said and began heading towards Celestine's room.
"And Amara? Aren't you going to do something about her?" Fiona asked, confused.
"Instead of worrying about Amara, I suggest you worry about yourself, because the next time you make mistake like the one you did at Hilton, there will be consequences. If you understand what I mean, make sure this incident never repeats itself, understood?" With that said, Tobias went into Celestine's room, shutting the door behind him and leaving Fiona out in the hallway to fume.
Why the hell was her brother getting all up in her business? Couldn't he see the bigger picture that Amara was behind Celestine's suffering?
That bitch, Fiona thought as she clenched her hand and glared at the floor as if it were Amara's face. I'd surely make her pay, just she wait!
