Chapter 61
"Are you deaf? Didn't you hear that I was calling you?" Tegan, who was none other than the person who had grabbed Rose's hand, spoke. She was already pissed off at the fact that Rose ignored her calling which resulted in her running a bit in her high heels to cover the
distance.
Rose let out a tired sigh before she slowly turned around and looked at Tegan.
Tegan gasped and opened her mouth in shock when she saw Rose's beautiful face. Even the customers nearby who had been watching Tegan running to Rose gasped as well when they saw the beauty in white dress. "My good goodness! What pure beauty!"
"She is obviously created by God himself."
"Is that a real face or what is that? My eyes are getting blinded by the glow surrounding her."
Rose ignored the whispers from the people, her eyes trailed down to her hand which Tegan was holding with a frown on her face. "Let go of my hand." She softly told her.
Tegan also followed Rose's gaze down and realized that she was still holding her. She immediately let go of her hand.
Rose raised her hand and rubbed her wrist as she glanced at Tegan. "How may I help you?" She suddenly asked, snapping Tegan out of her daze. It was obvious that Tegan was a lot older than her, giving her a mature face.
"Oh, well. I have no reason to call you other than the fact that you have something that I want." Tegan quickly composed herself despite the fact that she was taken aback by surprise seeing a girl younger than this beautiful. She felt so inferior to Rose just by standing in front of her.
"I don't think we have met before, Miss. How can I possess something you want?" Rose raised a clueless brow at Tegan.
"Of course, of course, we haven't met before. However, I want that red dress in that sales lady's hand." Tegan arrogantly said as she pointed to the dress in Louisa's hand.
The onlookers gasped again at how Tegan was so rude and arrogant to Rose.
"Did that woman knock her head on something? She seems to be losing an important cell in her brain?"
"Such despicable rudeness!"
"Who does she think she is?"
"Who requests something in that manner and tone?"
This time, the whispers were loud enough for Tegan to hear them and she could only grit her teeth in anger.
Rose slowly turned to look at the red dress which she was pointing at and looked back at Tegan. "I didn't take this dress from you, so why would I give you the dress?" She questioned while looking at Tegan.
"What do you mean by that? I saw that dress first before you take it, so I want it back." Tegan replied.
"Miss, you said it yourself, you saw the dress first but didn't take it. It doesn't matter who saw the dress first, what matters is who had taken the dress. This dress officially belongs to me so you have no claim over it." Rose remarked with a small frown on her face. The onlookers couldn't help but nod their head in agreement at what Rose had just said.
"That's right, why make such an outrageous request for a dress that isn't yours in the first place."
"Are you nuts? Don't you have the slightest respect for an adult? Did you know who I am to speak to me like that?!" Tegan suddenly lost her cool and lashed out at Rose.
"Miss, calm down. I don't think the
young miss here had said anything wrong. You should yell at her
way t
because she was the first person to pick the dress and is on her aoy for the dress." Louisa couldn't stand watching Tegan yell at Rose for something she didn't do so she decided to interfere in the matter
and sort things out.
Tegan turned to look at Louisa with an angry expression on her face. "And who do you think you are to interfere in my business? How low is the standard of this boutique to have a mere sales lady speak to a customer like me? Have you all gone crazy?!" She yelled at Louisa.
Despite being yelled at, Louisa
calmly took the insult and was to say something again to Tegan but Rose raised her hand to stop her. "As a civilized human, I think you should know that the sales lady was just doing her job. Even if the customer is of higher standard than them, you are in their

have to bend to their rules. An adult
like you should know that." Rose didn't bother refraining from her words and shot back at Tegan. She was already losing her patience being stopped by Tegan. All she planned to do is shop in peace.
"That young girl is right."
"She has no regards for the workers here, what a rude woman?"
"What a disgrace. She claimed she is an adult but is obviously throwing tantrums like a child."
"What do you expect from a wealthy spoiled brat? Even though both women look like they came from wealthy homes, the young girl in white is way more mature than her."
"You-" Tegan stammered as she pointed at Rose. She wanted to speak but she couldn't as the whispers from the crowds was confusing her and not making her think straight.
Uninterested in talking to Tegan anymore, Rose turned on her heels to walk away. However, Tegan reacted quickly and grabbed Rose's hand wrist again, this time her grip tightened around her wrist.
"Where did you think you're going? You don't walk off in front of an adult, didn't your mother teach manners?!" Tegan remark.
The expression on Rose's face turned dark instantly when she heard her. Mother? She is very sensitive to that word, most especially at the moment when she had just recalled her mother again thanks to the red dress.
Swallowing the pain she was feeling
from Tegan's tight grip, she took a step forward closer to Tegan. "Aren't you one who lacks manners, seeing how you are touching a stranger without permission. Now, let go of hand. She said in a soft tone but loud enough for everyone to hear. Before Tegan could let go of Rose's hands, she raised her other hand and smacked Tegan's hand off her wrist.
